The red brick house looks regular enough on the outside but once you walk inside you can definitely tell two different people live here. Almost every room in the house has a mix of calm and violent auras. There are several plants in the walkway that look nice and well tended to. Above these plants are spear weapons some with blood still on them! And that's only the entrance way...
The only room with a single theme is Raymond's, which is filled with drawings of various nature and city scenes that he has seen on the walls. There are also video games and wooden staffs lying around as well.

Raymond Dunham
Ray walked in the front door and into the kitchen. He picked up a snack of an orange and a small pack of peanuts from out of the cupboard when he noticed a note on the kitchen counter. 'Wonder what this is.' It had his name on it and he opened it up. It was written in Carl's handwriting and it said, Try to find a partner today alright? Mira told me to add that you can't come home until you do.(If you can't find one come on home anyway and we'll find you one) Try the coffee shop or maybe the park yeah?
-Carl Ray sighed and dumped the note in the trash. He grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge and walked out the front door, heading for the coffee shop.

Carl brought Ray some water from the kitchen when they got home. They sat down at the dining table. Ray was feeling better and noticed Mira was gone. "Where did Mira go? Wasn't she behind us?"
Carl smiled. "She's bringing your partner in. It's her niece so I suggest you be nice to her. Your lucky though. Where as Mira is a little....violent, he sister is the opposite and her daughter inherited that so she's the perfect match for you, wavelength wise." He looked toward the front door. "She's about your age too so be nice. Maybe she'll like you." He winked at Ray as if to say 'you lucky dog'.
Ray cocked his head in confusion. He didn't really get Carl's signal as most of the women he knew were crazy people who wanted to beat him to a pulp. He turned toward the door. Here she comes.

Mira came up to the door and held it open for her niece. Miranda walked into the house. Unlike her aunt, she wore a skirt with flowers on it and an orange shirt. She had black hair and a strange dark blue hue in her eyes, like you were staring into a really dark dusk. She looked around and asked Mira quietly. "Where can I put my stuff down?"
Mira smiled warmly at her niece and pointed upstairs at the door next to Ray's. As she went up the steps to her room Mira joined the men in the dining room. She looked at Ray and asked slyly."So what do you think of my niece, Ray? Pretty isn't she?"Her eyes flashed at him in a way that said, if you say anything out of line or inappropriate then I will hurt you later.
Ray watched as she came in and listened as she went up the stairs. In response to Mira he simply replied."She looks nice..." He really didn't have much to say. He was just wondering on what she could turn into. "I'll go talk to her." He looked cautiously at Mira. "Is that ok?"
Mira nodded in understanding motioned with her hand. As Ray climbed the stairs to her room, Carl nudged Mira and winked. That earned him a nice smack in the face.

Ray walked up towards his room and passed it by heading toward the second room. It had originally been unused before except as a dump room, filled with old books and magazines collecting dust. Carl had cleared it out a couple days ago after a lot of arguing from Mira. He had helped Carl a little but he didn't think that a girl would be moving in with them. He was about to open the door but Mira's warning earlier made him think twice. He knocked first.
Miranda had set her suitcase on the bed in the room and had been contemplating where to put her stuff when she heard a knock.Miranda looked over at the door and asked quietly but loud enough to be heard."Who is it?"
Ray barely heard the small voice and answered back smartly. "It's Ray Dunham. Can I come in?" Inside his mind, a slight beam of light seemed to fall on him. At least she isn't like her aunt.
Miranda opened the door and peeked out seeing the taller boy look at her. She opened the door fully and turned and sat down on her bed."Come on in."
Ray smiled at her. He didn't really mean it but he wanted to make sure to be nice. He didn't want to incite Mira's wrath. "I was told that your to be my partner so two things. One, what's your name and what can you become?"
Miranda looked at him with some curiosity. She looked down and muttered her words."My name is Miranda Sanchez. I can become several types of spears and a katana. Is that ok?" She looked up at the last sentence.
Ray smiled wider, this time he meant it. "You're perfect! And uh...nice to meet you." He turned and left her room. He needed to take a shower. Dinner would be on soon.

Miranda finished her unpacking and Ray took a shower. After he dressed he walked out of the bathroom and headed downstairs for dinner. Miranda came down to join them a little after. They had spagetti and meatballs, made by Carl as Mira couldn't cook to save her life. The dinner was pretty quiet as Ray and Miranda didn't talk and Mira and Carl stayed silent so they could converse. They never spoke a word to each other. Miranda looked at Ray a couple of times as if to start a conversation but turned red and continued to eat. Ray didn't pay any attention to her at all.
After dinner was over Ray returned to his room and immediately went to sleep. Miranda tried to talk to him again but couldn't as he walked right by her and slammed his door shut.
Miranda went to her own room and fell asleep rather fast, but disappointed. She thought her partner would welcome her but he really didn't seem to care about her at all.Mira had told her he was a little cold but she hadn't expected him to be this bad. She slept well that night despite these thoughts rolling in her head.

The next morning, Carl and Mira left early to the park. They had a mission to brief anyone, who was willing to try to it or foolish enough to.
Ray woke the later after they had left, dressed himself, and went to the backyard. He had various workout equipment there and set to work training.
Miranda woke up to the sound in the backyard. She saw Ray working out and wanted to join him so she dressed herself and ran downstairs grabbing two waters and going out the back to join him.

Ray was surprised to see Miranda come to join him. He wasn't used to being followed like this so he accepted her company without complaint or comment. She followed him around the yard, doing pull-ups, sit-ups, and push-ups. His shirt began to stick to him with sweat as he lifted some weights. Miranda spotted for him and gave him some encouraging words along the way too. Ray liked that. He finished his set and sat up and turned to her. "Thanks for that."
Miranda looked at him in confusion. "For what?"
He smiled at her like he did last night. "For the words of encouragement. I never get those from Mira or Carl." He looked at himself and raised his arm and sniffed. "I stink. You want to shower and then see if there are any missions up? We should probably train that way." He was being friendly to someone and it felt...good to him.
Miranda looked at him strangely."Yes, I'd like a shower. And I'd like to go with you to that coffee shop I saw on my way here. Is that good place for breakfast...partner?"She added the last word hesitantly.
He got up and He held out his hand."Partners."
She took his hand and shook it. "Great, I'm glad."
He grinned and let go of her hand. He ran inside the back door calling back."Cool I'm gonna have the shower first, then." He ran upstairs and into the bathroom.
She shook her head and walked inside after him. Steam was already coming from under the bathroom door so she went to her own room to grab her things for her shower.

Ray walked out of the bathroom, feeling refreshed. He had favorite towel around his waist, it had green leaves all over it and it stretched all the way to the floor. He liked it because it was so long, had a design he liked, and he could wrap himself in it to get dry. He noticed Miranda standing there, holding her clothes in one hand and her soaps in the other. Ray felt his face redden and he walked past her to his room, keeping his head down.
Miranda waited until he had passed into his room before walking into the bathroom. She had no idea he had such a muscular looking chest but what was most intersting was that she had seen a large scar on his left ribs. It was long, stretching from almost his shoulder to the bottom of his ribcage. How had he received such a wound? She'd ask later. She finished her shower and dressed inside so as to not encounter him in the hall in just a towel. She dressed in a little more battle ready outfit today, an red shirt with a sort of blue vest/jacket . She put on some brown pants too.She walked out and knocked on his door when she was ready.
He opened the door. He was wearing a long sleeve shirt with a strange pattern with what looked like shadows on it with black jeans. He smiled and motioned with his hand toward the front door. She nodded and they set out from the house to Deathbucks.

Ray and Miranda arrived home later in the day around lunch time. Ray headed to the kitchen to make himself a sandwich. Miranda followed and asked for one too. Ray was about to complain (like he normally did when Carl wanted one too) but made one for her without comment. They sat down to eat, waiting for Carl and Mira to get home. It was training time and they were late.

Carl and Mira walked into the house and toward the kitchen. Ray and Miranda were sitting there waiting. They had finished lunch a half hour earlier and Ray was getting rather impatient.
"What the hell were you guys to sign us up for a mission like that? And why did you keep us waiting like that?"
Miranda came up and grabbed his shoulder timidly. She didn't know that Ray was just impatient and acted like this all the time.
"Settle down Ray! I'm sure they have a good reason."
"Damn straight we had a reason! Carl show 'em what they went to fetch for us."
Carl tossed the scroll up and opened it up. Inside was a bunch of old movie posters. They looked really rustic and dusty like they were liable to fall off at any time. He looked at the two kids and smiled.
Ray lifted his finger slowly and slowly spoke, his voice rising as he went.
We went to that cemetery for your movie poster collection?!?!
Even Miranda had no answer for that. She stayed quiet.
Carl held up his hands and Mira stood in front of him yelling at a higher volume than Ray.
"Shut up you pathetic worm! You were wounded in that fight! That's unacceptable for my pupil!
Ray and Mira continued to argue and yell as Carl and Miranda walked outside to the back.
"They'll be out soon. Ray wants to train so he will give up real soon."

Ray and Miranda came out of the house five minutes later, both with sour looks on their faces. Ray looked up at Carl.
"You said you'd teach me more on the soul wavelengths and how to channel it better today. Let's do that first."
Carl nodded and brought him over to one side of the yard while Mira took Miranda to the other side. They began to practice partial transformations and other moves as well as transforming faster.
Carl and Ray began to train as well. Carl had been teaching Ray a form of martial arts, but Ray never really took it seriously. Today he seemed to really work harder on it. He still wasn't that good but Carl did admit he was getting better. When Ray asked to learn the soul wavelength skill, Carl did show him the basic technique and Ray tried it. He couldn't do it at all. He did learn however how to sense souls. He still needed a lot of improvement but he could sense souls in a 15 ft radius.
"You need to get better boy!" Miranda yelled at him.
They went inside, had dinner, and went to sleep.

Ray woke up the next morning and immediately went to the shower. He was tired from last night and needed a nice hot shower. He walked inside the bathroom and stripped down. He jumped into the shower and promptly fell over. There was soap all over the shower like a little kid had too much fun with the soap. "What the...?"
Miranda woke up to the sound of the thump from the bathroom. She ran to the bathroom and knocked on the door. No one answered so she tried the door. It was unlocked so she peeked in.
Ray heard the door open and turned to see Miranda's face peek in. He immediately grabbed the towel and whipped it around himself. "What's your problem? Can't wait for the shower?", he yelled and threw the bar of soap at her face.
Miranda heard him yell and was hit with the soap. She fell to the ground stunned. The door fell wide open, showing her in her pajamas, a nice blue color.
Ray face palmed and walked over to help her up. He sighed and helped her up. "Sorry about that. I usually think that it's Mira trying to come in."
Miranda's face had lit up bright red as he helped her up. She had noticed someone else who was watching. Two someones.
Carl and Mira stood there at the door looking at the pair, one in her pajamas(that didn't leave much to the imagination) and the other in a towel and slightly wet."Well.....we're off to Shibusen. Be sure to get to school on time." They walked down the stairs and out the door,Mira looking as thought she had made the biggest mistake of her life and Carl smiling as though he had beaten the world with one fatal blow, leaving the other two standing there both red in the face.

Ray and Miranda had a pretty normal day after that. There was an awkward silence between the two as Miranda left the bathroom and Ray got back in the shower. Miranda stayed in her room until Ray knocked on her door and told her the shower was free. She didn't answer so he shrugged, went to his room got dressed, and headed downstairs. He heard the shower going as he passed the bathroom so he figured she was in there. He went downstairs to prepare some breakfast.
Miranda finished her shower, tied her hair up, and headed downstairs. She walked into the kitchen where Ray was making some eggs and toast for sandwiches. He plunked one sandwich down on the table for her without a word and went back to the table. She didn't say a word until she had finished eating. She looked over at him in the kitchen. He was eating over the sink and cleaning dishes at the same time, taking bites every time he dried something and put it away. The sun was shining in from the window and gleamed off of his hair.
Ray looked over at her as she stared at him."What?" He spoke through his sandwich. She had gone red in the face. He shrugged and finished putting the dishes away. He turned to her and grabbed his water bottle and clipped it to his belt. "Ready for school?"
"Y-yeah. Let's go." Miranda was still pink in the face as she and Ray walked toward Shibusen.

Ray and Mira arrived home. They were both pretty tired so they went to bed relatively early.
The next morning they made sure not to repeat yesterday's embarrassment. Ray let Miranda know that he was going to take a shower so she stayed in her room and she read a book until he knocked again letting her know he was done. He then went downstairs to make breakfast while she took a shower. This worked and Ray had a nice plate of eggs, bacon, and potatoes ready when Miranda came down, brushing her hair. She continued to brush it until she was satisfied with it. Ray wolfed down his food(which was about twice the helping he had given Mira)in the meantime. After breakfast they went to the backyard to train, lift some weights, and stretch. They discussed the new pair in class, Antony and Ame. Ray really didn't care about them but Miranda convinced him he needed to be more considerate of them next time. He grumbled about this for a while but agreed in the end. Personally he hadn't like how they had judged both of them before really meeting them. He hated that. They finished morning training and headed up toward the school.
