I was just wondering if anyone knows what the minimum age requirments , if any , there are for joing the Academy? actually any info at all on the subject of getting into SFA would be helpfull.

You do know there is no such thing as Starfleet Academy, right?

It appears that there is no official age for joining the Starfleet Academy, for most characters it has been assumed at age 18. A few were admitted earlier, Riker is the youngest being only 15. The main requirement is the entrance test. The academy is a four institution in the next generation saga though it was stated in passing that it was a five year institution in Tos. haven't clicked on the links however i'd wager that there is an enterance exam similar as the US Military's ASVAB. with possible leanency depending on how much PR the federation/starfleet can get from having someone of your race signed up. i think there was a TNG episode where someone was saying something to this effect. wanna say it was a bajoran but i could be mistaken on that.

Supposedly it's like a 4 year special space/military college. Go to Lotus Fleet and they have a MASSIVE Academy there, non-RP. I'm going through it now. OMG, it is so difficult. D;
