If you look very closely in the corners of the stationary used in the back of The Grim Grotto, you can see the VFD eye. Therefore D. must be working for the Volunteer Fire Department.

Well, Denouncement is a building so I have no idea who you are talking about but there is no person named that in the series just the hotel. Plus, instead of making a repeat thread this should have just gone in the "Members of VFD" Thread which was sort of a repeat off of the autobiography guide thread but still.

Hmm... I never paid close attention to the note at the end of GG... I was in too much of a hurry to get the book back to the library! There was a ten person waiting list on it! stare I don't think anyone will have it out now. I'll check that our tomorrow.
But yeah, I do believe that Denoumont was the last safe place, so your claims are a tad redundant. xp It's still interesting!

It's Denouement not Denouncement. The two words are quite different things. And she didn't refer to Denouement as a person. A hotel CAN work for someone you know. She just used D. as an abbreviation. And obviously, IT IS THE LAST SAFE PLACE. And this is not a repeat thread, but it's quite obvious.

denoumont is just about the worst pun ever. It's french for the climax or most important part of a novel
