Kisun was seldom disappointed. Life was now, and now was just grand. The late afternoon sun was still warm against the earth, a scattering of clouds passed shadows over the ground. Worrying about things didn’t change anything anyway. So she’d ‘forgotten’ the past. Might as well have fun right now.
For instance, she might find a butterfly in one of these flowers. Pausing, the hare sniffed at the blooms with some degree of interest, sampling a leaf here and there out of idle curiosity to the taste more than hunger. Butterfly tag was a game she adored. But she didn't see any butterflies in these flowers. Not yet anyways. Surely there had to be one around here somewhere or another though! She refused to give up on the game she wanted.
But, if there were no butterflies soon, maybe she’d chase cloud shadows instead. If the fancy took her.

Najla had wandered a little ways away from the dens today - just wanting to sit by herself and think. All of the things she and Asim had talked about earlier had made her mind whirl a little. She felt like she needed some time to get it all straight in her head.
Sighing softly, the little cub plopped down on a rock and frowned slightly in concentration. It was odd for one so young as she to be thinking on something this hard... but she needed to figure it out. Or it was going to bother her for a long time.

It was like the butterflies knew she was coming or something. But then, if they knew she was here, why on earth would they not be? How could anyone, or anything, turn down having some fun? No one that's who! It was impossible!
When the hare paused to reflect on this bizzare circumstance she just happened to catch a glimpse of something pale and moving from the corner of her eye. Intrigued by impulse, she turned and looked in the direction, discovering to her delight that the movement had been a cub. A precautionary glance did not show there to be a larger and potentially hungry parent about, and with no further thought to the matter Kisun bounded up to the little one.
"Hello there," she said cheerily, rising up on her hindpaws as she studied her newest young-but-not-so-little friend. That anyone, particularly a cub, would rather sit and think than play...impossible!

Najla blinked at the sudden voice, as the cheery tone of it yanked her out of her thoughts. Oh ... it was a hare! But ... weren't they supposed to eat hares? Why would one just come up and suddenly start talking to her? Confused, the little cub blinked again, but finally replied. "Hello..."
After all, she wasn't really hungry right now, and she doubted that she'd be able to catch the hare even if she was. Plus, it seemed wrong to eat someone when they'd just said hello to you.

She was kind of quiet, for a lion cub. But that was okay. Not being eaten was always okay. But being chased could be fun. It could be like tag! Only more...exciting.
"My name is Kisun," she announced at the cub's quiet hello. Was she shy? Sometimes cubs weren't supposed to talk to strangers. But! Now she wasn't a stranger! Nope! Now she was a Kisun! Introductions made a world of difference, didn't they? Yup. They sure did.
Besides, a hare like here wasn't the sort of stranger most parents would warn about. The cub was about as big as she was, at least.
"What's your name?" the hare asked, grinning, "Do you want to play a game?"

At the hare's friendly manner, Najla seemed to get a bit more confident, smiling at the other. "A game..? That would be fun," she said - voice still soft. She just... tended to speak quietly, and be serious a lot of the time. But she was still a cub.
"I'm Najla."

"Ahh, I see. Well, it's nice to meet you Najla!" Kisun bounced slightly, somehow seeing the cub just sitting there made her feel more and more wound up. "What do you like to play? Or do? What do you like to do? Run? Hide? Find things?" Sometimes cubs were a bit new to the 'playing' thing, so it was easier to just ask what they liked a pick a game from there. Or make a game. Making games was terrific fun.
"Well?"

Najla flushed just slightly at all of the questions, but kept smiling. After all, this hare seemed like she just wanted to be friends. "Well ..." she said slowly, after a moment. "All of those things are fun, I guess. But ... I'd like to help others too. I think." That would be good, right? If her dreams meant something, maybe she could use them to help somehow.
