To be entered in the raffle you must post something sabbat related in THIS thread. It can be a Imbolc/Lammas ritual, spell, craft, recipe...The list goes on! So post away. Though you can only be entered into the raffle once. Also, if you are posting a recipe, please post it in the recipe thread also! We thought it'd be nice to have a list of yummy goodies to cook for Imbolc/Lammas biggrin You can find the Party in the Moonlight Market. Just look for all of the threads titled [Party]. We hope you enjoy yourself and have an awesome Imbolc/Lammas 2010! KoudelkaW has still not learnt how to make circular badges. She apologises for the lack of badge again for this Sabbat, and here is a picture of an orange as consolation, because oranges are always around (round xd Geddit?!)

Ritual Basics I found this on a sight selling simple spell bags. I like the herb and color combination, but I don't think I would ever really buy them. I plan on making my ritual as I go. Acknowledging the sabot and communing with the higher forces. img: http://magickal-gifts.com/images/artwork/spellkits_imbolc.jpgRitual Kit for Imbolc, Resolutions, Rebirth, Inspiration, Protection and Guidance. Includes a white and a pink candle, 2 mini candle holders, basil herb pouch, a charcoal brick, camphor essential oil, Bride of Imbolc inspirational card, and instructions, all packaged in a white organza pouch. sight: http://magickal-gifts.com/spellkits.html

Happy Imbolc to those in my hemisphere and Happy Lammas to the other side. biggrin
Not really sure how much I can celebrate but I put a candle in my window to keep lit most of the night since I stay up late anyway. Though I'll probably blow it out before I go to sleep. Last year I tried to do it all night and I just wasn't comfortable. Other than that I don't have much planned, mainly because I don't have the baking supplies to make anything nor am I alone much in my house. Maybe just relax and enjoy the scenery...even though my area is covered in snow. sweatdrop
Hope everyone has an awesome holiday!
Also, here's a little something I thought was cute. smile
Maiden's Chant
Awake sleeping Maiden, Thy consort is close, He comes through the woods for thee. I light your candles and pierce the darkness Your re-union for all to see.
Imbolc Prayer
We've made it to the mid-point of the Winter dark and bleak. From this day on the Sun will climb and thaw the ground and creeks. Bless us now, oh Maiden fair, and keep us in your loving care. Showing signs of new life everywhere as you awaken from your sleep.

Mine is from the 2010 Witches' Spell-A-Day Almanac, with this particular spell written by Ellen Dugan. Ellen Dugan If you have a fire pit, build the fire and cast the spell while gazing into the flames. If you need to remain inside, a cluster of white or red candles in various shapes and sizes will work out beautifully. Wait until dark if you are outside, or turn off all the lights if you are inside. Then light a wooden match and see how much light that one little flame actually creates. Now light the fire of your arrangements of cangles and take a few moments to ground and center yourself. Once your fire is burning nicely or the candle have all been lit and are merrily flickering away, begin the spell I banish the darkness, on this Imbolc night,
In its place I create both warmth and light.
May the goddess Brigid hear my heartfelt call,
Bless my home and all who live here, one and all.
Now I close this verse, bringing harm to none,
By fire's bright magic, this spell is done I also wanted to put a recipe for pentagram cookies in here, but I don't know where it is... Oh well. Happt Imbloc, everyone, and blessed be!

My Imbolg was quite nice. I had a beautiful ritual with my coven. We wrote visualized our negative thoughts on pieces of paper, then burned them in the fire. We then talked about what we wanted in the coming year and helped plant "seeds" of thoughts for what we wanted to accomplish. After ritual, we had a good talk about our paths and what had brought us together as a group. All in all, in a productive evening and I can't wait until the 19th when we have our New Moon ritual for the month.

Added these activities to the imbolc/lammas activities page...
Imbolc Activities
Brigid's Cross
Materials: a handful of long wheat stalks clothespins thread and needle
Directions: 1. Soak wheat stalks in warm water for about half an hour until they're pliable. 2. Fold one stalk of wheat in half, leaving the kernels sticking out. 3. Fold another one the same way and thread through the first one. (It now looks like a long "L".) 4. Fold the third the same way and insert through the second wheat stalk. (It now looks like an L with a tail.) 5. Fold and insert the fourth stalk through the third. 6. Use the clothespins to help keep the shape as you weave more wheat. 7. Continue folding and threading the wheat stalks until you have several stalks of wheat woven through each "arm". 8. Allow it to dry with the clothespins in place. 9. Using the thread and needle, sew the stalks together.
Kid Friendlier Version of a Brigid's Cross
Materials: pipe cleaners string or yarn
Directions: 1. Make a bundle with 6 pipe cleaners and bend them in half. Tie the ends all together with a piece of string. 2. Lay the pipe cleaner bundle on the table in a vertical position, with the tied end on the top. 3. Make a second bundle, again using 6 pipe cleaners, and bend them in half. 4. Before you tie the ends this time though, slip it through the middle of the other bundle so that they're linked. 5. Now tie the ends and lay this second bundle down in a horizontal position with the tied ends pointing to the right. If you did it right your shape should look like the letter "L". 6. Now you're going to repeat the procedure. Make a bundle with 6 pipe cleaners, bend them in half and, before you tie them, slip them through the middle of the horizontal bundle, just to the right of the first bundle. This batch should be in a vertical position, with the tied ends on the bottom. 7. The last step is to make one last bundle, slipping it through the middle of the batch you just laid down, only this one goes horizontally to the left. Now tie the ends. You should now have an upside down "L" linked through your right side up one.
Candle Wheel
Materials: craft wreath eight white candles ivy leaves or vines glue gun
1. Either drill thick holes into the wreath so that candles can be placed inside or just secure them with screw-bottom candleholders or using the glue gun. 2. Place the ivy leaves around in a decorative fashion.
The eight candles are symbolic of the eight spokes of the year, and spinning the circle into motion at Imbolc is important. In ritual, the candles can be lit with a cauldron or bowl placed in the middle of the candle wheel.
...Blessed Be
