History:Jamie was born thirty-two years ago to Margaret and Ian Fraser in what was once known as Scotland. He had a fairly uneventful childhood most of which was spent roughhousing with his two older brothers and studying. His younger years were in general a time of self discovery and development for Jamie, when he observed the world and began to form his own opinions on what was and what he thought should be. To most he was just another sometimes too smart for his own good boy with no particularly unique talents.
Higher education was achieved through the FASVR ( aka full anatomical sensory virtual reality) program. When wearing a specially assigned second skin a virtual version of Jamie was transported directly into unique online classrooms. Due to the fit of the second skin he could accurately grip and adjust a pencil to write with, pick up virtual lab materials and actually feel, solidity, temperature and texture etc as certain impulses were transmitted to his brain and body.
Through this program Jamie met his future wife Catherine and while he doesn't talk about it much he will jokingly admit to taking advantage of the full sensory opportunities offered by the second skin.
Jamie dodged any possible wartime drafting by failing the psychological entrance exam although even he isn't sure how much of that was purposeful and how much he really didn't have a head or heart for war.
Free to pursue his studies and Catherine, Jamie did just that; eventually becoming a teacher and marrying his once only virtual sweetheart. When the most recent war ended Jamie was forced to take a brief course in which it was outlined precisely what he may and may not teach about the war and how to handle questions and dissenters.
Despite his and Catherine's sizable wealth Jamie's job left him at the government's whim on where he worked and he soon found himself assigned to the school in Saltaire. He has been there a little over six years now and it doesn't look like he's about to be reassigned any time soon.
Personality: One of the first things readily evident about Jamie is that he is a proud man. He views his profession as one severely under appreciated, any simpleton can be taught to handle a weapon and sent off to fight, especially with the weapons of the day. It takes an educated man or woman to come up with battle tactics, to organize backup strategies on the fly and to negotiate peace later. He also believes a flesh and blood teacher is irreplaceable, that the human connection when it comes to learning is of utmost importance and improves a student's comprehension. ( For example while he used the FASVR program to attend an online campus and have access to full learning opportunities, he was still taught by a real teacher also using the program. Jamie as a young child did learn some things via educational droids and in his experience does not favour them to real teachers)
Jamie believes in hard work and that if one puts their mind to it they can, within reasonable limits, accomplish anything. He doesn't half-a** anything and tends to think less of those who don't put a full effort forth regardless of the task or goal.
For all that he is stern and disciplined Jamie is not a hard man. He has compassion for others but tends to show it by trying to push them forward and encouraging them to believe they can overcome their problems. A gentle reassuring squeeze on a shoulder for a particularly favored student is not totally out of the question but is still rare.
It is Molly who gets the majority of his praise and leniency for Jamie sees in her himself at a much younger age. Still, he makes sure to guide her well and to never let her give up on things he knows she is capable of.

Description:Jamie is best described as tall and stocky. He is just a fraction under six feet tall with a broad shouldered frame. While he is healthy and mildly in shape Jamie is not mostly toned muscle and does carry some extra weight. He has fair skin with light smattering of freckles, short auburn hair and light blue eyes.
