The day was starting anew in a little place that was quiet, out of the way, and lonely. Leaves rustled as a playful wind blew through. The water of the small lake nearby was lapping at the bank's edge in a slow and calming rhythm. Solstice was lazing in a tree next to the lake, the water's sounds were like a lullaby that was making it so hard for him wake up to start his day. His ears twitched at the sounds of small birds flitting by and chirping. A small groan rose from his muzzle as he began to stretch out his legs, only to let them drape back down over the side of the branch. A chilly wind came rushing through the trees and gave him a pleasant chill, as if it was encouraging him to wake. Slowly, his eyes fluttered open and he looked around "his" hide-a-way to see if the new day brought anything interesting.

The penetrating chill of the wind tossed about the leaves that once lay lightly upon the earth. Grass captured the energy of the breeze in its tendrils and swayed ever so suddenly with each gust. Delphi padded along the shore of the large lake that sat westward from the town where The Lucky Noodle shop resided. She'd flown here to clear her head, and the cold air was doing just that. The Goddess herself barely felt cold, everything was some shade of warm- it came along with being a patron goddess of things like fire. In a smooth flurry of motion, the Goddess took off and glided over the lake, enormous cream-colored wings filling with the gusts of air that the wind threw off the lake surface. She spiraled upwards until the whole of the lake could be seen from where she flew.
Delphi let go a sigh at the beauty of the landscape below her and made a quick decision to have a bit of fun. She pointed downwards and brought her wings to her flanks, diving to the lake below. The water grew closer in flashes and she could feel the thrill of the fall as gravity played tricks on her insides. Just as the surface of the lake came close enough she opened her wings to their full glory, skating the lake with such nearness that her copper colored paws disturbed the smooth surface. Delphi laughed joyfully and with the speed the sheer momentum gave her, was at the lake shore and landing daintily on the soft sand, still grinning.

Solstice had caught the goddess' show of her challenging the wind, gravity, and water. A small smile crept over his face at her playfulness and he just knew he had to meet her. He never really got the chance to really meet many foxes about and she looked like one he just had to know. He watched her step lightly on the sand, leaving her mark as she went along the beach. The sun glistened on her beautiful, fiery coat and her gems just sparkled like the sun. So intrigued that he couldn't take it no more, Solstice slid himself off the branch and landed on his feet with a thud. The tree shook a bit and some leaves came loose and slowly began descending, twirling and dancing through the air towards the ground . He "kissed" them with is frosty breath and they gracefully continued their fall with a new found glisten.

Delphi lifted her paw from the sand, full of the minute little granules of weathered stone, letting the grains fall like time. It was, indeed, a magnificent day, the goddess reckoned. As she folded her wings to her side the fiery goddess paused as something not quite warm brushed her flank. It felt like a breath full of ice as the chill touched her and lingered, seeming to increase in such a soft way that she knew its source neared. Delphi turned and was not quite startled to garner a look at a rather spry looking off-white god landed upon the earth from his perch. He was startlingly like ice indeed, for his form was absolutely crystalline and as sharp as the element he portrayed. A cool mist hovered around the being, very much like splashes of water upon glass and the only thing that softened the deity's handsome form.
"Beautiful day, is it not?" Delphi inquired as she made her way towards the icy winterking. Her sunset hued tail trailed behind her like the ends of a gown.

Solstice glanced at her from the corner of his eye as he played with the leaves that were still falling to the ground, a smirk spread over his face. Turning towards the ember-like goddess he nodded. "Quite the beautiful day indeed~" Slowly taking a couple steps towards her he tilted his head slightly and asked "What's a lovely lady such as yourself doing in a lonely place such as this?" He fluffed up his feathers a bit and stretched his wings while yawning. Tucking his wings back next to his sides he appologized. "Please pardon the yawn. I just woke up."
