Besides being bedridden, feeling like an invalid and pretty much feeling bored most of the time, 'That Blasted Cast' had also gave Eve some other problems, and one of them was that she couldn't dance. She couldn't practice, and for someone that was on the Crystal dance troupe, that wasn't a good thing. At least she wasn't one of those girls that were in Crystal because of a scholarship, she would have been kicked out immediately, like how one of the other dancers had recently been. It was rather sad really, and now Eve sympathized, though she was determined to get back into shape. It wouldn't be good if she was rusty with her steps when she attended practice again, and Eve had no desire to be scolded about that.
She was making her way to Destiny City Center for the Arts to practice. It would probably have been better to do it in Crystal Academy, but Eve wanted to practice alone.
That was when she passed by the arcade.
Eve Summers abruptly stopped. She remembered those days of boredom at the hospital (which had seemed like forever) and unconsciously made her way towards the arcade. A few games wouldn't hurt, right? Just a few... As she looked around, her eyes settled on the Dance Dance Revolution machine and grinned. Perfect.

Unfortunately for one Miss Eve Summers, a tiny girl was already occupying at least one of the machines. In fact, as soon as said girl had seen Eve's eyes land on the DDR machine, she'd puffed herself up, one hand planting itself on her hip while the other lifted to point directly at the blonde. "You! Yes, you there!"
No, she didn't care if people were staring, thank you very much.
"DDR is always better with someone else." She said simply enough, like it was something everyone should know. "Besides, you're small and cute, you should be able to move fast!"
The way she said that though had her eyes sparking, like this was some sort of personal challenge. It probably was. "Anyway, I'm Dan, and I'll let you pick what song you wanna dance to." Because Eve no longer had a choice in the matter! Besides, it would be fun, and the girl had already hopped back up on the machine, practically vibrating with eagerness. Oh, quarters! She'd left a few near the screen, scooping them up now and inserting two into the machine, which promptly lit up and made loud noises, as though happily proclaiming it had been fed.

It was alright, really. Fortunately for Dan, Eve was one of those people who would only happily oblige without any protest, and not one of the many that would stare at her strangely and just edge away. To tell the truth, Eve had stared at the blue-haired girl for a while and a grin slowly spread on her face. Why not? Dancing with another person would be better after all. Doing anything alone was boring. Especially something like games! Perhaps one day she would have to gather a group of friends and come to the arcade. Maybe even their senshi group... though Delphine might ask what the point of this was. Eve thought they needed to bond, anyway. She liked most of the people in their team, but they really needed to work together more actively.
"I'm Eve." She said, hopping up on the platform besides Dan with eyes as bright as the other girl's. "Any song recommendations?" She honestly didn't know exactly what to pick, as she pushed in two quarters of her own, a foot tapping away on the right button to flip through the songs. Hey, she wasn't as experienced as Dan seemed to be and Eve didn't mind admitting that.

Eve! She'd remember that, but she was distracted when she was asked her worthy opinion about what some good songs were. "Well, there's always Healing Vision--but that's a little rough, so if you aren't experienced, I'll go easy on you!" Never mind she could never successfully complete that song even on easy mode, but that was her little secret.
"There's Sandstorm, Japan, Butterfly," She ticked them off on her fingers, looking thoughtful. "Those are all fun." Dan eagerly grabbed the bar in front of her, letting her fingers flex against it. "Whatever you'd like to do, Eve! I can take it." She was ready--she'd been born ready for this day.
There was never a DDR machine that Dana McZeal had shied away from.

The girl was mesmerized momentarily by the colors on the screen and the loud music, though as Dan talked, she switched her attention to the bluenette. "I've never really played this before." She confessed. As the other listed the songs, she furrowed her brow in thought, making a mental note of the songs. "I've heard of Butterfly before, so let's do that?" She scrolled through some songs before finding the one she was looking for and flashed Dan a grin, ready to hit the select button when the other was ready.
This was honestly rather exciting, and people were starting to gather in curiosity to watch them dance. The crowd would certainly not be disappointed.

The more people that gathered around them, the more Miss Dana Mczeal seemed to swell. Let them come watch! She'd give them a show they wouldn't forget! "All right!" Dan agreed and nodded determinedly, stretching some as though about to undergo a strenuous work out. DDR was very, very serious. A thumbs up would be offered to the girl, and once the button was pressed, Dan sprang onto the arrows as though they were her life force. What she lacked in grace, she made up with in enthusiasm, though her feet did occasionally slip out from underneath her and had her stumbling and pinwheeling her arms like a crazy person.
But she never went down, which made her good, right?

Eve was pretty good, for a beginner, although she did stumble and hit buttons too late occasionally. The arrows were sometimes pretty confusing as they rolled up on the screen, but it was not bad, really. Plus, the song was really catchy, and it was a familiar one.
Once the song ended and the points racked up on the screen, people clapped, and Eve threw Dan a breathless smile, having caught glimpses of the other's moves on her own machine. "You're good." She commented, brushing a stray lock of hair out of her bright eyes. It was obvious she was rather experienced.

She was a little out of breath by the time they were done, but Dana was beaming with pride from the applause and the compliment. "Thanks! You aren't bad either! When I was a beginner, I fell over a lot!" And clearly she didn't anymore, because she was amazing. Mostly.
That was about the time her phone alarm went off, and Dana's eyes went wide with alarm. Shoot. She had to get home now, or her mom was gonna kill her!
"Sorry, Eve!" She babbled, grabbing her stuff in a rush. "I gotta go! We'll dance again later, okay?!"
And off she went, racing out of the arcade as fast as her legs could carry her.
