Hello friends, like rping? Like fighting while your rping? Like Gaia Gold? Good them this is the place for you. With the blessings of the Guild Leader I am doing a rp tournament for any and all who are interested.

Here are some rules:

1. All basic Guild rules, and Gaia rules must be followed in these rps. Though I consider myself very lineant in things like profanity, this is not my guild, and I would rather avoid drama from the Gaia admins.
2. Rp is open to all members of the GLV. No strings attached, no proof of your skills needed. If you feel skilled enough to join go for it. If you don't but still wanna join, go for it. But don't expect to get too far.
3. If your leaving, give notice and we will hold your fight. If you don't give notice and are gone for more than 3 days, you forfeit your fight, unless your opponent feels obligated to finish it, and even still we won't wait longer than a week.
4 The fights will end after 20 postes, that means 10 posts from each rper. That way the rps won't be going on forever.
5. A profile for the specific character is much appreciated and actually required. This will give us a good idea of what your char would be like, and see if some of his abilities might be too broken. Which leads me too...
6. NO OVER POWERED CHARACTERS. This is going to be a head to head fight, and those fights are going to be judged on the quality of the rping. Not how beefed up and over powered your character is. All characters should be at somewhat equal grounds with each other when it comes to combat. Now I'm not saying no vampires and great magical creatures shouldn't be used, but if someone comes in as a human, don't make the excuse that your character is too powerful to be defeated by a mere human. I don't mean when your IC, but I mean complaining to me OOC. Finally if your character is more of a speed character, be reasonable and do not over power a character based to be strong, and vise versa.
6-1. Further more, no auto kills, constant dodgeing of your opponets attacks, and super powered auto hits. Only auto hits allowed are somwhat weak auto hits, like an attack to knock your opponet away so you can set up for another move or trying to gain ground
6-2. Also no meta gaming. Meta gaming is having your IC know somthing about your opponet that they could not possible find out. As in weaknesses and how their powers work.
7. This is not strictly a OP rp. You can use any type of character you want outside of the OP world that is within reason. Again anything within the OP world is also ok. I do appreciate originality, but it isn't required

Furthermore I would like to ask for two crew or captains to help me judge and not be bias about decisions. Since one persons opinion isn't as good, or for that matter fair, as three.

Here is what we will be Judging on:

Literacy: Yeah we all can't be perfect and I know I made plenty of errors in writing this, but if you plan on being taken more seriously than your opponent then plan your post out and check for mistakes.
Length: Now I am not saying this because I want your post to be insanely long. Quite the contrary, I would rather read post that get to the point and at the same time emerse me into the fight. This means, don't go into horrendous detail about your opponents strengths and flaws, fight a horde of npc before fighting your opponent, and anything else that doesn't contribute to the big picture and is just ment to make your post seem longer. Now touching on a few things is k, as long and you don't touch on the same thing constantly in every post.
Quality: Now this is where I need the extra help, since I usually see rping skills at three levels, beginner, good, and great. If two greats go at it, I want a second and third opinion. Now by quality I mean how well it gets us into the the battle. This is where you need to think like a writer as well as a rper. This is also where the big impressions come from. If you are able to write more than your opponet and still keep us immersed then you got money in the bank, but like I said, post that are too long can be boring which will kill you in this spot.
Modesty. The former might give you the most points, but this is where I personally will be the hardest on. This is how well you take your fights. By that I mean, lack of power gaming aka god modding. I hate this the most when it comes to rping, and even more than an illiterate rper. By avoiding harsh point deduction in this section, try to avoid major auto hits, instant kill moves, instant delimbing moves, and constant dodging of all your opponents attacks. Like I said though, minor auto hits are just fine with me, but then again I can't say the same about the other two who might be judging this.

Literacy: Up to 5 points
Length: Up to 5 points
Modesty: Up to 5 points
Quality: Up to 10 points

That is 25 points to earn. Then we add all three of the judges point scores. Ties will hopefully not be a problem.

Now the part your all looking forward too, the prizes.

Every person who joins the rp and STICKS IT OUT TIL THE END, will get 1K participation prize. You don't have to stay during your whole fight, since we cant make you, but you do it's an easy 1K

I am looking for at least 8 Participates so this can be a smooth going Bracket. A course we can have more, but the tournament will then have bi's. Once we have 8 devoted rpers the tournament will stay open for another day or two before we start. Next post will explain the profile set up. Also dont be afraid to ask questions.
