Necrotic Miasma This adorably creeptastical little girl is able to produce a gas that causes buboes to form on the skin (and other living tissues), causing the tissues to blister up, turn black, and slough off rather painfully. Ouch. Someone's gonna need a bandaid or two.

~About Tish~
Full name: Patricia Marie Jenkins Meaning: Noble, Sea of Bitterness Nickname: Tish Gender: Female Birth Date: September 17th Astrological Sign: Virgo Birthplace: Barton Age: Twenty-five Race: Human Hair Color: Brown, but only because she dyes it. (Natural hair color is red-gold) Hair Style: Short, with bangs hanging over her forehead and two longer bangs that frame her face. Eye Color: Clear blue of a light but intense shade Skin Tone: Peach Build or Body Type: Short and curvy, but not overweight. Height: 5'4 (and 1/2) Weight: Like she'd ever tell.
Basic Personality: Can we say supermom? Tish is socially awkward with most adults and prefers to keep to herself, but you'd never know it if you see her with a child. Tish loves children (except for her cousin's little monsters kids) and will do just about everything to ensure their happiness, safety and general well-being. Tish is a medical transcriptionist, so she works from home and knows an inordinately large amount of information from having books as her main companions throughout her life. Working from home gives her the perfect opportunity to provide a secure and loving home for any children that need her to care for them.
Likes: Children, fantasy novels, and the color green.
Dislikes: Awkward situations, adults who are cruel to children, and peanut butter.

~Horror Child~ Tish awoke from an unexpected nap on the couch to the scariest sound that she had ever heard in her life. The brunette parent had accidentally fallen asleep while reading a novel, and at first thought that she still might be dreaming. But then, what kind of nightmare voice sings "Twinkle Twinke Little Star?" Swallowing past her suddenly-dry mouth, Tish stood up and gathered her courage, belatedly noticing the pile of pillows in one corner of the room that moved and quivered occasionally, and the multiple pairs of eyes that peeked out of it. Quickly spotting and recognizing most of her children, she went to them first, only to have Luvvie spring out and attach herself to her mother's leg, followed rapidly by Faiya - Lissy and Axel, however, remained hidden in the pillow fort. "Mama, it's scary!" Luvvie yelped, tightening her grip on her mother's leg. "Uh-huh! Scary, Mama! Very scary!" Faiya echoed, and the brunette knelt down to hug them for a moment. She wass just as frightened as they were, but had a sneaking suspicion as to what was going on - there was one child mysteriously absent from the pillow-fort, after all. Patting both girls on the head, she nudged them back to the fort and told them she'd take care of the problem. Rising back to her full height, with a pillow for a shield (at Axel's insistence), Tish marched to the playroom where the source of the eerie singing was found - peacefully coloring a pretty picture. Looking up from her drawing, the creepy notes died away and Miri's eyes lit up behind her mask. With a trill of joy, the toddler leaped to her feet and ran to her mother, hugging her legs in a happy moment that was the clear opposite of what her sisters had done minutes ago. "Mama! You woke up! I drew a pi'ture for you, Mama." Looking around innocently, the little plague doctor blinked. "Hey, where did ever'body go? I wanted to show them my pi'ture too!" Tish ducked her head and picked her daughter up, holding her close and cuddling her. Kissing the top of her masked child's head, Tish carried her into the living room and sat her down, allowing the other little ones to climb out from their pillow fort. "You can come out now, everyone," Tish called, while Miri looked down at them in confusion. "Why are you all hidin'? Did Somethin' scare you?" Miri asked, absolutely clueless to the fact that she had been the one who had scared her entire family silly.

~What Lies Beyond (The mask)~ "Miri, sweetie, I know you don't like it, but that mask just has to come off. You can't take a bath with it on," Tish cajoled her anxious daughter, while said toddler kept her hands firmly clasped to her beak-mask and shook her head wildly. It was bathtime in the Jenkins house, but Miri was being difficult. She loved her mask; it kept her safe, her features hidden, helped her to hide from all of the scary people out there, and she did not want to take it off. Unfortunately, she had to, only Tish was having absolutely no luck in persuading her. "Come on, baby - you want to get clean, don't you?" Tish asked, trying to hug the little girl and reassure her - only to have Miri push her away. "No, Mama! I want to keep my mask!" Miri declared yet again, a strained note in her voice implying that she was on the edge of bursting into tears. It was then that Luvvie came in the bathroom. Hugging her little sister close, Luvvie bent near her sister and whispered something unheard by their mother into the tiny plague doctor's ear. Miri's eyes widened behind her mask. "Really?" she asked, receiving a nod in return. Eyes lighting up behind the glass crystals, Miri reached up and took her hat off, followed by her mask. Without the mask obscuring her features, the little girl was much less frightening than one might assume. In truth, Miriam was quite pretty, with very pale skin, a button nose, wide crimson eyes that sported a perpetually doe-eyed look, and glistening silver-white hair that hung around her face in silken strands. "I can put it back on after, right Mama?" Miri asked timidly, kicking her feet. "Right?" Tish was only too happy to agree, and bathtime passed without incident. Tish wished she could get her pretty little daughter to stop hiding behind that mask, but she knew when to pick her battles - surely Miri could grow out of the extreme attachment as she grew older? After the bath was over, Miri scrambled to stick the mask back on, not even waiting for Tish to dry her hair beforehand. Then, with mask on, she got her nightgown on and skipped down the hall to her and Luvvie's room, where she climbed up on her bed. Smiling at her, Luvvie picked up a giant stuffed bear from her little bed, and carried it over to Miri. "There, Miri~ You get to sleep with Kisa for a whole week, just like I promised!" It was clear now just how Luvvie had gotten Miri to take off her mask - bribery in the highest form. Well, whatever worked, worked.
