Most American women shave. There's not necessarily anything wrong with that. But the fact that we're expected to shave is a problem. Because that's sexist.
Despite the stereotypes, hair is not "dirty." It's not "disgusting." It's not "only for men." And it's not "only for women who can't get men."
We all have body hair. It's natural. And it's washable, just like the hair on your head.
So it's way past time we started breaking down some of the stereotypes and started choosing for ourselves whether or not we want to shave rather than making the decision solely based on silly, sexist, and outdated expectations.
Never let anyone make you feel like you have to do something to your body that you don't want to do. You do have the right to choose.

Wanna see something funny? Take a look in the celebs gallery from that bottom link and at the very bottom where it lists people who choose to go bald, it lists Michael Jordan's pic as Michael Jackson.

I personally like shaving because I like to be smooth. I agree with the sexist idea because i think men should shave their legs and under-arms too! but it's in thier head that they're "gay" if they do that.
So it's not a one way thing of women shaving is sexist. It's also sexist that men don't shave. 3nodding

On a personal level, I don't think I could date a lady who would have more hair on their arms than I do on my arms. Only place of theirs that wouldn't be a turn off to have hair, is their head and down there(you know what I mean), anywhere else, it's not very attractive to me. And why do people even have hair under their arms anyways, I've seen no benefits!

Valgex On a personal level, I don't think I could date a lady who would have more hair on their arms than I do on my arms. I don't know any women who shave their arms. xp Most women that I know shave their legs, underarms, and sometimes their pubic hair (even though shaving pubic hair is not healthy and not recommended). But honestly, if you're picking partners based on things like amount of hair anyway, you're probably missing out on some great opportunities and setting yourself up to have some really bad and shallow relationships! Valgex Only place of theirs that wouldn't be a turn off to have hair, is their head and down there(you know what I mean), anywhere else, it's not very attractive to me. I shave because I personally like the smooth feeling, and now that I've done it for so long I itch if I don't shave.
I could care less about shaving my pubic hair. lol Except my bikini line, I hate the way it looks. Other than that, bah.

I haven't been picky with the hair thing, cause the ones I've dated, never had more hair than I. Don't get me wrong, personality is number one, but if their appearance has things I find unattractive, like piercings on the face or stuff like that, you know?

Assuming people shower anyway, I was at one of my little sister's middle school football games the other day and I'll be damned if I didn't have to hold my mouth shut to keep from telling this one teenage girl (looked high school age) to go take a shower. I didn't think a girl's BO could get that bad before then. X_X

I didn't think a girl's BO could get that bad before then. X_X Yeah, there is a good chance that kind of smell wasn't a result of hair. It's possible she didn't shower recently. It's also possible she didn't shower well (not all girls know that they have to at least rinse their labia). Or maybe she had her period and wasn't her changing her pads often enough (that can lead to an ungodly stench). Or maybe she forgot deodorant. Also, studies have been done on human smells. Some found that guys don't really like the natural smells of a woman unless she's ovulating. And women don't like the natural smells of guys unless they (the women) are ovulating. The researchers said it was nature's way of making sure guys don't waste their time on women who aren't fertile at the time. We can also sniff out relatives, which is nature's way of cutting down on inbreeding. Here are some snippets. Probably not the best snippets, but the ones I found the fastest! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_y8NTaPNQYhttp://www.altpenis.com/penis_news/sex_smell.shtmlhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iNRbOoVCzIw

Runs_With_Scissors34 How do guys feel about pubes XDD I prolly spelled it wrong razz People prefer different things. But a lot of people don't realize that pubic hair on a female is a very good thing! Male pubic hair doesn't matter quite as much. xp Your pubic hair protects your v****a just like your eyelashes protect your eyes. The hair traps bad things before they can make it into your v****a. Your hair also holds your underwear away from your skin. That improves airflow, which cuts down on infections and bad smells. So if you remove all your pubic hair, you're increasing your chance of infection and bad smells. Staying all natural is best, but if you really want to remove some hair, just trim or remove hair from the bikini line. If you're with a partner who wants you to remove all your hair and you don't want to, feel free to explain to him why you don't. It is your body, and you are not obligated to do anything with your hair that you don't want to. If he tries to force you or guilt trip you after that, he's probably a big shallow jerk anyway! And it certainly is possible to find guys who are ok with and supportive of natural bodies. I do not shave or trim my pubic hair. I have a partner right now. I've had partners in the past. And I've received oral sex. Never had a problem or complaint. 3nodding

As to the question asked by runs with Scissors, I hold no realy preference, I have minimal experience, but whatever the person likes is fine in my book. Only thing I have a bit of preference against, is completely shaven, or bald so to speak. I find it looks really ... well yeah.

Nope, that smell was straight up armpit. Unfortunately on my old ship you had plenty of chances to recognize different kinds of funk because we were plagued with stinkies.
One thing I always pick up on with women is if they use a soap or shampoo with that cucumber scent. Gets me every time.
And @Runs_With_Scissors I don't really care as long as it's not somewhere my mouth is gonna be. I try to kemp myself according to those same standards.
Although personally I have to trim my hair short. Uncut it can get up to or over 2 inches I think. >>;;

In a good way or bad way? xp Asher2501 And @Runs_With_Scissors I don't really care as long as it's not somewhere my mouth is gonna be. I try to kemp myself according to those same standards. Personally, I'd rather not be licked in any places where hair grows. xp It's not that it would bother me or anything, it's just that the arms, underarms, calves, labia, and top of my hot aren't exactly my "hot spots." xp The clitoris is the part you typically want to focus on during oral sex, and that part does not grow hair. wink
