The base of the waterfall had become the fiery pae's favorite place and home, he'd gotten used to this new place, though still from time to time longing for the place he once knew as 'home'. Ahi for the most part kept to himself but now and again being spoted by new pae, or ones who knew him forced him to be somewhat social.
This day was not unlike any other, as he sat on a ledge near the base of the falls his tail split to legs as he discovered he could do only a short while before this day and he was kicking at the water below him.

Cadassi gave a small series of kicks as he glided through the water, his fin poking out of the water as he swam. Playfully poking at the smaller fish beside him, he giggled as the school broke apart and sped away.

Not even bothering to listen for the sound of others over his own kicking the male picks up a few pebbles and tosses them into the pool before slipping into the water, and moving away from the falls, even as he moved away from the falls small bubbles rose all around him the little 'fires' producing all these bubbles as he returned to his normal state... bored

Cadassi swam a little closer to the falls, the currents psuhing at him pleasantly. He liked this swimming thing. IT wa spretty relaxing. Turning over and gliding on his back, he closed his eyes and paddled leisurely.
Feeling the currents start to psuh against him, he opened his eyes and rolled over, hoping to see the rush of the falls under the water. Instead, he saw a naiad swimming on the distance. And what looked like...flames?
Cadassi squinted, thinking his mind was playing tricks on him. Flames didn't do so well in water. Kicking foward, he glided deeper under the water to try and get a better look at the foreign pae.

Said flames didnt even seem to be bothering the naiad, in fact his tail seemed to be completely on fire. Ahi stopped, turning over a couple rocks below him, ok no denying allowed, the naiad wanted more treasure, he loved it as much now as he ever did.

Cadassi slid in closer, moving slowly so he didn't alarm the young teen. He wasn't sure if this wa another of the long line of crrazies he seemed ot keep finding, but he didn't want to die to find out.
Eyes wide, he watched at the pae searched the sea floor, more than amazed at flamed tail he was sporting. He wondered if he could get close enough to touch it. He wasn't quiet by any means, but just maybe he could sneak in a quick touch. To see if the flames were real.
Inching closer, he crouched to the ground behind the younger naid and slowly reache dout his hand, fingers aimed toward the fiery tail.

No heat behind the flames, just a tickling feeling... but the teen perks up and looks over his shoulder, a look on his face more of surprise then anything else "Hello?" he says seeing the sharkboy there, his hand in the middle of the flames dancing merrily from his tail. "Who are you?" he'd never seen this male before. Though he had to admit the male in front of his eyes was nothing like the other Pae he'd met over the course of months

Cadassi was amazed. The falmes didn't even burn. Wait... Did that mean they weren't real? What the hell... Had he finally gone crazy??
He had just been about to stick his other hand in the young naid's tail when he heard the owner of the tail speak. Jumping suddenly, he stuck his hands in the air, almost in defense, and backed away quickly. "I.. Umm.. I was just...Cadassi?" he finally managed to stutter out with a nervous smile.

Ahi smirks and turns around, now more of the flames visible, like the ones on his hips. "just Cadassi?" he was shy but yet not, right then he was more curious "Ahi" he points at himself and waits to see if the sharkboy would say more

Cadassi nodded, slowly lowering his hands. So far so good. Maybe the fish pae hadn't noticed his...fondling. Shaking his head at his own responses, he offered out a timid hand.
"Nice to...ummm... meet you...Ahi." he said, his speech slow and nervous. He wasn't used to people who didn't try to assault him in some way, shape or form upon meeting them.

Ahi taps his chin, eyeing Cadassi up and down "Nope... you not a pirate" he made a decision with a firm nod. He moved his tail away from the male and examined him closer "What pae'il kind you are?" he asked with a questioning tone, his empty hands suddently playing with a small gold coin which seemed to come from nowhere all though the small stone the boy had held moment before was now missing

Cadassi lowered his hand then shrugged. "I'm not really sure. The person who found me swears I'm a demon from the sea." he said, not adding that she also swore he was out to get her. "But every demon I've seen so far has wings. And I have... Well, that." he explained, pointing to the large fin on his back.
Eyeing the flames on the boys tail once more, he risked asking his own question, since the kid in front of him seemed freindly enough. "What kind of naiad are you? Never seen a fish with a fiery tail before either."

"Aye? Demon?" ok the boy was a lil dense in that regard "ok, yous a demon" he wasnt about to argue that, it didnt bother him in any which way. Ahi uses his free hand and runs his fingers through the flames of the tail's tip "Ahi is Ahi... is different aye" but something the other pae had said did however have his attention "person found you? like treasure?" his eyes lit up.
Ahi's english is poor, but that mainly had to do with his lack of a role model to learn from as he grew. well cept the pirates he sometimes overheard while hiding and observing from his prior home of the ship, and lord knows a pirate's english can leave a lot to be desired....

Cadassi paused, the english a bit rought ot understand but familiar. Though the last question was a little creepy. Now that was normal for the poor demon.
Relaxing a little, he leaned back against the rocks behind him and gave Ahi a shake of his head. "Naw. No treasure. My caretaker found me washed up on the beach after her drunken, one night stand with some pirate grog. Which explains why she was near the beach in the first place. Otherwise she would have been ranting about the sea being all evil and out to get her."
Making the crazy motion with his ear, he elaborated. "She's a bit of a loon."

"Finding Ahi is noone, but I meet a few other paes, not manys." He grins from ear to ear and swims quickly around the pae all the way back in front once more. "Lived around pirates, their ship and such" He taps his chin his boredum was flitting away like the bubbles from his sides and tail fin. "Loon?" he questions
