Serandite wasn't quite sure what to do now. There was nobody in sight and missing one night of starseed stealing shouldn't prove fatal to her health. She was quite sure that other negaverse agents didn't waste every single night of their negaverse lives to steal some starseeds. Surely they must have better things to do with some of their nights?
Or, so she would have thought. If she thought that, then why was she out?
She twirled her hand around her finger, staring into the empty park. Lights were dimly lit and benches were empty, not even the crickets seemed to make a sound. Well, she didn't have a life tonight. She debated sitting up on this tree all day. Oh gosh, she needed that handy item called an mp3 player. Or perhaps a portable gaming console. How it would have been horribly useful at the moment, she thought to herself. But if it got smashed in battle, that would have been quite a nuisance. With each passing second, she grew more and more bored. And waiting for an idea to occupy her time was not coming to her. Not. At. All.

Variscite let the bubbles go down her throat, their tickling a slim reminder of parties that she used to attend this time of night.
She wasn't drunk, not yet anyway. Champagne didn't have that much of an affect on her, even though she held the entire bottle in her hand. She threaded a hand through her hair, strutting through the park like the owned the place.
All right, maybe she was a little tipsy.
When she first saw the giant plush rabbit, she started to laugh.
"My, my," she drawled. "If I had known that I'd start hallucinating rabbit dolls, I would've gotten the more expensive stuff."
She quickly stepped over to the smaller girl and lifted the bottle to her lips again.
"Apologies, dear, that isn't regal of me at all, is it?"
Variscite chuckled.
"But you see, I was supposed to have some fun tonight. Sadly, I had a nasty little break-up before the party could get started. Little lady just wasn't ready for my style of fun."

Regal.. Hey say what? This person was obviously talking to Serandite and she didn't have a clue as to what this stranger was talking about.
"Uh-- what?" Serandite couldn't help replying, confusion and bewilderment met this new stranger. Should she steal her starseed..? The person might be too drunk to notice-- actually, Serandite was quite distracted. Was this a girl or a boy? She couldnt quite identify it and so she moved on.
Moved on to put both of her hands on Vari's chest, being entirely too forward. She patted it, still unable to identify the stranger through the thick fabric.
".. what gender are you?" The insulting question was asked because Serandite just didn't have time for tact tonight.

"...." Variscite stared down at the girl-- was she groping her? The lieutenant raised an eyebrow, just continuing to stare. She doubted that Serandite would feel anything (except perhaps a nice binding cloth).
She tossed the mostly-full bottle over her shoulder and listened to it shatter on the glass.
"Well, that's enough for me, tonight. I figure it's time to stop drinking when I start getting molested by little girls," Variscite's grin widened as she eyed the pink-haired lieutenant, ignoring her question. "Do you think I'm a dirty old man? Just how old are you?"
Variscite gently took Serandite's hands from her chest and moved them to her shoulders. "Don't we usually start up here? And people say I'm forward!" With that, Variscite leaned in for a kiss, misinterpreting Serandite's motives in her champagne-induced haze.

She couldnt tell. How does one not identify the gender of another? Usually something gave them away. But the binding didnt reveal anything-- this appeared to be a very girly guy or a very manly girl. "Wait-- you got it wrong, I'm not molesting you--!" Well, truthfully, Serandite wasn't. but technically.. feeling up another's chest probably bordered along the lines of molestation.
Her hands out up on the other's shoulders, she didnt realize what the male--female? was doing until she was an inch away from her face. That was when an unearthly scream came from Serandite, shoving herself away from Variscite's grip in obvious panic.
"Aiiiieeeiiiii--gahhh!"
It was.. to put it simply, a weird scream. But nevertheless, a scream of rejection. In a moment, she had hidden behind the tree that she had been sitting on five minutes ago, her bunny hiding along with her, in front of her, acting as a shield. She was a very panicked short girl with outrageously pink hair.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? I just wanted to see what gender you are and you pull a stunt like that? Don't get near me--!" She said loudly, like a cat hissing in panic and terror. One could almost envision the hair on ends and the tail sticking up, from the way Serandite was acting. She didn't realize that her actions had been misunderstood nor did she realize that the other was drunk.

Variscite rubbed her ears, a high-pitched whine coming from her lips. It sounded pretty feminine, almost enough for Serandite to at least guess her gender.
"LOUD!" she cried. "Negaverse lieutenants shouldn't be allowed to hit such an octave!"
Variscite let her arms hang loosely at her sides. "I don't get you, little lady. First you run up to me and start feeling me up, then you're screaming at me."
She slowly walked towards the tree, another laugh making her shoulders shake. "You're trembling, you know that? I'm not going to hurt you, we serve the same Queen. I believe, though, the proper conduct is to ask for names and... other information."

"I didn't know what gender you were. You can't blame me for trying to figure it out." She hissed, convinced that she wasn't at fault here. She suspected that the other might have been a girl, judging from the voice. But why was this girl.. lesbian?
Serandite never minded those as long as they didnt involve her. But this one had almost definitely did.
As the stranger neared, Serandite walked around the tree, avoiding getting too close with the stranger. "Like I'd let a unidentifiable lieutenant leave a scratch on me?" She said in a hostile manner, refusing to allow the other within a three meter radius.
"It's.. Serandite." She said, obviously reluctant to give her name. Apparently, these two lieutenants had not met with the best impressions.

"Ever heard of asking?" Variscite held a finger to her lips. "Sometimes using your mouth is better than using your hands." Variscite rubbed her forehead, still smiling.
"Damn, I think I had too much..." She rolled her shoulders back and looked at the lieutenant, and then at the tree in-between them. She thought that Serandite was precious, if a little young. Her large eyes betrayed the darkness of a corrupt Star Seed, no matter how cute she was. It was almost alluring-- well, it was alluring enough for Variscite to try to kiss her while drunk. That meant something, right?
"If you had no fear of scratches, then why are you working so hard to keep things separating us?" The girl chuckled.
"Well, I guess if it makes you feel better, then who am I to question you? I am Variscite, a lieutenant like you."

Asking.. Huh. That hadn't occurred to Serandite at the moment.
She was confused by the lieutenant's words. A little too much.. what? Nothing this person said made sense-- her looks didn't even make sense, Serandite though frustratedly. She would try to answer everything-- reasonable. Serandite was calm. She was composed. (She didn't feel like that at the moment.) "Well, first question. What gender are you?" She pointed to Variscite from behind the tree, accusing brown eyes turned towards the other lieutenant.
"I'm separating us because you tried to kiss me. Assuming you're female, not only is that horribly awkward and the fact you're not witty, pretty but you're gay. If you're male, feel free to correct me but you still won't be any prettier or wittier than you were before." She said snobbishly, waving her hand in a distinctly annoying girly manner.
