-- ❀ GENERAL INFORMATION ❀ --
Her name, age, and general appearance and attire.

Claudia was 'born' on the 23rd July, 1410, and is currently one year old. Everything about Claudia’s appearance shouts out about the item she was born from – a white rose. Perched on top of her head is a large wide brimmed hat. Constructed from natural materials, like all her clothes, the cone of the witchy headwear is made of a flower stem, in fact, a pair of leaves do grow off the top point; making it seem as if the hat has just been plucked from a living flower. Binding the stem to the brim of floaty white petals is a fluted band of leafy green material. This band gives the hat its shape and it is embellished firstly with a strip of gold ribbon tied tightly (holding the three portions of the hat together most likely) and secondly with many tiny beads of amber. These droplets, much like the black tainted dew on the original flower, are fixed in their position and hold their shape when touched. It appears that they also have a slight luminance, faintly glowing and emitting a rich golden light. As is the case with all Caedos Claudia has pitch black skin and a glowing facial features which, in Claudia's case, are usually fixed into a sweet yet subtly malicious smile. Tied around her head, keeping the hat on, is more of the golden ribbon. Moving downwards one notices her beautiful and dainty dress. Two crinkled broad white petals at each shoulder and a similar cravat (pinned with a huge splash of amber) give the upper portion of her dress a pretty appearance – girly and perfectly floral. Covering the lower portion her pitch black arms is a continuous band of green wrapped tightly over and over until made skin-tight. Her fingers have been left exposed and are thin and slightly pointed. The upper parts of her arms are swathed in grand poofy petals. Her waist is synched inwards by a bow of the leafy-like material, again held by amber, however downwards from that point are an abundance of white petals. Overlapping, they form a pleasant skirt which hides a less dainty and more curious feature of the girl excitos. Her legs are not spindly and, unlike what one would expect, they do not really fit with the feminine garments worn by Claudia. In fact, the plague has thick bushy legs laden with many leaves. Similar to the leafy material elsewhere they have a slightly shiny waxy cuticle and if one were to touch them they would feel identical to a rose’s leaf. These powerful legs (allowing the excitos to jump to surprising heights) end with feet that curl into contrastingly dainty swivels. These minute and delicate curls sport a single leaf each and upon her feet there is two last touches of amber, glistening beneath her dress.

-- ❀ PERSONALITY ❀ --
Her development, traits and political stance.

A lot of Claudia’s personality can be explored via the examination of the flower she was born from: Pretty on the surface but with the stench of decay and corruption as an undertone to the pleasant first impressions. In much the same way Claudia may seem like the perfect little femme at first glance but below the façade of a polite smile and generously pleasant conversation she’s usually constructing a direly rude and negative opinion of you. From time to time this wickedly bitchy true nature sifts through, much like the thorns of a rose occasionally becoming visible beneath the attractive flower, and she is exposed as the cruel being that she truly is. The reason for his malicious judging is that honestly, in Claudia’s opinion, nobody can match her in terms of perfection. She is the ultimate and all others flounder in comparison. Her criticism falls especially harshly on other females – they’re fickle and especially poor in comparison to her. If a woman should dare to criticise Claudia in any way they will surely regret it as the flower will find a potentially awful way to get her revenge; she never forgets an offence directed at her. As a thing to be admired the flower seeks attention and flattery: she constantly grooms herself and is hyper aware of judging eyes, putting on the most attractive front suitable for the situation. Yet this attention that she gathers cannot be shared and Claudia will take personal offense she has to occupy the spotlight with anyone else. Usually the outcome of such a situation will be Claudia developing an especially bad opinion of the culprit responsible for her loss of captivation and enacting some sort of revenge upon them - ideally ruining their reputation so they can't steal the limelight from her again in the future. Desperately cutthroat Claudia wouldn't think twice about betraying someone for personal gain - every single thing that the flower does is for her own benefit. She relentlessly pursues success and feels physically ill if she stagnates for too long: she is never quite happy with what she has and is always looking onwards and upwards, desiring the possessions and positions of power of those above her. If she can get another to do her dirty work she will most certainly go down that route - avoiding being snared up in any unsavoury acts is more often than not a good thing as Claudia feels quite strongly in preserving a lady-like appearance. Never the less, when her temper or carnal desires for destruction get the better of her she can really get her hands dirty. Needless to say she’s not a pleasant person in any shape or form and if her true nature was to be known by all many would steer clear of her. But alas, that’s not the way of the world and under the disguise of pure white, untouchable petals, she continues to worm her way into people’s lives, corrupting, manipulating and destroying all who are foolish enough to become involved with her. She is a true thorn amongst the roses. In regards to where she sits on The House's politics Claudia is about as extreme as one can get. She has a passionate dislike of all the other factions in Panymium, especially the mages, and would actively encourage violent and disruptive behaviour towards them. She believes that Plagues are direct envoys of Obscuvos' will, born into Panymium in order to cause chaos and spread the plague. She holds caedos and infitialis in higher regards that the other types of plagues because of their spreading potential. In fact she actively looks down upon servos and locos as their curing abilities are reductive to what she believes to be the Obcuvian cause.

-- ❀ HISTORY ❀ --
A timeline of Claudia's life, past to present.

[Prologue: Tainted Rose]
--- ❀ ---

It’s traditional for a bride to carry a bouquet of flowers on their wedding day – virgin white and beautiful, often handpicked so that they will appear as fresh and pretty as possible on the bride’s special day. On the monumental day in Felicity’s life she followed this tradition with, on hindsight, painful enthusiasm. Her flowers were so fresh that the dew remained glistening on the white blooms even as she stood expectantly in the aisle... After it became evident her prince charming was not arriving they were strewn aside, thrown angrily at those who advanced to comfort her... However, when the hubbub of the guests had quieted Felicity had sorrowfully collected them and had taken them home in some painful hope that they could be used another day. Stored in the dark recess of her wardrobe alongside her wedding dress. Of course, her wish that her lover would return was not to be granted... All of the flowers died. As time went by they reduced to dry husks, just like how Felicity's hopes and dreams withered away and were replaced by soul-crushing sorrow. That is... all except one. One bloom's petals remained pert and white. The radiant dew that had perched upon it was the only thing that altered as time passed. The crystal clear droplets of water clouded to beads of tainted night and any perfume it once held curdled to a lovesick stench...

[Chapter one: Birth into Chaos]
--- ❀ ---

Claudia was born into the world at the conclusion of a very violent and chaotic Obscuvian initiation ceremony. She instantly discovered a passion for violence and felt a strong alignment with the chaotic extremist believers in Obscuvos. The men that has snared Felicity into their extreme practices felt more like kindred spirits to the malicious little plague than her actual Grimm. Indeed, Claudia felt incredbily discontented with Felicity when she discovered that she was only newly converted to The House and that she was not very radically minded. Claudia whole hearted threw herself into the belief that plagues were superior beings - closer to Obscuvos than any humans. She damned the failures of human kind and was instantly aligned with the idea that remnants should be treated with brutality. However, her small stature and lack of any political position resulted in high levels of frustration for the plague. She could do nothing but settle herself in the bottom of Felicity's wardrobe - constructing a residence there from Felicity's old wedding regalia and doll's house furniture- and wait until the time arose for her to help her extremist brothers in faith. Her contempt for Felicity's failures often bubbled over in the form of abuse, both physical and mental. She hated the bitter cold of Sherygoed and after a bad experience convinced Felicity to take her south - to the House dominated Auvinis where she hoped that there would be more opportunity to become active members of the religion.

[Chapter two: Hatred of the Mages]
--- ❀ ---

After living in the south for a little while Felicity was asked to infiltrate the Fellowship of the Mages in her home region. The pair were still in the grips of a very extremist sect of the cult and it was implied that they had very little choice in the matter. Felicity, having found stability by being able to escape the emotional torture of her memories in Shyregoed, was reluctant to move back - the possibility of failing her religious saviours also weighed heavily on her mind. Even Claudia was initially upset about this move because of her adamant hatred of the cold in the North however she eventually encouraged Felicity as she sees it as a chance to prove themselves to The House - so long as she took the flower's advise and kept her head in stressful situations they would be fine. Whilst in the north Claudia's hatred for opposing factions swelled considerably. Their attempted infiltration of the mages increased her disgust for them to the point where she despised mages and their plagues regardless of their personal character. She even began to develop a prejudice against Phasmas/Quietus because of their popularity within the mages. Claudia found herself with a particular enmity towards Blaithe. The colourful character was incredibly irritating to the rose and behind a false friendship Claudia wished for nothing more than to hurt her. Claudia thought that the Cirque de Panymium was wonderful and fostered a lot of respect for Sloane, despite his alignment with the mages after watching him go into a rage and kill several of the performers. Claudia frowned upon the friendly relationship between Jin-Ho and her Grimm and was delighted when he was almost mortally wounded by a House assassin. Whilst nobody else was in the room and Jin-Ho was unconscious and bleeding she violently attacked Blaithe before encouraging Felicity to make her exit and lay low for while.

[Chapter three: A Fortunate Turn of Events]
--- ❀ ---

As committed to chaos as she was it was only a matter of time until Claudia felt bored during the quiet period that Felicity clearly really enjoyed. Claudia belonged to the extremist side of the faith and felt unsatisfied with the every day, mundane life of someone who simply believed in Obscuvos and attended normal services. She wanted to contribute to her faith. Her devotion was best expressed through action as opposed to whispered prayers. As unsuccessful as Felicity had been as an extremist in the past the flower still hungered for her Grimm to rise through the ranks and make a name for herself; that way the rose could hijack her guardian's good name when she was more capable of contributing to The House. Fortunately for the caedos a sequence of dreams and visions provided the perfect opportunity for Felicity to garner interest in her name. Claudia spread the news of her Grimm's prophetic dreams and soon enough the pair of them were whisked off by no less than Andromeda the Wise. Despite her keenness to ascend in rank even Claudia was amazed and taken aback by the speed that the church reacted to Felicity's dreams. Never the less, she was very pleased and settled into her new luxurious life in the south with ease.

[Chapter four: Hunger]
--- ❀ ---

Claudia's contentment with her ease life did not last for long. She had a luxurious miniature mansion full of stunteds serving her. Her Grimm was mingling with the right kind of people and important connections were springing up left, right and center... But she wasn't in control. In getting Felicity to rise up the ranks the reigns had left her black hands. Felicity seemed to be getting more confident too and the extent of control that the flower had over her was diminishing bit by bit. Thus her life seemed lacklustre. She thirsted for thrills. Unfortunately for two stunted the flower found her thrill in tearing apart their little romance. Manipulating the situation carefully she drove them apart, made the rest of the household dislike them, and eventually stitched the boy up so it appeared he intended to kill her. His punishment was severe: death at the beak of a crow. Of course the flower framed the whole thing in a most intelligent manner - it was a game of cat and mouse where the mice didn't stand a chance. With sadistic thrill she made the girl look on as her lover was torn to shreds and her love of life was reignited when the girl threw herself to the crow - unable to live without her other half. With her scheme complete she moved on to extending her influence into the plague community of The House...

-- ❀ GENERAL INFORMATION ❀ --
Her name, age, and general appearance and attire.

Felicity Wickes was born in Cowle, Shyregoed on the 12th May, 1382, and is currently thirty years old. She is of average height, slightly under five and a half foot. She has always been slender in build but after her mental breakdown she became frightfully thin due to the fact she was too distressed to look after herself properly and more often than not was too upset to eat. Since recovering from her depression and in particular accepting The House's hospitality in Auvinus she has put on more weight, taking her away from being dangerously unfed to a more healthy figure. (Though she is still noticeably underweight and fragile looking.) Felicity's hair is greyish brown. It's condition is very poor and it is lacklustre, thin and tangles easily. In regards to style there is nothing particularly special about it. It's falls straight in a plain cut to around her shoulders, but due to the fact she doesn't spend much time upon her appearance it is frequently pulled up in a messy bun as that is far more convenient - and also minimises the amount that her Plague can tug on it when irked. Another sign of Felicity's nervous disposition and poor diet/lifestyle is her chalky white skin and brown eyes, forever ringed with dark rings that betray the difficulty she finds in getting to sleep.... All of Felicity's physical features are not helped by the fact that the way in which she dresses further makes her appear like depressed and somewhat ill. Her entire wardrobe consists of drab coloured clothes, mostly in varying shades of grey, black and brown, with the occasional washed out blue dress here and there... Since moving to Auvinus and doing more actively for The House she has invested in one or two better dresses so that she can make a good impression on those she meets, but generally speaking she constantly looks as though she could be going to a funeral. Felicity's most prized item of clothing is her Obscuvian mask. A delicately made porcelain piece with a long slightly curved beak and delicate floral pattern painted in black.

-- ❀ PERSONALITY ❀ --
Her development, traits and political stance.

Felicity was once a nervous wreck. She used to have difficulty leaving the house; initiating conversations with other people made it feel as though her throat was constricting, choking words before they could leave her mouth properly; anything marginally alien or unexpected would send her into a nervous fit. Some days she simply wouldn't leave the relative safety of her bed and would sit, crying at intervals, hoping that the heart wrenching pain of loss would disappear. However, a long time has passed since those days and Felicity has come a long way emotionally. First finding hope in the form of an unexpectedly fresh rose, then The House of Obscuvos and eventually in the malicious yet adored little life form that sprung from the aforementioned rose. As a result of these good things to cling onto and invest her hopes into, Felicity has been able to restructure her fragmented emotions, becoming a stable responsible woman once more. Never the less, despite all the progress she has made Felicity is still by no means a confident woman. Her stutter, although improved, continues to impair her speech and when confused, scared or even excited she can find a horrifying strangling sensation preventing her from speaking properly. Her nerves are still razor sharp and it doesn't take much to spook the poor woman, and very little is needed to knock her confidence. She predominantly has an expression of surprise, or agonised fright on her face. Even when she is relatively content she still tends to look a little shaken, perhaps due to the length of time she spent in such high levels of distress. However underneath this nervous visage is a pleasant, caring woman who (despite her alignment with a religion famous for its violent tendencies) tends to genuinely care about others that she meets. Felicity has a particularly soft spot for children... She most certainly displays something of a maternal instinct and would never allow any harm to come to a child if she had any power to prevent it. Her stance on The House is that for the most part it should continue try to encourage as many people to convert as possible and live righteously under the wing of Obscuvos. Because of her mild temperament she would rather not see extreme action undertaken in the name of Obscuvos, judging from her own experiences she believes aggressive behaviour causes more harm than good. Never the less, she doesn't condemn those who believe in the need to actively attack those that stand against Obscuvos' will... Sometimes force is necessary and the scriptures can most certainly be interpreted to encourage actively promoting the spread of chaos. Her thoughts on the spread of the plague is undecided. On the one hand she thinks that Plagues are holy, and that those that spread the plague are the most aligned with Obscuvos, so their natural ability to spread the plague must be part of her god's will. But on the other hand she feels for those who must lose their lives painfully because of the disease - especially as non-Grimm followers of The House have no protection despite being devout believers.

-- ❀ HISTORY ❀ --
A timeline of Felicity's life, past to present.

[Prologue: The Decaying Bride]
--- ❀ ---

Born into a fairly standard Sherygoedian family. Her mother was a devoutly religious woman who impressed her feirce religious veal upon the rest of the family. Her father was nondescript - he was more than content to bumble through life so long as his wife was content and his child healthy and happy. As a result of this slightly uninspiring upbringing young Felicity was a fairly plain Jane kind of girl. She was brought up with good morals; never drank; never smoked; always went to church and said her prayers daily. To some she appeared boring, meek and homely, but within the young girl’s world everything ran smoothly and since she had never known any different she was content with her rather monotone life. Her existence continued in much the same routine of mundane actions until her mid twenties – when she met a charming young man at church who brought the sparkle to Felicity’s grey life. The pair were an unlikely match at first, he was dashingly good looking whilst she barely stood out in a crowd with her mousey hair and washed out complexion. Yet somehow they worked well together and thus began their romance. They jumped rapidly through the movements of love and within two years of courting they sat down her parents and informed them that they were engaged to be married in the slightly milder Sherygoedian summer. The following months passed in a haze of pleasure – dresses were purchased, arrangements made for the big day, Felicity had been brimming with happiness. Finally the big day arrived and all were standing in the church with baited breath. The groom did not turn up on time; in fact, he never turned up at all... Felicity was left sobbing at the altar with only a slowly wilting bouquet of flowers to console her broken heart. She never heard from her beloved ever again. Indeed, even her letters to his family were rebuked. He came from Helios and it was assumed that - upon getting cold feet - he had returned to his hometown and intended never to see her again. His cruel betrayal, without any kindness to soften the blow, splintered poor Felicities mind and she sunk into a deep depression. She sealed herself up in the house that had meant to be their shared dwelling, crammed all her wedding regalia into the bottom of her wardrobe and allowed the world to fall to pieces around her. She ceased contact with her concerned parents. She still ventured out to church - but moved away from the community her mother was part of. She couldn't bare the shame. In her eyes it was all her own fault that she had been jilted. Several times her depression and mental deterioration led her to thoughts of suicide... But she was never brave enough to carry her internal thoughts into external realities. Instead she sat in her cold white bed and cried.

[Chapter one: Discovery of the Rose]
--- ❀ ---

Eventually a distressed Felicity decided to fight against her demons and delve into the wardrobe where she had hidden all of her wedding related things. Out of sight, where they could not remind her of painful memories. However, when she peeled back the faded silk of her dress she revealed her bouquet... Withered, twisted and as dead as her romance. Yet there was a single flower remaining that wasn't dead. In fact it looked more alive than ever - the petals velvety to the touch and glimmering with dew seemingly still fresh from the tragic morning when she had been jilted. She was so glad to see that at least a very small part of her love lingered that she overlooked the shadowy gleam to the dewdrops and the less than pleasant aroma that clad the rose. She clung to it and used it as motivation to attempt to rebuild her life. It never left her side. Indeed, it was in her pocket when Felicity first heard the words of Obscuvos. In the marketplace near her house a preacher of His word caught her attention and she visited him often to hear his promises. It seemed to her that Obscuvos promised to help her more. The House as a religion was actually active. Obscuvos lived and breathed through his apostles, his will was enacted upon Panymium through his following - unlike the cold and uncaring faces of the religion she had been a part of all of her life. The religion that gave her nothing at her lowest point. Unfortunately the powerful speaker was aligned with the more radical following of Obscuvos. Felicity was subsequently drawn into a very extreme limb of the cult - her initiation test went awry and frightened Felicity terribly. Blood of an innocent was spilt and Felicity's already fragile nerves were given a terrible shock. However in amongst the terror, Claudia was born. A sign that Obscuvos really did care; through him her life could be given shape and meaning again.

[Chapter Two: Infiltration]
--- ❀ ---

Being the last thing remaining from her engagement Felicity put a lot of faith in the rose plague. She let the terrifying little creature get her way no matter what; the more abuse tormented with the more the Grimm's heart seemed to cling onto the rose. Thus, when Claudia demanded that she move south to Auvinus there was little Felicity could do to deny the request for fear that the flower would do the unimaginable and leave her alone. The House facilitated her move and after a month or so travelling from one House aligned inn to the next she, alongside a handful of other pilgrims, arrived safely in the balmy southerly region. Obviously a simple follower like she did not get any special treatment: a small room and minimal food rations - the church supported her, but only just. However, after some time passed The House wanted something in return for the hospitality they had shown Felicity. Her name and the details her violent initiation ceremony, had been passed on to an influential figure within the cult and he had a task for the nervous woman. She had to go back to her home region again, taking up residence in her old house, and try and infiltrate the mages. Of course, Felicity was wary of the task... She was a nervous wreck! A timid little sparrow compared to the gleaming, powerful crows that were symbols of her newly adopted glutton god. (Though it was exactly this unassuming appearance that made her such a perfect candidate.) However, her desire to please Obscuvos made her agree and she began the northward journey immediately. At first Felicity found it very hard to get anywhere with her task - she was inherently nervous and whenever she thought about what she had to do she found herself closing up and the words catching violently in her throat. During her time back in Sherygoed the Cirque de Panymium performed. It was a wonderful winter spectacle that went awry and morphed into a bloody message from extremist Obscuvians to the Fellowship. However, this event proved to be the springboard that Felicity needed in order to get closer to the mages. At the event she met Jin-Ho, who, in the following weeks, she became very close to. She eventually managed to become more accepted into the mage community, providing her House superiors with any information that might have been deemed useful. Eventually she was found out when Claudia maliciously attacked Blaithe - revealing in the process her alignment with Obscuvians - when an assassination attempt was made on Jin-Ho's life. Felicity fled from the mages who she had betrayed but remained in Shyregoed, semi afraid that her failure would displease the extremists that had charged her with the task.

[Chapter Three: Life goes on]
--- ❀ ---

After a roller coaster ride under the influence of the extremists within the religion Felicity was more than happy to find that the vast majority of Obscuvians were not manic god-fearing chaos creators. Most were simply like her - they loved the crow headed god, prayed to him, pleased him in little ways but could still live how they desired. Felicity lived for a time in this average Obscuvian way. She finally seemed to be free from extremist influence. Of course she was still very devout. During this time she read all the Obscuvian teachings and attended all church events. Her life revolved around the church and nothing but the church. Evidently she became a fairly well known member of the church community and despite not being very vocal (due to her nerves and shyness) her dedication to The House and Obscuvos' will was noted by fellow members of the congregation. Perhaps the first in her life since being left at the altar she felt comfortable and happy - this was the life she had dreamed of when she had first heard the voice of Obscuvos through his oracle in the marketplace.

[Chapter Four: The Rise of Dreams]
--- ❀ ---

After a few months of this almost perfect quiet life Felicity experienced a 'vision' that effectively knocked her finally normal little life off kitler once more. This vision involved a crow that seemed to speak with Obscuvos' voice. She had been on her way to church when she had seen it and it had told her to turn around and go home. Later on she discovered that the vision had effectively saved her from a violent raid on her church; an event that she would have had no other means of knowing about. Furthermore, she had a dream in which Obscuvos suggested that he had plans for her. In this dream he showed her a vision of the end of days, and the consumption and rebirth of the world. She was of course overwhelmed with this religious experience... At first she did not wish to tell anyone else about it - only Claudia - however the rose thought it was important to share the information. The rose argued that communications with the divine were something to be proud about; finally poor little wallflower Felicity deserved some attention! News of her vision spread through the local Obscuvian community and not everybody reacted positively to the news that Felicity was tipped off about the church's destruction. Many lost loved ones and friends... However, before the boiling pot of emotions could bubble over with disastrous consequences Felicity was visited by Andromeda - The Holy Wife. She took Felicity back to Auvinus and offered Felicity permanent residence at one of the main House locations in the old Prophet's room; far superior to the lodgings she had received from The House beforehand. Similar to before The House wanted something in return for their kindness and hospitality, however unlike the unkind and forced extremism Felicity experienced beforehand all that was asked of Felicity was to spread the word of her experiences with Obscuvos and attempt to bring new followers to The House. Felicity travelled the country a little, doing the occasional sermon here and there and gaining a little more reputation within The House. Her nerves settled a little as she became more acclimatised to public speaking and actually felt a little more self-worth. A disruption to her pleasant touring and speaking lifestyle came in the form of a summon by the Council of Sciences. The promise of safety and a desire to be informed of important information made the normally nervy Grimm accept the offer. What she discovered in regards to the emperor wanting people to give up their plagues and the ensuing chaos upset her terribly and renewed her belief that The House needed to do whatever possible to disrupt the authority of the monarch... Finally she saw a reason for the violent wings of the Obscuvian religion that she had been frightened by when she first converted. After a few more minor visions - all of which pertained to small events across Panymium - Felicity was visited by a peculiar dream quite unlike her other visions. It seemed more personal somehow. She was walking through a rose garden which eventually became overgrown, semi-conscious and monstrous; the plants attacking her and an injured crow. In the dream she was eventually saved vision by the plague doctor who was brought into her mind because of the recent events involving the emperor or was part of the vision itself. The meaning of it all was unclear. However, shortly after the dream Claudia was approached by The House to prove herself as a leader figure amongst The House's plagues.

-- ❀ CURRENT ACCOMODATION ❀ --
Felicity and Claudia's current place of residence.

[Auvinus: Blackmere]

[Useful map]

-- ❀ PAST ACCOMODATION ❀ --
Felicity and Claudia's previous places of residence.

[Sheyrgoed: Cowle]
--- ❀ ---

Felicity’s Sheyrgoed home is depressing and run down to the extreme. Originally it had been a fairly uplifting space: it’s relatively large for its positioning in the city, and having two bedrooms is something that not many in Felicity’s position (a single woman with no viable income) can boast about... It was bought for Felicity by her fiancé. They had intended to live together after their marriage – the spare room intended to eventually become a child’s bedroom. Felicity had been house-proud and had kept the place surprisingly warm, light and cosy despite the lack of extraordinary natural light and heat sapping stone construction. However, after her crash into depression and her lover’s heart wrenching departure the place fell to wreck and ruin... Dust gathered over all the surfaces, and the thick glass windows got grimy to the point where they were almost blacked out with filth. An overwhelming atmosphere of melancholy hangs about the place. Nobody ever went into the spare room and besides the living room, a corner of the kitchen and Felicity’s bedroom, the house was left to deteriorate. Claudia hated the ‘hovel’ that Felicity lived in and very vocally displayed her desire to move into accommodation alongside other members of The House, preferably in a region other than the snowy north... Despite giving in to the rose's demands and moving away, Felicity would never sell the place as it has so much emotional significance. When they visit the north the flower is forced to live in the bottom of the wardrobe. Luckily Claudia has now got quite a formidable collection of stunted servants to tend to her every need and they have gradually constructed a series of quite well furnished rooms in the wardrobe – allowing the rose to make do with the mimicry of luxury until she is able to get back to it in earnest elsewhere.

[Auvinus: Hidden extremist base]
--- ❀ ---

Claudia and Felicity spent a short spell under the wing of an extremely radical sect of Obscuvians. Their base of operations was located somewhere in Auvinus - the nearest town being Foxbrook - however pining down the exact location as the sect are very secretive about the location of their base for obvious reasons. If they were to be found out the Panymium military would undoubtedly try to shut them down in order to prevent more attacks upon the government being orchestrated: they are a major thorn in the sides of anyone who opposes The House. In order to avoid detection the extremist cultists built their base entirely underground. There is no external clue in the expanse of featureless Auvian fields that beneath the surface is a warren of tunnels with accommodation, training rooms and even church-like spaces. Entrance is gained through small trap doors that are hidden and can only be found by core members of the sect - Felicity was even blind folded when she was taken to her new home in order to keep the location secret. Her room was very small and she shared with Claudia. It was only just large enough for her with minimal furniture. Needless to say, it wasn't anything like the glamorous welcome into The House that her flower caedos had imagined. Never the less the pair were content during their short stay - at the very least it was warmer than Felicity's house in Colwe.
