This Role Play is finished (as in "completed"). No need making a profile for this one, but feel free to read through it. Quite the interesting plot and story went on. surprised

Plot:

Legend has it that four stones fell from the moon and landed on the earth. Each stone housed a different power, strength, speed, wisdom, and power to heal any illness or wound. Bloody battles erupted over the four stones, for it was said that putting the stones together would create a stone that would grant absolutely any wish that one desired. Two men whose names have been forgotten came and took the four stones. Together, they each created two kingdoms that lay opposite of one another. Each man took two stones, and swore that their families would work together and keep the stones apart and safe.

Thousands of years have passed since the two men's oath had been made. Each family has kept to their purpose, protecting the stones which they hold and giving the other kingdom aid when the other was in trouble. One kingdom laid in the north-east, the other in the west.

Ten years ago, a new king for the west was crowned. Spoiled as a child, he was filled with greed and a lust for power. He demanded that the other two stones which he did not have be brought to him. When the other kingdom refused, he sent assassins to kill the entire royal family and to steal the stones. The stones were saved, however, every family member save for one six-year-old girl who was the niece of the murdered king. She was taken away into safety immediately after a war was sparked between the two lands. The eighteen members of the Council ruled over the kingdom for the next ten years that passed. At the age of sixteen the niece was brought back and married to a man who was a little more than twice her age. The two were crowned and took up the thrones. The war has still been raging on through the past two months, an unknown imbalance within the castle walls.

Gaian Username: Isarde

Character Name: Nari

Age: 30

Race: Human

Status Within the Empire: Hostile Assassin, mercenary

Weapon(s): A short sword, two daggers, a bow and quiver of arrows with owl fletching.

Power(s): Very limited telepathy, which can only be used to pick up weather or not a person, is there, only within fifteen feet of Nari. Can be used for mind to mind, but he has to be touching the person. A sound dampening field around him and anyone near him; it dampens all sound coming from it, and is a five by five by seven cubic shape.

Appearance: Standing at a rather unimpressive build of five foot four inches, Nari is the perfect size for an assassin. He keeps himself thin and lithe and weights about a hundred thirty pounds. His ice blue eyes are dull to the world; he had seen the worst of it and did not believe in any of its "virtues". He keeps his dark brown hair short and close to his head, only a stripe of longer hair is running from forehead to neck. He is most commonly seen wearing a dark grey cloak going down to his mid shin. His black, soft bottomed boots come up to his knees. Inside the boots is a pair of daggers. Stuffed into the boots are his black pants, layered of several materials. At his belt, he wears his fighting daggers and lots of pouches. Inside these pouches is everything from light weight, strong rope and grappling hook, to poisons and antidotes, to a deck of cards, to black camouflage. His tightly wrapped black tunic is made of several layers of material, like his pants. On his tunic is a hood that goes over his face, and under the cloak. He has a piece of cloth on his tunic that comes up to cover his mouth and nose, with holes to breathe out of his noise.

History: Nari had a rather simple childhood. At least, it was that way until his teen years. Once he reached puberty, he started to gain his powers. Full blown Telepathy and his sound dampening field were forced upon him. He also could turn invisible, but that was suppressed along with his telepathy. The house next to his was the scene for several unpleasant murders, and he got every thought from the building. By the time he was old enough to work, he sought his own master rather then that of his fathers choice. He came across an old man, who drank himself into a stupor every day. But, that old man was an ex-assassin, and was able to keep himself sober to train Nari. The man died shortly after Nari completed his training, unable to keep way from the drink. Nair sold his skills to the highest bidder, often taking low pay jobs just to get a reputation and survive. He managed to score a pretty easy job, but it turned sour as he fought with a counter assassin. She had almost managed to stop him, but he got away. He doesnt talk about it much, considering it a failure to have been spotted. He always wondered where the strange shape shifting woman had come from, and years latter, he met her again. The two of them were both hired to take out a merchant in the far away land of Ehsar. They were paid in full before hand, so once the mission was completed, they decided to stay. Years latter, the king of Ehsar learned about the pair, since they lived and worked together (though it is rumored back in Ehsar they are more then just friends, some say, lovers.) He hired them with a huge amount of money to do what others had not.

Gaian Username: Isarde

Character Name: Myste

Age: 29

Race: Human

Status Within the Empire: Hostile Spy, mercenary

Weapon(s): A short sword, know as a gladiolus, this weapon is made for stabbing; a dagger; and any natural weapons.

Power(s): Shape shifting, though when she changes form, she still has her weight. So, that means she cant transform into a bird and fly away, though she can transform into a fly, for example. Or a pin.

Appearance: Shape changer. Expect it to change often.

History: Myste grew up as a poor child in an abusive household. Her father was an alcoholic, and her mother was never around. She learned how to survive on the streets, hanging around with a group of kids from similar situations. They lived together, as a gang, and stole, begged, and beat for food. They lived where ever, and how ever. Myste discovered her power by mistake, when she needed to get thinner to fit through some bars. She kept practicing, and found out she could transform into an animal. Well, one time she was caught, and thrown into jail. Or, she would have been, had she not been caught by a fellow shape changer. He gave her two options, live with him and learn how to become more skilled, and clean his house and such, or go to jail, get the index fingers on both hands cut off. She chose to work for him instead. After several years, basically her entire teen years, and then because a professional anti assassin. Her ability to shape change gave her huge advantage to catching unwanted guests. And, killing them. It also allowed her to become a target, shifting to look like the assassins target. The only problem with that is the Mirror Image Effect. If she shifts to someone else, she looks like a mirror image of that person. A few years into her job as an anti assassin, she encountered a skilled assassin. The man managed to get away, and kill his target, a rich merchant. A few years later, she was hired, along with Nari to go after a rich merchant. What a surprise they had. The merchant lived in Ehsar, and together, after they killed the man, they decided to stay. They had settled, and then, later, they were hired to kill the king, and queen of Trusar.

'Murder... rape and abuse....'

A soft tapping could be heard in the hall as the queen of Trusar slowly made her way down the levels. An emotionless face was placed on her, just as there always was. Her light sapphire eyes seemed to be made of stone and ice, not looking at anything besides what was in front of her. A group of gaurds followed her and also as she went out the doors of the castle. From there she stopped, absently looking for where her carraige was. A few seconds later it arrived, but before she stepped in Takara turned her head and looked at the men behind her.

"Bring Tamuril to me. Tell him that I order his appearance inside of my carraige. If he is not here within ten minutes I shall leave." With her words finished all in monotone she stepped up into the open door and sat down. Before the door was shut a servant set her small harp on the seat next to her. He left just as soon as he had come in.

Takara's frozen eyes went down as she looked at her dark blue dress. It had a dragon that swirled around the entire dress cleverly sewn into it with a few pearls sewn in as well. Her aunt's necklace hung around her throat, other pieces of jewelery that had been her's now worn by the current queen. Her raven hair flowed loosely and glided over her shoulders like black ocean waves.

Takara reached over and grabbed a book, opening it and beginning to read it as she patiently waited for Tamuril to come. Ten minutes passed. She would give him another five minutes to come and then she would tell the driver to leave. Once they started moving she would begin playing her harp. Hopefully if her people heard the sound it would help calm them down and go more at ease. Ever since she had been married to that sloth things had been going down-hill. Takara briefly glanced over at the small plate of bread that sat across from her. It wasn't much food but she would give it to those who needed it the most. It was the most she could do with her husband choking what power she should have.

"...Where is that Tamuril...?" Takara whispered to herself as she turned another page from her book. The extra five minutes had just passed. He was already late and making it worse. She wondered if the reason he was late was because he disliked serving a girl who was just sixteen. That probably wasn't it. He didn't seem like someone who would do such a thing over something like that. Of course she never spoke to him so how would she know?

Tamuril was in the training room of the castle, giving some pointersto a few of the amateur guards. He didn't mind training them, it was kind of interesting that he'd been training his whole life now he was training others. They were using wooden longswords to battle eachother, well more like battling Tamuril. Each one would step up and attack him, while he blocked there attack with ease and gave pointers on what to do.

Tamuril was still training the guards when a guard ran up to the door, a slight sigh of relief coming to his face. He was huffing and puffing for air, but finally got out "I finally found you. Queen Takara wishes for your presence in her carriage." Tamuril looked a little surprised, but finally straightened his posture and dismissed the guard. He went and picked up his long sword and headed out, looking back at the guards he was training. "You guys did good, keep it up."

Tamuril was running through the halls to get to the carriage. He thought that Kings and Queens didn't like to wait, so he had best get there as fast as he could. When Tamuril did finally arrive, the carriage was covered with drapes on each side. He was wondering what to do, and why she requested his presence.

Tamuril walked up to one of the drapes, and stood before it. "I have arrived, my queen, what is it you would like of me?" Tamuril saluted to her, staying outside of the carriage. He wasn't sure if he should goin or not, and decided to stay out.

"Get in. The message was for you to come and meet me inside of the carraige." Takara told Tamuril, turning a page again as she sat there. She finished the very last bit of the chapter before she shut her book and set it down beside her. "You're late." She added flatly, grabbing her harp and setting it on her lap. It would be difficult to play in a moving carraige so she would have to be careful of how she balanced it. She didn't say anything about a punishment and only kept her eyes focused on the harp.

Takara lifted a hand up, gently plucking a string and listening to the note that came from it. She reached up and pushed back a hair that had gotten out of place. She wondered if Tamuril was one of those who gossiped about her behind her back. She wondered many things about him, and each question she never actually put too much thought upon.

Tamuril looked a little shocked, at least she wouldn't be able to tell that. He walked into the carriage sitting across from her. His longsword felt awkward in the sheath on his back, so he placed it next to him. He was wondering why she wanted to talk to him.

"Haha, sorry I was late." He chuckled lightly, thinking he shouldn't have had some water before he left the training room. She didn't have to know that though, Tamuril thought, chuckling again a little.

He looked up as she began to play her harp, the one note sounding soft and calming. "So, why did ya want me in here?" Tamuril stopped talking, remembering that she was of royalty, and that he should speak properly to her. He shouldn't have asked the question, but that was in the past he thought, nothing he could do.

Before answering Tamuril Takara waited until the horses started moving, pulling the carraige and the two who were inside of it. She plucked more strings, carefully tuning the harp, the only other sound the horses' hooves. Once that was finished she started playing, a song that no one else beside herself would know. It used to be her mother's favorite song, and her aunt's. It was a slow and peaceful song, very simple to play. Her grandfather had wrote it for his daughters.

"'Silver Moon's Breath.'" Takara told Tamuril in monotone, telling him the name of the song. "A song made of delicate sound. Many people find the tune enchanting. Of course you have no interest in a harp song, do you? I wouldn't think so.... I know that you are very well-aware that there is trouble brewing within the 'upper levels.'"

Even as she spoke she continued playing, the sound drifting out from the open windows and into the streets. Would this really calm her people? She prayed so. Of course, she didn't pray, she wasn't religious.

"Your mother was insane, wasn't she? Claiming that you were royal blood. And the rest of your family as well if I'm correct. If it's true it's most likely from a love affair and the creation of a b*****d child." Takara's words were suddenly sharp and jagged, the opposite of the song that she was playing. "Regardless. Your blood won't mean damn a thing unless there is proof." Her eyes flickered over to him, her fingers still moving as she switched to another sweet song. She wanted to see how well he could handle the way she was acting. Even if her words didn't seem like much the tone of her voice was like that of a vile serpant's. "That would make you a b*****d child too, wouldn't it? That's absolutely revolting. You make me sick."

'Show me how well you handle your temper, Tamuril.'

Tamuril thought back to when he was a kid, when a group of kids said nearly the same thing over and over again. She isn't insane... He looked down at the ground. He could have easily killed her right there, and probably could have easily escaped to. Instead he kept looking back at the ground. "...I guess I am a b*****d...not because of my relatives though..." His voice was low. Though, he made sure she would hear it. And this is our queen, how nice...
