I have a ps3 and i kinda realized that the ps3 dosent really play games online very well and all my friends have problems with it to. dose any one else have that problem or know how to fix it. Im worried that the ps3 will end up lagging or freezing when playing ffxiv. How do you guys feel about the ps3 and the online play and how you think SquareEnix will fix this problem with ffxiv?

are you sure it's not your ISP (internet service provider) that's the problem? or even your router? some router's suck and disconnect a lot, and some ISPs have weak signals and disconnect. online games suck a lot of bandwidth, so if you're sharing your connection and the other person is downloading something or viewing pictures w/e, it can lag the game you play. idk, i don't think SquareEnix will do anything about it, you'll just have to upgrade your ISP or use a hard Ethernet cable or buy a separate modem/internet package solely for gaming lol.

I dont think it is. I have a good provider and router. Also everyone i know has problems with ps3 and being online... but it is wireless so i chould try hooking it up with an ethernet cable. the only problem is id have to drill a few holes in the walls so the cord isnt laying across the hallways and floors xd

Wireless signals suck, no matter what system it is (except for the DS, but that using such little power it doesn't matter)
Always try yo use a wire when you can, if you can't then try to optimize the signal like don't be a room surrounded by concrete since that Wi-Fi signals don't travel well through them. And choose a wireless signal that's close.
People with problems usually aren't doing something right.

I moved the ps3 to the room with the router and hooked it up with an ethernet cord and it work much much better.... now i guess i'll just have to by a long cord and figure out how i want to feed the cord through the house xp i don't know why i didn't think about using a cord myself since thats what i had to do with my old computer. sweatdrop

A lot of times I see people choosing wireless just for the convenience of being able to go "anywhere" in the house. I'm sure you can find a way to get a long wire through your home.
