Ah, the park. So full of life, so full of energy... so perfect to let her see!

Near empty this time of night, the Victorian sailor suited Metis hopped the wall and easily pushed herself into the sturdy branch of one of the skeletal trees. One curse of winter was the lack of lovely foliage to keep you hidden. Quickly scanning the colors of the waves bouncing around her though, she was pleased to see camouflage wouldn't be needed that evening. Nothing but lovely green could be seen, no copper, no black, though she could pick up a few traces of yellow from the occasional animal.

No bums. No joggers. No youma. And no Negaversers!

And this fact only made her grin as she slipped down onto the relatively soft ground below. Her boots brought her silently across the grass, pace steady as she continued to survey for any potential trouble. Last thing she needed was a cop to stumble upon her bouncing around the trees and buildings. Or... well, anyone else, for that matter. No, tonight was a night for fresh air, easy patrol, and exercising. With that thought, she grinned, starting up a gradual jog before jumping back up into the trees. Branch to branch, pausing to look for anything beyond plants or animals, she added in twists and twirls to each leap, grabbing branches, hoisting herself up - using muscles she didn't get to use too often in her daily life. Even if nothing spectacular happened... there was just something so... liberating about henshining up.

It was one of Wolframite’s first patrols. While he usually ran at night once before taking a shower and going to bed, there was something different with sneaking out of his house and walking the streets. A sense of purpose. Being in a uniform, no matter how many bows it had, and transforming into a Negaverser made even a simple task as walking around the park seem different and new. He just couldn’t quit pin it down, but he did know he felt bad a** and giddy at the same time. Not only was he in a team that was talked about in the news, it was exclusive - and he got in.

The only downside was, he had absolutely no idea what he was doing. There wasn’t really much in the way of training. The simple command to serve the Negaverse, collect star seeds (whatever the heck those were), and fight the senshi was all he knew. Since he had no idea what star seeds were, he decided to stop by the park. If there were seeds anywhere in this city, a park seemed the best place to find them.

His entrance was rather normal. He walked into the park as he usually did, but made sure to go around the back. It was pitch out, and he really wished he brought a flashlight. Negaverse or not, the curling, bare branches that creaked around him really didn’t make him feel as untouchable as he felt only a few minutes ago. Finding a spot near a old birch, he looked around and then changed into his uniform. It was like a heat wave traveling around to distort his image, and then he was in his uniform. It still felt bizarre and amazing to watch, and he was half tempted to do it again.

Adjusting the bow at his neck, he started to walk around, looking for anything that might resemble a star seed. With it being nighttime and being in a park, he was pretty sure he’d find it somewhere.

Well hell.

So much for easy patrol.

Rounding a few trees, she came to an abrupt stop, noting the sudden intrusion of copper waves into her mass of green. And indeed, beneath one of the trees she'd been about to leap to, was a figure bathed in the same color aura. Her grip on the branch she perched on tightened, empty eyes narrowing on reflex. Had it just been a normal person, she would have changed direction and gone another way. Avoid them completely, no problems need be risked. But that copper wasn't pure. No, not with those black tendrils flickering through it.

And just when she thought she was done with the Negaverse for a bit, they just have to be here in her park.

Carefully, she followed by way of trees, trying her best not to make much noise. At least without the leaves, it left only strong branches to aim for. She was still too far away to pick up any exact details about the evil agent, but from her previous experience with that one Lt. Moonstone... she wasn't going to give this one a chance to see her quite yet.

Ensuring she'd be in range, she quickly hopped down from her branch, landing behind the wandering... child? From down here, she could at least make out their height was just a tad under hers, though gender was currently impossible to determine. "This'll be interesting," Metis stated softly, pulling her hand to her tiara, focusing the energy as it collected there. A ball of white was quickly vibrating in her hand, and soon as it grew to a proper size - "Mind's Eye Flare!" - she threw it at her new found opponent.

The sooner she had the advantage, the sooner she could determine which would be safer, flight or fight... right?

There had been little concern for what was above him as he moved about, wondering that, with changing into his uniform, he would somehow be able to detect or see star seeds that were around him. As of yet, he didn’t see anything aside from dead branches and a few cigarette butts that only made him angry. This is a park, people, not a trash can. Not in the mood, he continued looking about, wondering in the back of his mind, as he had since being told to, what a star seed actually was and why it was important. He could only imagine the little bean sprouts he had to grow in elementary school in a Dixie cup, and where a bean grew, was a little star. He hoped not, since it would mean he was more a farmer than a Lieutenant.

When he heard the thud, he only thought of a heavy acorn that was late to fall, and only glanced over his shoulder as he kicked a pile of leaves. There was only a quick glimpse, a flash of a girl standing holding a ball of light and shouting, before he was hit. Hit with what, he had no idea, and grabbing his weapon, he held it out with one hand as he rubbed his eyes with the other.

Little sparks of white danced in his vision and he expected them to fade, which they did, but instead of everything else coming back into focus, it was dark. Not dark like before, but pitch black. He couldn’t see a thing!

“What the hell?!” It wasn’t coming back. He couldn’t see, and he took the back of his other hand to paw at his face. Anyone coming around might think he was sleepy. Stopping, he looked around, trying to blink the dark out and stood still. He couldn’t see jack!

Worse yet, he had a suspicion that the girl in the skirt was someone he was suppose to be fighting.

“Who are you? What did you do?” It sounded clique, but he had no idea and was freaking out. Gripping the jump rope in both hands, he held it out and tried to shake off his own blindness. What if this was permanent?!
