Some stories aren't meant to be heard
There's always something who thinks it can beat death. There's always someone. But what if Death won the game the first time and now the game starts for the second time? There is a realm where Death rules like a dictator and many creatures of the afterlife have given up playing Death's game again. What is there left for it to take? So Death's underlings have started to rebel, wanting it to open the gates to the realm of the living, to the familiar welcoming land they once knew. There's only three keys to the gates and they all know, Death has one. Death is stronger than they thought. It's held off many creatures with the help of a few who agree with it; this is indeed a small group though. Three have escaped Death. Three have won the second game finally. They aren't cured from Death's curse. The living can clearly see they don't belong if they look close enough. The only way Death can warn them is through their dreams. The living are foolish and weak compared to the creatures of the afterlife. They stand no chance against the three who escaped the realm of nightmares so Death has made a deal with them. It is a deal for power and protection and one they can't refuse...

Settings The realm of Nightmares
This is the realm that Death is in control of. It is filled with endless darkness and the only light seems to come from the glowing red lava along the walls that reflect everyone's worst nightmare. This place has been called many names but the one Death is in favor of is Hell.
The realm of Memories
This is more of a peaceful realm. This is like a movie theater where the memories are stored. They run over and over again, nonstop. The keeper of it is unknown but it is the smartest of all its equals.
The realm of Creativity
This realm is seen as a little piece of Heaven. There is no such thing as Heaven but the unnamed creature that controls makes it seem like the living creature's description of it. This realm changes appearance a lot and there's million of rooms which belong to people.
The realm of Paintings
This is the never changing landscape. It appears as if some well known artist drew. It may appear to change but that is a trick of the eye. It is unknown if there is actually a ruler of this realm but this is more of a pass through area than an actual realm. It doesn't have any residents of its own, just visitors.

The realm of the Living
The name explains it at the most. It is where all living things come from, live, and are taken from. This realm is by far the largest and the only ruler of it is the living creatures that are created in that realm. This realm is so large that the story is pinpointing a certain location.
There's a town that lies in a valley between large mountains that you couldn't shot an arrow over and the rolling hills covered by a thick forest. It sits low and is easily flooded. The river that passes through the small hills provides the people with their water supply. The hills' thick forest spreads south and north of Sicte, the village that sits in the valley. The tall mountains are said to be covered at its peak with pits with no bottoms that lead straight to hell. The mountains are the most fearful thing in sight. Sicte had had history of long war, which has made it distance itself from the civilizations around it. It simply can't with stand another war. The evidence of this still haunts the forest with ruins and bones in the northeast.

You're not the only species here ---Creatures from the Afterlife The Realm of NightmaresDeath - The keeper of a realm of nightmares. Death is one of the few beings who has a key to the world of the living. Though, many of Death's underlings only live in its realm of nightmares. None of its underlings know what Death actually looks like. Since Death is a shape shifter, it changes its appearance very often so know one can say for what it is. Its most common forms are seen as a crow, a dog, and a cat.
Devil(s) - A devil is commonly looked as a demon because many of its physical traits are similar to that of a demon. Demons are not devils though but it could be said that devils are demons. Devils are rare in the realm of nightmares. They usually have control over the elements of darkness, earth, fire, or wind but they only have control of one In the realm of the living, they are seen as dark skinned beings. Devils in the afterlife have horns and a tail, though the tails are never the same. Usually they loose their horns when they enter the realm of the living. Loosing their horns causes much pain and a long time without them might result in death.
Demon(s) - Demons lay hand in and with devils and Death. Demons are the weaker from of devils since they don't have any horns and only a pointed tail. They were gifted by death to be able to shape shift into three other forms, other than their demonic form. They do not have the power of an element like their stronger siblings. Demons are more commonly seen. The Realm of Creativity??? - The keeper of the realm of creativity is an equal to Death. This keeper does not have a known name but many beings know that whoever it is exists. Whoever and whatever it is also has the key to realm of the living. It has control over memory.
Angel(s) - Many humans think that angels are from Heaven. They are not far off. Angels are creatures of creativity. They have control over light and wind. Unlike demons and devils, they seem to have found their way in the afterlife. Angels have either been lucky enough to die innocent, untainted by the evolving life forms around them, or have lucked out in the afterlife where they were pulled from the pits of hell by the keeper of creativity.The Realm of MemoriesNameless - Unsure if it ever had a name, the keeper of the realm of memories has gone by this title from the beginning of time. Though it is humble, it holds an atmosphere of mystery and intelligence to it. Nameless brings about the open mind of wandering, lost souls in the afterlife. It's home in the realm of memories is not usually a full eternity residence. It will not pass up any being wishing to revisit the old, lost memories of their past life or lives in some cases.
Libri(s) - Their existence is as vague and mysterious as Nameless. Some think they are the very creations of Nameless or maybe very bright, intelligent souls that could not settle in the other realms. Whatever Libris origins are, they seem to let off the same feeling as Nameless but work as librarians in this realm. They rarely speak and if they do, it is simple one-worded answers. Other beings have never been seen conversing with them. In appearance, they appear ghastly or just figures of light.The Realm of PaintingsNo residence of its own. Beings of the Afterlife do not belong to this realm but merely pass through it. ---Creatures of the livingI will not limit the species and races that living creatures can be. This land is vast and massive in culture. Fictional creatures, mutated creatures, even humans are game to the writers of this story. I do prefer some creativity and imagination for this though and I rather not have everyone piling in on the same race. If I see problems with this, I will limit and list the creatures here.

Every Society Needs Rules
-The rules gaia and this guild apply on ever single page
-No spamming period
-Keep everything in a range that is suitable to your audience and fellow writers. Common sense should tell you what that is.
-If you’re going to fight, no godmodding
-Romance is allowed here but please no cybering
-Please use correct grammar in this role play but it doesn't have to be perfect, mine isn't. This should include the basic: thoughts should be italic and do not use * * for any actions. It would also to be nice to see at least five sentences each post.
-If you want to join please PM me with the title Second Game. This just keeps the role play more organized in my opinion. If you have complaints about this, I will listen to them.
-If you plan on being gone for a while, please I beg you tell me ahead of time.
-If you want to kill someone you must first ask him or her and then me about it. If they say yes and I say yes then and only then you can kill them off.
-If you’re going to join do not just post once or twice or stay for a week and leave. If you do I'll delete you character and remember your name, so you may not be able to return.
-Do not post until I accepted your character
-I will be playing the three keepers of the afterlife. Their appearance in the role play will be very small and Death is likely the only one to show up that option.

Behind Those Watchful Eyes Keepers - For your information Death

Death has controlled the Realm of Nightmares for all eternity. There was a time where it did not rule this frightening realm of the afterlife but those times have always been cloaked in great fear and mysteries. It is not on good terms with the other keepers and that is a common point in all of them. Death is powerful in the afterlife but the power is limited during life.
-Current Strength:
Death control the darkness in each soul. So of course, its power is over darkness. It controls the unconscious mind and is able to transform itself into different from. Death's power is great and beyond knowledge.

Nameless is much like Death and the other keeper. It's past is a mystery, even to it. It does not speak any language or it does not sure normal gestures. It communicates through other means. Nameless spends its time keeper the lost memories organized and guiding lost souls.

Mainly, Nameless has the control of illusions, through which it communicates most of the time. This aside, Nameless has control over the thoughts and conscious mind of creatures.

This keeper, though the most peaceful and caring, has never been seen. Hiding from its residence, it shows great care toward the ones that stay with it. The appearance and even name are hidden from everyone but the two equals to it. It is likely the most unknown and mysterious of the three.
-Current Strength:
It controls the desires or rather the heart and emotions of souls. It is truly the opposite of death and can even bear the power to creature new souls. Light is its major strength along with the wind.

She was killed when someone tried to kill her parents. Their barn car while Emim was in it. Her parents were inside gathering things and her father was delayed even more by a phone call. So neither of them arrived to help her until the smoke came in through the doors. It was too late for Emim. Now that Death has something else in mind for her, she's a demon whose mind is cursed with revenge and hate.-Current Strength: Shape Shift

He's never in a pleasant mood when he walks home either so Calin is always locked in her room when he returns. She doesn't speak to him much and she usually eats at her friends' houses instead of her own.-Current Strength: Can turn self into a ghostly figure-The Mind is Controlled by suessepup32Marisa Kirisame -Realm of the Living-Part of the Witch Race -Resident for 15 Years -Gender is Female-Physical Appearance: As far as you know,I'm just a human.-Past Records State: Blending in seamlessly with normal humans,Marisa attends school like any normal teenager.On the outside,she appears to have a normal family that runs an herbal shop.However,most do not realize the secret the Kirisame family hides.Her mother is a witch,though her father is normal.The genes passed on to Marisa and her mother began to teach her how to use the Hakkero she was given to concentrate her powers.Her father knows of this,and while his wife and daughter run the shop,he writes books about fantastical worlds.-Current Strength: Light and heat magic.If it isn't flashy,it isn't magic.

For the Mind to Absorb For some more information and clarification For making a deal with Death:What Death is intentionally doing is helping the living by giving them extra power to protect and fight against the ones it is aware escaped. This comes in three simple steps:
1. Meeting in Dreams
2. Illness
3. Awareness and Control
Death can only meet and talk with the living through dreams. It may appear in other such forms and present itself but it cannot communicate. Dream forms vary in different ways, making sure the person wants the power and responsibility.
The transfer of power is not sudden. Most of the time, the person is not aware the dream was real and therefor, forgets about it. Unfortunately, the unnatural power puts stress on the body, commonly making the body ill for several days. This is the most vulnerable stage. The beings from the afterlife can literally see the power seeping out of the host's body and can destroy the person, getting them out of the way. Medicines can cure the illness and hide the power.
After the person is fully healed from the stress, they can begin to take control over the power they were given if finally accepting it. The powers Death gives the living are limited since it can only do so much just like its other equals. Most of the powers aren't pleasant but do come in handy. Death's power is based off darkness and so are the gifts it gives. For across-realm communication and transportation:Transportation through realms of the afterlife are rather easy and free flowing, like going from one country to another. In the Realm of Nightmares, Death is the only keeper restricting residence from leaving. The common way to travel to other realms is by a door that seems to stand upright with no needed help. Communication travels the same way here, though the other keepers can communicate without living their realms.
The gate between the living and the afterlife is much harder to open. It needs a special key, which the keepers have, to allow free exit and entrance into it. Creatures of the afterlife and of the living cannot communicate with each other through the gate. The living is strictly off limits and is usually a realm only visited once (in this role play, the problem is that isn't true). For the beings of the Afterlife: Angels are the only creatures that can pass freely into the realm of living, but usually choice the realm of creativity. Libris do not leave their home in the realm of memories but demons and devils are different. They do not enjoy their stay with Death and therefor try and escape to the realm of the living. The few who have escaped are the lucky ones. They can tell where Death is no matter what form it takes and can also sense the ones that might try and destroy them through Death's power. Usually Devils encounter a strong, negative emotion that drives them to do something before they can actually relax in this realm. Death is always trying to bring them back to its realm so relaxation is very rare.

OPEN Calin sat up quickly in her bed. Sweat was dripping down her pale face. Why did death keep coming to her in her dreams? Was it really Death that came?
Her brown hair was in a pig tail like had it before she went off to bed. Her purple eyes looked out the window to see nothing but night's darkness. She yawned and looked at the alarm clock next to her bedside. 4:39. Same time as yesterday. Why had it always been the same? She never got to hear the favor and she never answered Arion's question. She laid there for awhile staring at the ceiling of her room. "Calin! Where did you go?" His voice kept echoing through her head. She finally stood up and unlocked her door. Her dad must be sound sleeping for his snoring crept out of his room as she walked quietly by it. She couldn't handle the silent, lonely building. Her nightmares filled every dark corner so that home. She moved out doors where the small city was filled with different feelings for her.
Emin stroke her long black hair. It felt different compared to her long white hair as a full demon. There was no way better to walk by the living as being dressed as one. She crossed her arms, hugging the warmth of her body. She beat Death once so the cold wasn't what worried her. She was good at listening to people as she walked innocently by them, thinking of them as idiotic mortals. She wasn't the only one escaped and Death was against her once again. That's what her conclusion was. She wasn't going back to that realm. Not again. She tucked her black hair behind her as a woman walked by giving her pity. "Wretched mortal. I don't want pity," she hissed as the woman turned the corner. Emin looked around the dim city. It was not yet light out but the demon was eager to see the sun burn her eyes. Truthfully, this was the first time in ages she would see the real sun. The dim valleys in the realm of nightmares filled with the lava that only burned enough for you to see your hand had been unpleasant. Grimacing, she turned her attention to the quiet streets.

Marisa had been up rather early that morning,mixing a new recipe her mother had received.To normal humans,it appeared to be just an herbal medicine shop.However,the witches among the population knew the Kirisame name well and often bought supplies there.There were sometimes meetings among witches,Marisa rarely attended however,hating the frilly outfit her mother always made her wear.Soon,she would have to get ready to begin her day as a normal student.It was something Marisa enjoyed,fooling humans into thinking she was one of them.On a few occasions,she would end up cursing someone who got on her bad side,or there were the little pranks she made,and one of the times she had been practicing her Master Spark and nearly set a few houses on fire.Sighing to herself,she glanced out the window as the sky slowly began to brighten."Almost time.."She murmured.

Emin smiled as the light of the sun finally burned her eyes. It had been awhile since she had seen that. She had almost forgot what it looked like. The sun was something Death hadn't allowed in his realm. "It's been awhile but I have no time to stare at such beauties. Death is probably on its way how it is," she mumbled to herself when she was alone on the street. She pushed back her human, black hair. Her read eyes showed anyone who dared look into them the cold soul that had formed. Emin was not one to take lightly and she would do anything for herself.
As the mortals awoke, Death could not lay its messages for them any further. Taking the form of an elegant, black cat, Death had to search out the ones that might help by foot. Unfortunately, Death was aware that his messages would be unable to be heard due to the creature's language being unable to translate.
