The news had spread faster then any wildfire.

There was a cute girl on campus

Boys in class were edging towards the windows, boys on break hid in cracks and corners, all were looking at the lone bluenette that seemed to have wandered into the hell hole that was Hillworth.
A few boys were brave enough to make a cat call, and some were even so bold as to walk by her, (Oh god guys she smelt like sunshine and flowers and girly!). Overall, the young male populace of Hillworth had become fascinated with the bluenette. It wasn't everyday a single girl just waltzed right onto campus.

The most bold was a Greg Mill, known for his less then persuasive attempts to get a girl friend. "Hey cutie, you lost? I can show you around if you like. We'll have lots of fun, you and me. I-"
"GREG. I AM GOING TO RIP YOU A NEW HOLE. THOSE TEST ANSWERS WERE FAKE!"
Where as Greg was focused on the girl, Elzo was focused on Greg, and for less then plesant reasons.
"SHI-" Unable to remain near the girl, Greg was running, and Elzo was after him.

At least for a while.

"Oh." Elzo stopped mid-stride, Greg the false test answer giving already hiding. "Audrey right? What you doing here at Hillworth for?"

Hillworth was annoying. Hillworth was irritating. Hillworth was so chock-full of testosterone it was a wonder that more than half the campus wasn't sucking sausage every night. But judging from the whistles Audrey Collins got when she wandered onto the campus, they were all straight as a ruler. Unfortunately. The boys' school was structured to give them more learning and less free time, so if timed wrong, she tended to walk straight into class hours and a great deal of attention.

Thankfully, she'd decided to change out of her uniform on the way over, and wore only a pair of black leggings tucked into black knee-high boots and her favorite blue coat, tied at the waist. Nothing alluring, though the soft mid-thigh sweater in teal underneath was decidedly feminine. Not that they could see that. Audrey was even preparing to deliver a swift kick to the ego of the boy approaching her, and even in more sensitive places if need-be, when her name was heard.

"Elzo? It is Elzo, right?" Flushing with surprise and her forgetfulness of his name, she tucked her hands into her pockets as balled little fists of embarrassment. "I'm surprised you recognized me, now that my hair's back to normal and all." The bright teal ribbon atop her head flopped as she tilted her head almost straight to the side, letting the curls fall forward.

"Oh god, Xanis." "Well ******** all now. He'll drive her off soon enough." "Damn it. I was hoping to at least get a shot at her." The grumblings of some Hillworth boys hung about, knowing all about Elzo's usual dealing with girls and how they ended.

The Crystal incident was pretty popular news for a while after all.

"Yup. Elzo Xanis at your command." The Xanis grin was already on his face. After all, their last encounter had been short and a bit rushed. Not to mention that it had ended with Elzo's discovery that Khaldun, Killingworth's b*****d offspring, was dating. Mind blowing.
"I never forget a pretty face, besides, the pink was cute. But, even I've got to admit, the blue is much nicer." It was also a reminder of- No.
Bad Elzo.
Bad. Do not go there.
"Uh, well. So you here to visit someone? Or..." heck, why was she here? "I mean, it's just that we don't get many visitors here. Especially girls. Um..." Elzo didn't know what to really talk about. "Sorry. Dunno what to say other that it's nice to see you again."
PostPosted: Wed Jan 27, 2010 3:04 pm

Audrey's shoulder's slumped a bit at the mention of her violently pink hair being even remotely attractive. It was nice to know she could look good in any situation, but still. PINK? Shaking her head, she smiled gratefully. "The pink was a total prank, this is my natural color." As unbelievable as that was, it was truth.

And then, she remembered. Remembered how Khaldun had snapped angrily at the boy, hauled her off like a naughty child, and proceeded to yell at her like Charonite after a particularly nasty loss. She wasn't sure what to think about Khal's parentage or his relation to Killingworth, but the similarities were sometimes astounding. Not that it mattered anymore. "Oh uhm...I'm looking for Drew. Ah, Mr. Collins? I was supposed to talk to him earlier in the week but he's been hiding. Otherwise, I wouldn't come here at all, it's kinda dangerous. Especially since Khal and I broke up I uhm...don't really want to run into him." Total lie, but she couldn't think up any polite reason to otherwise avoid the school.

Hillworth didn't scare her like it did other nice girls, simply because if she really needed to, she could lure the boy alone and take his star seed. But she couldn't very well tell Elzo that. "I'm sorry to have gotten in the way of your revenge, but I'm glad to have run into you again too. I'm still sorry about the flowers, I should make it up to you some time." What?

"Mr. Collins? Ughhhh." Elzo had no love for the assistant gym teacher. No Hillworth student did really. "He'd either be in his office, or, out on the field chasing down some poor slow running freshman with a towel. The man is a demon possessed." He looked out at the field, and from his vision, there was no tall red head chasing down some poor student. "Makes me glad I used to be on track."

Wait wha- "You broke up. With Khaldun? Khaldun Cilentani? No wonder you wouldn't want to be seen around here. But, I haven't really seen him, so, whatever." No Khaldun meant she was single. Single meant Elzo could flirt. Flirting meant he could well, flirt. "Don't worry about my revenge. Greg is a dumbass. He'll forget sooner or later that I'm looking for him and come out of whatever rat hole he's stuck himself in. As for the flowers..." Rubbing his chin, Elzo pretended to think. This was not a difficult task for him.
"Well, I'll just have to get you some more another time. But, anyway, want me to walk with you? That way we can talk and if I get pulled over by some uptight hall monitor I can say I'm escorting you." He held out an arm. "Will you accept my escort dear lady, until you reach the residency of Mr. Collins?"
PostPosted: Wed Jan 27, 2010 3:32 pm

Though she'd put the finger on where she'd seen the light-haired boy before, there was still something unsettlingly familiar about Elzo. Looking up as he snorted in disgust over Drew, she decided it must have been his eye color. They were almost the same blue as well...as his. Almost, but not quite the same. Jeezus Audrey, pull yourself together. You are not pining over a god damn senshi. Pining and thinking about him when you have another nice boy? ******** pathetic.

She opened her mouth to answer that Drew was indeed a bit of a jerk, but she liked him well enough, when he stammered over the idea of her breaking up with Khal. Really, it had shocked her initially, especially since he was avoiding her now. "Yeah he's uhm, well he's not really into school right now." That was a safe way to put it. "Not really into anything, including me I guess." Shrugging carelessly, she blushed at the arm that appeared in her view, making her feel even dumber. He probably thought she was pining over the lieutenant or something, which was absolutely not remotely true and she wasn't going to foster the idea.

Lightly, she hooked her arms through his and beamed up, honey eyes into ocean blue ones. "Sure, if you promise to walk slow. If Drew's got his hands on some poor tool he won't be happy at all to see me. I'm afraid I'm not as fun as torture." Few things were, to Andrew Collins.

"Khaldun's always been the odd guy out in class. Granted, we don't talk to each other, but he's not a guy I would expect to take much of an interest in anything."

Wait for it.

"You're probably to good for him anyway. The guy's just...odd." Well, his first flirt aside, the duo were headed to the first stop, Collin's office. In a way, Elzo was REALLY hoping that the guy was off work or just somewhere far, far away. Because, the more time Elzo got to spend with Audrey, the better. She was nice. And from the fact she wasn't here to go after her ex was nicer. The fact she wasn't running off? Nicest.

"So...mind telling me why a girl like you is going to see Mr. Collins? I mean, from the way you're talking about him...it sounds like you know him well? You family or-" Elzo let the question die. She had to be family. That was the only explanation. Wait if she was his family then-
"I mean, you can't really be related to that slave drive can you?"

"Right?"
PostPosted: Wed Jan 27, 2010 8:23 pm

"He's not really odd, he's just a jerk. Hard to have normal social interactions when you're a ridiculous jerkbag. He's fun though, when you're with a bunch of morons and want to have a little game of it." She said this almost absently, eying the hall up and down around Elzo's tall frame. Audrey was often aware of how tiny she was, but not so much at Meadowview as she did at this very moment. Elzo must've been over six feet tall, and not too scrawny to boot.

Knocking on the door as her escort rambled on, she got no answer, and tried the knob. For some reason, it was unlocked. Though really, who would steal from the detention master? He'd just make the whole school sweat and bleed the value of what was taken until it was returned or evened out. Drew was practical like that, really. Peering into the office, it was dim and looked like it'd been unused for a few days, causing the bluenette's worry to rise and heart to sink. Where was he?

At the almost-desperate sounding question, Audrey simply raised an eyebrow teasingly. "Audrey Collins was all she said, before crooking her finger. "Mind helping me find something?" The teen held the door, before shutting it behind the boy. "And if you can keep a secret, I'll tell you." She didn't tell many, and figured Elzo was a nice enough guy that he might possibly be trusted. Maybe.

Oh god was he walking into Collins's office of his own free will? Yes, yes he was. What ******** up dimension was he in? Oh, the one with a cute bluenette that wasn't a negaverse agent. Stranger things have happened though. Just stick with it.

"Do you really think we should be in here?" The office was clearly empty, (thank god), and it seemed utterly devoid of any recent visitations. "I mean, do you REALLY think we should just...waltz in and- Oh my god you ARE related to him? s**t, I am sorry. Like, really, to be related to him must be utter-" Oh god did she just lock the door? "Did you just lock the door?" She just locked the door. Oh god this was like the beginning of some of his less then acceptable movies and-

Bad.
Thoughts.

Thinking of Nealite, (oh Nealite!) Elzo quelled his emotions. Thank god he had some one he hated so deeply they could distract him not matter what. "Um...Yeah. What are you looking for? Because...if we get caught and I piss of Collins I might as well make something of it you know?"

Boys really were all the same. Audrey had learned a thing or two, first from books, then movies, and then her time screwing around with Khal. Boys will do just about anything if you give them doe eyes while asking them to do it. Had she been in the mood, and not surrounded by a couple hundred boys she possibly could have had Elzo's seed in her hands by now. But he was fun to talk to, and made her feel interesting at the least. Deep down, as well, she hoped that this got back to Khal, and he felt something about it. The teen doubted it'd happen, but it was nice to dream!

"Actually, I was looking for an excuse. Now we can talk, you can get out of class by saying you were in Collins' office, and there's no real problem. Looks like Drew hasn't been here in a few days." The young voice was absolutely laden with disappointment on the last sentence, and she sank into the chair behind the desk. "No, I'm not related to Andrew Collins. Common misconception, that I encourage because nobody's going to mess with Drew Collins' kid cousin, or sister, or whatever they think I am." Reaching back, she adjusted her bow and smiled. "And if you tell anyone that, I will be forced to never speak to you again and possibly kill you. He's an...old friend, I guess you could say." As in, he was older than her.

Looking over, she was again struck by the feeling that she'd seen him somewhere else before. Possibly before they'd met? Well, she'd been to the school a few times on and off. "Though I'm sure my reputation is shot now. I hear the only girls that ever come around this school are floozies of the first water." She sneered slightly. "The secretary here probably encourages such trashy behavior, knowing her." Yep, Audrey really couldn't stand Ursula Johnson.

Well, well, well! Not a relative. Thank god, he was afraid for a minute there. A sigh of relief did escape his lips. There was a god, and it was smiling on Elzo this day. "Well, that works with me. Besides, it's economics. Easy and boring as hell." How was hell boring? Well, Hell was Hillworth and thus, boring.
"But, seriously, you have no idea how," Horrible, unbearable, tormenting? "Awkward it would be to have the hots for my teacher's little sister or something." Uh, did he just admit he had the hot for her? Yup. Smooth Elzo, way smooth.

"Um, well, that is...Your secret is safe with me." Herp de derp. Way to fail on the recovery.

New topic new topic new topic.
"Your reputation was pretty safe, most guy think I'm a f**, (WHICH I AM NOT), but..." He looked at the door. "No offense, you kind of just blew that notion. No worries though. I'm not one to try and lie about s**t like that." Elzo couldn't speak out against Ms. Johnson. At least. "She's marrying Killingworth, if you didn't hear. Freaky but, hey, if it makes her happy." He was sitting on the desk, careful not to knock anything over.

The hots? The hots?! While her face turned bright, posy pink, she was mentally cursing Castor and his hold on her weak little heart. Might've been nice to have another boyfriend, someone to take you places and make you feel all nice and pretty. And you know, make out with in places like a locked absent teacher's office. ******** Castor.

"Uhm...well ah...thanks...and uhm...as far as Miss Johnson is occurred, I'm afraid I'm forced to attend. I've had some interactions with the pair of them, and have been invited. I said I would attend before Khal and I broke things off and am going to have to well...you know. Babysit." The last word was flat, and her face was still glowing with embarrassment and pleasure at his ridiculous slip of the tongue.

"But...why would they think you're gay? I mean. Everyone thinks half this school is gay but you've always seemed fairly eager for my company. I doubt I'm anything special, just a girl so..." She trailed off, flustered again. Damn damn damn.

Manly pride swelled as her face went pinker then her previous hair color. "Babysit? Babysit Khaldun? Huh." Khaldun was a pretty independent guy from Elzo's perspective. the idea of him needing a babysitter was different to put it mildly. Still, it was probably due to the fact Killingworth was his supposed father and that would make Ms. Johnson his new- EW. No wonder the guy would need a babysitter. If Elzo was in his place he'd probably try to screw that marriage up too.

Gross thoughts of two teachers getting hitched thrown into the back of his mind, Elzo frowned at that question. "I hang out with my bro Simon. He's kinda a p***y and people think he's a f**. I do. But, because we hang together people think we're gay. That would be wrong. He's gay. I am straiter then an arrow." The part was obviously a term of endearment. A typical guy endearment.
"As for my being eager to spend my time with you..." 'Oh you have no idea' "I enjoy your company. And really, don't put yourself down like that. I'm still thinking that guys must kill for you. But...what ever happened to your Mr. Right? I know you were having a bit of a trouble between him and Khaldun, who I assume was the 'Mr. Right Now.'"
PostPosted: Wed Jan 27, 2010 9:36 pm

She wanted to tell him that it was more like guys got killed for spending time with her. Castor for one, and she was still mildly suspicious about what had happened after that time in the woods with Khal at BP....but that was so in the past. Gaining control of her blush and shoving it back down into the depths of her emotional bucket, she smiled and shook her head almost wryly.

"Well choosing between the two isn't so hard anymore, since Khal dumped me. But I'm afraid things aren't perfect, and I'm fairly single right now. It's just one of those things you want to work out so badly, but you know you're awful for each other so you don't do anything." It was really pathetic, but it was the closest thing she had to any real scenario. Telling him that they'd both be brutally murdered if she was even seen with her Mr. Right didn't seem like the best way to start off a friendship.

"What about you? As much as I enjoy flirting with you, I remember you saying something about a girl, vaguely." Whoops, blushing again, though for a wholly different reason. It was rare for Audrey to forget anything, let alone the juicy details of someone's love life. But well, she was a little caught up in herself that day, wasn't she?

"Oh." Elzo was happy she was single sure, but, even he wasn't so heartless to prey on a recent break up, at least, not overtly. The thought of having to drop your romantic interests due to complications was always a bummer. "But hey, there are better guys out there. Better then Killingworth's clone at least. Still, if your Mr.Right loved you, he'd want you to be happy. That's part of love isn't it?"

Elzo began to look around the desk as soon as her question of his love life came up. "Alright. Um, that is to say...we've had a bit of a falling out. I did deserve it though. Went off with another girl for a good time," a few girls at that, "nothing emotional, no real relationships, just...you know." Avoiding eye contact, Elzo was busy admiring the old file cabinets. Such a nice shade of gray. He still felt guilty about the whole ordeal. And saying you went and almost had sex with a coworker and then did have sex with some random chick was usually not very impressive to girls. Guys maybe, but definitely not girls.

"Fact is, I ******** up. One ******** up led to her getting reprimanded. We've patched things over a little but, I get the feeling she doesn't want to see me. Not that I don't deserve it. I mean...ARG" Elzo wanted to bang his head on the wall. "I just can't do anything right relationship wise it seems."
