all 3 of my campaigns use the same world, which is rather... strange.

ok, the world is mostly covered by 1 big ocean, except for 2 continents and 2 poles. the continents are each shaped like a cresent moon and are joined together at the points by swamps, marshes and bogs. in the middle is a lake called the lake of sorrows. there are 2 darfellan communities at the edges, and a great dragon which i will go into more detail when it is necessary. the northern continent is oriental and named orenta, the southern continent is medieval european and named medevia. the south pole is a massive ice cap, the location of my icy campaign, the north pole is an enormous desert with a massive roiling sandstorm at the core, the location of my desert campaign. my watery campaign begins at the southernmost edge of the lake of sorrows.

the desert needs a little more describing.

on the outer rim of the desrt is warm to hot plains, frequented by barbarian tribes and settler villages, port towns e.t.c. As you travel further in you enter the salt cracks, flat, dry, mud and salt for miles around, frequented by cracks from the searing sun above. Then comes the classic desert right in the middle. Sands and fire.
