They exited the movie theater amid the normal tangle of people, chattering about the film or films they had seen the smell of the popcorn lingering around them as much as the memory of spilled soda and over priced sweets lingered in their memories. Somehow all the sweeter, more delicious and more sinful for having been purchased from the concession stand and nibbled at in the dark to the colors, music and sounds of the 'american film experience'

"That was -way- better than I thought it was going to be!" Ume exclaimed doing a happy pirouette. "I am -so- glad we went, and I was expecting it to be SO much more crowded than it was!" She gushed squishing what was left of her bag of sour water mellon candy in her exuberance into a gummy pastel green and pink mass.

"DEFIANTLY" she agreed whole heartedly
"It was my first time seeing Avatar, I really didn't know if I'd like it! I mean it was kinda long but it was good! The colors were just so... so WOW..." She said waving her hands at a loss for words.
"I wish we had a Sherlock Holmes for ...you know our team... can you imagine? You...I deduce are the princess, its obvious from your regal manner and... and all these other little things that are common place but UTTERLY unnoticeable till their pointed out." She waved her hand and laughed.
"I suppose if it were -that easy we wouldn't be needed though would we?" She beamed and bumped Beth's shoulder with her own in a friendly sort of tottery lean thanks to her high heels.

"I'll be poking you any time I see a Movie I want to see in the paper now" she laughed. "Though one of these times I'll have to see if my sister can come, I think she'd like you! Though she -might- make you wear some of her designs as a model!" She laughed in warning.

One by one the streetlamps flickered to life as the girls continued to chatter and giggle about the movies they had seen, the massive crowd slowly dispersing as people wandered in huddled groups from car to car. There were safety in numbers, after all -- especially concerning news of a meteorite landing in Destiny City. Meteors and magical terrorists, what next will come to Destiny City? Aliens?

Nope. Another giant monster, in fact. This one in particular hissed in irritation as the lamps began lighting up one by one in the parking lot, disturbing its peaceful rest. It did not like the light, nor did it like the growing hunger in its belly. Slowly, carefully it hauled itself to its six feet, head swinging back and forth. Smoke curled out of its mouth as it drew its lips back, sucking in the air in quick breaths. It did not care for the sweet and sickening smell of butter and candy that blew in from the movie theater's vents, but the heat! The delicious warmth that the youma thrived on, absorbed. But the vents were starting to pump cold air now as the temperature lowered, sending the youma clinking and clattering away towards the back of the theater.

It paused at the roof's edge, head turning this way and that. There were no lights here -- a bigger improvement than the previous area. It slid over the building's edge, claws digging into the stonework as it crawled down the building. It was hungry, hungrier than it was the previous night when it had found a starseedless bum to snack on. He liked it when his food just sat there, even if it was cold.

But now... Now it wanted something. Anything.

The sounds of something large moving ahead caused it to look towards the front of the alley and hiss softly. Perfect! It was large, warm, and best of all... he could hear its headbeat beneath the whispering hum of it. With a roar, the youma charged down the alley and threw its shoulders against the bus that was pulling up to Ume and Beth's bus stop, mistaking the mechanical automobile for a large edible creature.

Why did things always end this way.

The next few seconds happened in such a blur. The night was nice, fine, and quiet. Minus the two girls chattering back and forth at the bus stop while they waited. The bus was in the distance- evident by the lights that were spotlighted onto the duo. That's when it happened.

WHAM.

"OhmygodWHAT.THE.HELL!"

Beth and Ume sure had the part of 'innocent bystanders' down pact- anyone whom looked at them would think they were freaking out. Except well- this wasn't an act. "We need to Henshin up!" Beth said- stating the obvious she grabbed Ume's upper arm and hauled her away. People would probably think they were running away to get help... haha the irony.

Ducking behind a large dumpster she brought out her pen and held it into the air- whispering "Lyra star power, Make up!" Within a split second Sailor Lyra stood there, blue/gold fuku and all, and waited for Ume so they could go help those poor people. In the meantime-

"Nebula scatter!" The whole area was covered with a blanket of floating colorful dust particles- making visibility worse than usual.

"MuCephi Star Power Make up!" She cried and a moment later stood in her own black and crimson regalia.
Her eyes widened as Lyra's attack seemed to disorient it far more than "Dust in the eyes" could account for.

"Wow... Go B...Lyra!" She said amazed, and reached for her brooch pin and pricked her finger
"BAD BLOOD!" She called flicking her hand like she was pointing at the monster to condemn it. A small spray of tiny red droplets flew forth and elongated into tiny needles.

The creature continued to mill about in confusion, swinging its snout to and fro. Heat? No. There? Nothing. Just little annoying stings of rough-cold that didn't go away when he raised a paw to swat at them. Maybe the other paw? The youma reared up onto its hind legs, its front four limbs flailing in the air. HA! There wasn't stinging-stones here!

What there was, however, was a stinging hurt sensation that prickled its belly, causing the creature to shriek and collapse, turning in and on itself to try and lick the pain away. Even with its elongated mouth it could not reach the wound, giving up as it felt movement behind it. The youma twisted and snapped its jaws to where it thought the senshi was, snarling as blood began to ooze from its wound.

"Ack!" She screamed out in frustration- recoiling on herself barely having the jaws of the youma hit a home run. Though she did lose part of her skirt in the process, the sound of cloth ripping being what gave it away. The stupid thing ripped off a chunk of her skirt!

Being slightly more irritated now than before... Lyra looked around for anything that could be used as a projectile. Shoe box? Whynot! Picking up the first thing she saw in a trash can- she flung it in the direction the skirt snatching youma was last time.

She really wasn't thinking about what she did next...it was beyond stupid. And she knew as she ran and jumped that she was ultimately destined to land on her bottom... at least.

But she took that running leap at it to try and save Lyra from its jaws trying to drill her long boot heels into its back. Maybe she could slow it down... Or something.
She just didn't know how many more times she could fling her little needles.
