The caverns along the western most edge of the city are home to the poorer denizens of Au Shinduago. Overrun with crime and slum houses, its a place of constant struggle and never ending misery. Hard knocks and murder await any who try to take what isn't theirs.

"You are not my master. Remember that." Serethiel, now known simply as "Bae'aste", simpered behind the male. Months of independence had made her shrewd.
"I'm your anonymity. You remember that."
"So be it. But should Val'atar return--"
Vornel spun on his heel, covering her mouth. "Do not utter that name here! Would you risk being discovered?! The Masked Lord has some task yet for you, if I could only fathom why..." He released her after drawing more than a few stares, "But you'd do well to forget that idea, halfbreed. The Prince is lost... Vhaeraun will not reveal how or why. It is simply so. For now, you will serve me and mine." The taller male glowered from beneath his black half-mask.
"As you wish, jabbuk."
Bae'aste walked behind him in silence for a long time. She hated Val'atar, but she remembered well his threats. Her sword had disappeared, many nights ago, and the scabbard stank of his dark taint. Somewhere, he existed. He breathed.
He was aware.
A cold shiver marched on her spine. As his personal assassin, she'd been subject to many abuses, none of which she missed.
Behind the emerald eyes of Bae'aste, Serethiel was safe--
For now.

After delivering the sigil, Ironclaw returned to the hovel he had aquired for rest and planning. The run down dwelling was ideal for his purposes, it was discrete, out of the way, and unremarkably visible. Removing his helm the living weapon ran a hand through his ash white hair, deep in thought over what the future held. So much yet to be done amidst these petty holy wars. These gods meant little to Ironclaw, all they had ever granted him was suffering... Lolth, Kiaransalee, Zehir, all were the same, all cared only for themselves. And so that it what Ironclaw had chosen to do, only his own plan mattered now, only his life was worth saving. Kneeling, he fell into a soft, reverent mumur infront of a small shrine made only of his weapons and the helm that hid his face. Those who listened carefully enough would hear not prayers, but poetry.

"Here you are. I expect you to pay on time, unless...", The owner of the ransack building, slide a thumb against Irrafay's face. She twitch and put a quiver in her voice. Personal, she would have run him through and taken control of the property, but she wasn't use to the area so she would have to wait on that plan.
"Brother dear, could - could you put that stuff up. I'll be done here soon." He brother gave her a comic side glance before stepping in further to examine the second room.
With a shy appearance, she turned towards the owner. "Here" she put some money in his hand. It was just the right amount. "This is all we have, but we'll make sure you get paid on time."
The owner scolded at the sum, and then shrugged. "If you ever have a hard time finding money. You know where I am." He whispered leaning towards her.
Irrafay, knew what was expect, so she gave it. She shivered and ran towards the door shielding herself behind it."Um...good bye." Her eyes fluttered everywhere but his person.
His laughter oozed through the door that she had quickly closed. "Well, now what?" Valdear leaned against the door frame to the second room.
"We need more information on our area and whats going on in this city." She said running a hand through hair. She tugged a chunk of something out of her hair and throw it on the ground."Maybe there will be a guild or something that might need a few extra hands. There might even be something to...I don't know. It seems that there is going to be a celebration soon. The Ilharn of the Qu'ellar Druu'giir, his the lord of the city.He's- he has reappeared from where ever he was. Oh, when you go out be aware that there might be a few of his...'people' around."
"His 'people'?" Valdear had been heading towards the second room, but turned back to look at his sister. "You make it sound like his people are demons or something?"
Irrafay shot her brother a glare."Rumor has it that some of his kids are. And that they're loss in the city...doing 'stuff' - Look just be careful. And bring back some info, okay?"
Valdaer nodded. "You be careful too."
Irrafay blinked at the retreating form of her brother before smiling and called after him. "I'll will." And with that she slipped into the third room.

Irrafay heard the scream and then the tussle that followed. Sounds of chains, a whip, and scream of people fleeing the area, made her squish herself against the wall in an alley.
Slavers. She thought holding her breath. A need part of society mother told me, but I can never forget or forgive that part of society for coming around and 'cleaning out' our old home.
Heavy silence came in the wake of lizards grunt and the orders of the leader. She still didn't move and then normal sounds came back in. And she walked forward, heading towards her lugging.
"Vedui' dalninil" Valdaer had pick up his pace. He had been following a group of newbies from a Raiders guild when he had spied his sister. How did the information search go for you?"
A dry look was her reaction, "Not well, all I got was stuff on the City Lord. Half of the stuff can't be believed. 100 half demons and why none tried for his throne while he was gone. Or that he has a demon army at his beck and call. Oh, and I love the one about him dueling a god and that is why he hasn't been around." She sighed and loosed her hair as she stepped in their rooms.
Her brother stopped short at the door way. The front room had been empty, but now had a simple stone table, a small fire in the back and trunk where he guessed his finds went. "Well despite the useless information. It clear you spent part of the cycle well." He stepped inside and closed the door.
Irrafay merely looked at him over her shoulder. "Well, I couldn't let you do all the work. Oh, I did your room too, so we're not sleeping on the ground or close to it." She sighed, then walked into her room while calling out. "We need to confer over the information. And I hope that pack of your carries food or you'll end up being dinner tonight."

Valdaer had just finished munching on a mushroom and counting their new amount of coins, when the door opened to reveal Irrafay. “Hey, so today I had a bit of luck. I kinda stumbled on a group of thieves, we had a fight about territory, I won and…Okay, what happened after I left you?”
Irrafay looked up from the ground at him, he could tell. By now she would have said something or chuckled, but she had just stood by the closed door in silence. “I meet him today,” She muttered heading for one of their ransack chairs.
Valdear narrowed his eyes, “Met who?”
“The lord of the City,” She snatched a mushroom from the bowl Valdear had been eating out his from. Valdear was stand iron rod in the middle of the room, “You met him? How…no forget that. What did he do?”
She leaned back in the chair munching calmly, She told him of the incident. All of it. "After he took a mushroom and walked off he sent me a thought message…It was ‘We will meet again’. I felt insulted when he throw gold at my feet, but I didn’t leave it there.”
For a moment silence consumed then and then Valdaer turned towards his room, “We’re leaving.”
That woke Irrafay up, “We can’t leave. This could be our big break.”
“Oh right, so you want to be the next holder for his children or maybe he’ll use you like he did with the other drowess that he took off the street. Now where is she, oh right, back on the street sex crazed and spreading her legs and taking hits. I’m going to let you become that.” He waved his hand toward the door, rage painted his face.
Irrafay got up and cupped his face. “You shouldn’t worry so much. We will have our foot in the door. My mind is strong and I have done it before.” she said this nonchalantly as she turned and head towards her room, practicing her grace and balance.
Valdaer shrugged, “Look lets just be prepared. You that once you’re in that fortress it will be impossible to get out and he didn’t include me.”
Irrafay stopped in her doorway, letting out a sigh she nodded, “We’ll prepare. And know that I’m not going anywhere near that house without my perfect partner.”
As Irrafay disappeared though the door, Valdaer slumped into one of the chairs.I hope everything that you’re planning works. Cause, Irrafay, it appears that we really are dealing with a demon.

Irrafay let out a sigh as she slumped onto the one of their two chairs. Her strength amazed her, but maybe the scale had opened something or maybe add something to her person.
No matter, the good thing is that everything is pack. Our new false name are working, She leaned back in the chair as if to relax.
Her body however hummed with excitement. Ventures always excited her. The chance of new things to find, poor souls to leech dry, all of it caused a thrill to pulse through her.
She was considering all that was need, all the possible factors, and the people she had to wait for. When the door opened to reveal a slightly smelly Valdaer.
She wrinkled her nose, while he smiled. "The smell is unpleasant sure, but the cause of the smell will make you smile. I spoke to the slavers, I told them I would give them a good word with the Druu'giir House, if they hold the...now wait for it...twenty thieves and people who agreed to join. All are in good shape, and willing to work."
A small smile played across Irrafay's face, as she said,
"Well, we have the place. The owner promise a full stock of items and goods, the place entirely cleaned, and ready for move in by the end of the cycle. Oh and I have made contact with our good friend. Hopefully he will send the signal. If not," She shrugged.
Valdaer nodded, "We'd better go. Thanks to all that we've saved up this is an affordable venture, but I...".
He didn't finish, he didn't need to. Irrafay understood, but they had to move quickly. The quicker they moved, the more information they could collect. Valdaer shouldered one of the bags and lifted their trunks. Irrafay followed with the last of their items.
