I realize this should probably go in the pent house, but im not 18. sooo i decided i would post it here. Yesterday i asked my friend if he'd get me a condom just to keep in my wallet. you know, like guys do. I figured. if guys can carry them around why cant i? Plus, it couldn't hurt to have one. I have no intentions of having sex. I just want to have one encase something ever got out of control. So, today he brought me 2. There exactly the same. there orange. and i put them in my wallet. but i don't know much about condoms. Like, how long till they expire. (this one has an expiration date on it) But how do i know if its correct? And are certain condoms better then others? What if the condom i have is the wrong size? I realize these are all really weird questions but i dont know. anyone willing to inform me?

Wallets are one of the worst places to store a condom. Your body heat over time and changes in temperature can cause the latex to rip more easily. The expiration date on the condom is considered the last date it could be used it stored correctly. I recommend using it a few months before the expiration date if stored correctly. Many people believe that some condoms are better than others, I personally consider 2 specific types of condoms to be ones that should not be used for sex. Lamb skin condoms are porous and can transmit STDs, do not use these. Thin condoms are also a no-no in my book. They are acceptable for oral sex but not vaginal, or a**l.

I would also recommend getting to know exactly how to properly use a condom (a shame, most people don't know how to use 'em). It's somewhat pointless to have a condom and use it wrong.

I also forgot to mention these two things about other types of condoms not to use.
- Spermicidal condoms are NOT recommended. They can irritate the vulva/v****a, and increase the chance of urinary tract infections in women.
- Flavoured condoms are for oral sex ONLY; they will encourage infections in the v****a if used during intercourse.

- Lubrication - makes penetrative sex of any kind a lot easier. Use water-based or silicone-based lubricant with latex condoms.

Spermicide is a chemical that will kill sperm to prevent pregnancy. A lot of women have some sort of reaction to the chemical, and it can cause major problems.
