• [ r u l e s & G U I D E L I N E S ] • Read the following post for information on the rules of starting a battle.
o1. PRP's are no longer required as a prerequisite for your battles. However, please make your battle roleplays decent in length and in content.
o2. The battle MUST be roleplayed out! Each person must post AT LEAST five times for the battle to be official, if not and you finish, than it cannot count towards your growth ladder. Solo battles must be 1500-2000 words long and posted in your journal. You must still post it for approval in the completed battles thread.
o3. Battles do not have to be approved beforehand. You still must have a valid reason for fighting. i.e. Don't battle just because your characters 'felt like it.' You should have a good, solid reason behind it. Please randomize a number between 1-3 to determine battle results. 1 = Legion win, 2 = draw, 3 = Noble win.
o4. You are now required to roll dice to determine solo battle wins. Please roll with your journal entry. Under rare circumstances (i.e. plot device, personal growth), staff may grant the player a pre-determined battle result.
o5. Make SURE to tell us when your battle is complete! Posting in the Complete Battle thread will let us know it is complete and we will lock the thread.
o6. Training DOES NOT COUNT as an official battle! Self-Explanatory, training is a regular roleplay and cannot count as a battle.
o7. You MAY battle against someone from the same side! Battles are now allowed between Legion/Legion and Noble/Noble, BUT there are several things you MUST remember about this! It should NOT happen all the time, buteven if you're on the same alliance there's always that one individual that manages to push all your buttons. Same alliance battles should only occur if there is true intent to harm. They should not be just a spur of the moment whim, and should be very rare occurrences.
o8. Inter-stage battling is allowed (student vs. fighter, fighter vs. captain, etc.) The upper stage auto win rule is still in effect. This only means that if you are two or more stages higher than your opponent, then you are an automatic win UNLESS you are an Academy student. Academy students do not have good use over their weapons just yet, and should not be physically adept against someone higher than them. However, a Fighter can fight against a Captain in a fair fight and still win.
o9. Cheating is not tolerated! You can roleplay however you want however to not god-mod, if you do, the thread will be locked and you will be warned.
1o. Do not bumrush your battles Battles will now have a minimum word count of 300-400 words per post (or 1500+ words total per person). Try to put some substance into your battles. Additionally, solo battles can amount to no more than half of your character's requirements for growth, per stage.
11. In the case of a battle being left unfinished because one of the characters/roleplayers have A.) Left the shop, or B.) Been inactive for a period of three months or more, the battle will be closed off and will only count towards the active person's growth requirements.

• [ H O W I T w o r k s ] • This post describes the process of battling and how to get one started! This post is described in steps, so if you need to refresh yourself just find the area you need.
• • • Step One: Learning About Battles Battles in Legend of Lunaria are more than Lunaria conflicts or skirmishes. They are actual battles in which actual Lunarians do fight. Battles in the Sunken Front forum are not training, they are encounters between enemies, and opposing sides. Sometimes against another Lunarian, maybe even against an NPC.
The battle system is explained in more detail in future Steps. • • • Step Two: "Are you prepared?" Knowing whether you are prepared for a battle is simple, do you have the mindset to do it? Or more or less, is your Lunarian ready? They do not have to expect the battle by any means but you cannot roleplay with an unarmed Lunarian and expect to win (in reality you wouldn't, but in our system you can). Make it realistic and be prepared when applying for a battle. • • • Step Three: Create a Thread Create a thread in which to role play your battle. You may use previous completed battles' formats as examples for your thread. • • • Step Four (a): Battling: Winning? Losing? Winning or Losing the battle is determined by the the Random Number Generator when it starts your thread. Do not delete RNG posts. We will be checking!
A Random Number Generator is used to generate a number (1 - 3)
The following chart is used to determine who wins the battle. If you are fighting against someone of the same side, come to an agreement beforehand which results correspond with which numbers.
1 = Legion win 2 = draw 3 = Noble win. • • • Step Four (b): Battling: Roleplay You must roleplay out your battle, there are no exceptions. Each person must make a minimum of five posts in order for the roleplay to be official. Please follow all official roleplay rules. Your posts have to be at least a paragraph.
Hints: -Explain why you are in the battle, why do you hate/dislike this Lunarian. -Try to describe what is happening around you -Remember: Battles do not happen during the day / or / in town (if daytime) -Be descriptive • • • Step Five: Finalizing the Battle Post the form here with no changes and your battle will be looked over and locked. • • • Step Six: Scorecards If you are lost on your battle record, please check the scorecards. Link below.
