Tsubame was free of the den and the cubs, both hers and the ones that Achal had brought home. Most of the cubs were out playing with friends or with Ban'ma, Maua, or Achal which was fine with Tsubame even though she felt a pang of pain when she thought of all the time the cubs spent with their other parents.
She decided to go out hunting since it seemed she had quite a bit of free time. As she was walking slowly through the pride lands, heading toward the boarder in a zigzag path, she could see other lions, lionesses, and cubs playing and living. Tsu felt a loneliness settle on her petite frame as she occasionally paused to watch from a distance. She was part of her family but it seemed like she was apart from it as well. Her cubs, she unconsciously included the five that Achal brought home, seemed to be spending more and more time from the den. Achal was always out and about, as were Ban'ma and Maua. She couldn't blame her family for living but sometimes Tsu felt like she was an outsider looking in. This feeling was likely residual issues stemming from her mother abandoning her but she would never admit that to herself let alone others.((im thinking it will turn into a hunting lesson ^^ '))

Lililamuna peered out of the den, it seemed all her mothers were out with their cubs, her own sibling seemed off somewhere away, her tail coiled around her hind leg as it hit her, she was alone. A sense of dread began to well up inside of her before her eyes fell onto the glimpse of her mother, wandering off on her own. Her eyes lit up as she mewed to her softly, she quickly untied her tail from around her leg and dashed towards her, mewling softly as she ran towards her, a p***k of tears glimmered in the corners of her eyes.

At first Tsu didnt hear the mewling of the young cub but it didnt take long for her mother's ears to pick it up. At first she thought it was coming from one of the cubs in the distance but it was too familiar for that and a quick look around showed her a small blue-red stary form topped in white heading for her.
It was Lililamuna who was heading right for her like flecks of metal to a lodestone. Hoping nothing was wrong since Tsu thought she was out with friends, she jogged the short distance between them. The tears that glimmered in the young cubs eyes disturbed her more then she would admit to herself. "Lililamuna, dearest, whats wrong?" She asked as she nuzzled the small cub.

Lililamuna clung to her mothers nuzzling muzzle as she rubbed her whole face against it with a purr. "I thought everyone had left me behind!" she exclaimed in her quiet voice.
She quickly let go of her mothers muzzle, and sat neatly at her paws, tail coiled around her paws as her head was slightly lowered, she didnt want to disappoint her mother or father infront of the pride. She sniffled lightly, trying to keep herself under control, she looked up at her mother. "Your not leaving me right?" she asked softly.

"Never!" Tsu said with venom not even thinking about it, both for leaving behind Lilil as well as leaving her in general. She paused after giving her answer. Did she really mean that she would never leave on of her cubs? Would she not repeat what her mother did to her? For once Tsubame felt certain that she would never voluntarily leave any of her cubs, she might never be a great mother but at least she would be there for them.
"Dearest, I thought you were out with your friends or siblings or I never would have left to go hunting." Tsu gave a quick lick to Lili's cheek and tried to think of something that would interest the young cub. When a small bug bounded out of some tall grass to disappear into yet more tall grass Tsu got an idea. "How would you like to go hunting with your old lady?" It wouldn't be hunting anything big, a rabbit would be about it in size, but it would give Tsu a perfect way to teach the young banu to hunt.

Her ears perked up at the thought of hunting, she nodded her head with a grin. "I'd like that." She said, as she rose to her paws, and pranced around in a happily little circle.
"No, I was napping." She said with a shift of her paws, "I wont get in the way?" she asked looking up at Tsu, she felt closer to this lioness than any of the others, though she was still a bit haunted by the fact that her own birth mother had choosen others over, her and her brother.

"Of course you wont get in the way. Besides this way you will learn to be a great hunter and will be able to be the pride of your pad's harem." Tsu nuzzled her daughter. Even though Lili and her brother were not actually her biological cubs it didn't take long for Tsu to consider them hers. Tsu was more then glad to take in the five cubs of Achal's as her own since family was slowly becoming the most important thing in her life.
With a smile Tsu asked, "are you ready to go dearest? Its almost always better to hunt early in the morning or later in the day. Noon is too hot for most but I don't want to be out too late since your father would worry." It was on the lee side of the afternoon when the noon day heat was dissipating, a perfect time to go hunting.
((not sure if i ever posted the time of day so here it is ^^ ))

((aim loging from here on ^^)) Lili beamed up, even though the rejection she felt from her own mother picking her other siblings to stay still stung, she kept it hidden and adored Tsu, she grinned a little. "I want to be a good banu when I grow up. Like you are with Daddy!" She said with a nod, she was very close with her father, almost clinging to any bit of affection or attention he sent her way. At the question of being ready, she shook out her coat, hopped on her paws, leftside then the right side before she wiggled her rump. "Im ready!" she beamed.
Tsu smiled down at the bouncy cub, she really would make a good banu or maybe even beybanu. "Your father makes it easy to love him." Tsu knew, even if Lili didn't quite yet, that she would go to a pad that would cherish her just as Achal cherished Tsu. With light laugh at her daughter's hopping Tsu turned back to the borders. "Now we aren't going to cross the border today since I agree with your father when he says that you should stay away from it until you are older. But that doesn't matter if all we are doing is hunting some rabbits."
She beamed up at her mother, and nodded her head. "I love daddy.." she bounced around Tsu's paws while she was quiet eager to try and hunt. "The borders are dangerous." She said in a softer tone, her eyes wide. "I dont want to go over those..." She shook her head wildly. "But, I wanna bring back a rabbit!"
She smiled down at her but her smile went slightly sad when Lila mentioned that the borders were dangerous, Tsu knew that quite well... thought it was more like the rouge lands rather then the border. "Don't worry Lila we wont. We will go out just a bit more so the noise of the pride doesn't scare away from the pride." Looking her right in the eye Tsu added, "I'll be right here with you. Nothing will go wrong." She started to move off, expecting the cub to follow. She didn't go far, only until most pride sounds were muted and distant. Turning to Lili Tsu said, "Ok first thing we should know is any noise will put your pray on alert. Do you know why?"
"Cause it could hear us?" She answered in a soft voice, she did her best to keep close on Tsu's heels. She looked around, taking it all in, the sights, the smells , and the sounds of it all came to her in a rushing fashion. "Is the prey here now?" she looked around wildly.
"Thats right." Tsu mimicked Lili's voice so she didn't scare any rabbits away. "Well I don't know. First we have to see if we smell one, then we try to hear it, then if we are lucky we can spot it." She smiled at the young cub then sank down into the grass so it was virtually hiding her, her voice drifting from the grass. "Then we stalk it until we get into striking distance. Then what?"

Scrunching down as low as she could get, Lili nodded as she listened to her mother, her belly almost on the ground as she looked around before replying. "After were in striking distance...we pounce right?" she whispered as softly as she could, so that if there was a rabbit near by, then she wouldn't scare it away by talking to loudly.
Tsu smiled widely, her daughter was picking this up very fast. "Thats right. And what happens if we miss the first time? Do we chase or just find different prey?" Now with this question Tsubame wasn't really looking for a right answer since both had their merits, she was more or less looking for the answer of 'it depends'. That would open the discussion for the different hunting types for different prey.
"Hmmm.." Her brows knitted together and she mulled over the answer, surely they could try again, but then again that might lead them to nothing, and out of breath which would make it harder for them to find another prey. She chewed her lip nervously now, she didn't want to give the wrong answer. "Either, could be okay?" she said softly, unsure if it was the right answer or not.
"Correct." Tsu was proud that her little cub figured out her trick question. "You see if you lose your prey you could give chase and tire your self out or you could find new prey losing time. If you give chase for a short distance you don't exhausted your energy and leave plenty for more prey if necessary. The larger the prey the more you have to think about." It was likely too early to really be talking about this but Lili was the same age Tsu was when Tsu was forced to learn about hunting. "What would one have to worry about if one was hunting something like say a zebra?"
"Hooves." She replied quickly, she figured a flying hoof to the face, or side would hurt, and be dangerous. She wasn't sure she'd ever be ready to take down a zebra, but she gazed up at Tsu with adoring eyes, maybe her mother would let her help her hunt one some day!
"And your team mates." Lila was such a bright cub and it was with a heart full of love that Tsu gave her a quick nuzzle. "Big prey such as zebra, wilderbeast, and the like are best taken with a team of at least three lionesses otherwise it is not very likely that a kill will result. What would you suggest would be good prey for a lone lioness?" Tsu knew that when Lila was old enough that her, Jinan, Fayrus, and Ban'ma would have to go hunting as a team so all the girls would get a chance to hunt together.

At the nuzzle, she couldn't help but purr happily. She enjoyed pleasing her mother, and father too but with so many cubs he was a touch harder to get to spend time with. "Gazelle?" she finally said, they were small but quick, a group might get in the way of snagging one, even if they had horns.
"And rabbits of course." Tsu smiled and nodded in the direction that they were situated. A small brown figure hesitantly hopped from one clump of grass to another, nibbling as he went. With a motion to stay quiet Tsu waited until the rabbit's movements became less hesitate before nodding in its direction. With her movements alone Tsu was trying to tell Lila to try her skills.
She looked to her mother to make sure she was understanding correctly, before she started forward, almost crawling on her belly as she neared closer to the rabbit, she kept her eyes on it. Would she have the guts to actually kill it? She would have to! If she wanted to be able to provided for her own family some day, she'd have to kill this rabbit.
Tsu watched Lila. She was proud of the cub even if she wasn't able to catch the rabbit. She was growing so fast. It was hard to believe that shortly Lila will begin the next stage of her life.
