Remy...was excited. He hadn't seen Kaikara in a long time, and now he was back and yaaaay. Hurrying through the bushes and such, Remy burst from the tree line and booked it across the field outside the city. Kai Kai Kai~
Slipping into an alleyway, Remy pranced down into the street and looked around, bouncing on his toes. "Kai?" he called hopefully, tail twitching excitedly. "Kaiiiii!" Okay not here, so....jogging down the street with his ears and tail perked, Remy turned the corner and began to weave through people's feet, sticking to one side. "Kaiiiiii! Where are yooou!"

Kaikara had been busy--between meeting her mother and her other siblings, she had been on the hunt for a territory that could actually deal with her...not that she'd looked very far.
Humming as she made her way through the market, she had flitting thoughts of where that little bobtail had gone..but Remy had a tendency to get himself into trouble, so she was just waiting to see if she ran across him in a tree or something again.
The hybrid perked her ears when she heard another cat's voice--it wasn't strange for her to run across siblings and such now, she had roughly seven or eight of them now..plus her dad, uncle, etc. So when she heard her name she merely paused in her steps and perked her ears more, looking in the direction of the calls. Hm. Turning towards the voice, she stepped past the humans, watching them walk around her rather than her having to weave between their legs and such. She'd picked up a reputation in the market apparently.

Huffing as he continued to walk down the sidewalk, Remy started to pout. Maybe Kai wasn't here. Stopping with a small pout, Remy moved to lean against a wall and crossed his arms across his chest with a sigh, rubbing at his scar absently. Okay, if she wasn't here, where else would she be...
The lake? Maybe. The park? Maybe maybe. She could be anywhere!
Letting out a small whine, Remy straightened and started to turn - before a set of markings caught his eyes. Those spots...
"Kai!" he squealed, running forward and all but tackling the female to the ground with a laugh, nuzzling at her face with a purr. "Kaiiiiiii~ I found you~"

She almost didn't recognize the b*****d--it had been a while, and he had grown some it seemed.
Keeping her footing as best she could, she grabbed onto him..and fell onto her rear with a grunt, her arms still wrapped around him as if he would have saved her from falling. But, she did drag him down with her.
Ears perking forward, she arched a brow and gave a light purr to the nuzzling, looking him over as best she could manage while he wiggled around and nuzzled at her. "Where the hell have you been?" Kai muttered, not sure if there were other cats around or not. Luckily they were close to the wall, so it either looked like a cat-fight or some kind of odd greeting--which it was, but humans didn't know that. "You disappeared.."

Laughing as they fell, Remy continued to nuzzle at her and hug her tightly. It felt so good to see her, even to smell her (as creepy as that was) as he nuzzled and pressed chaste kisses to her cheeks.
"I just...wandered," he admitted after a moment, laughing and rubbing the back of his neck. He had been tired of being the runt around here, been tired of not being able to rely on himself and always being the kitten...so now he wasn't. Well. He still was tiny and all that, but..."I came back though, I missed you."
Too sappy? Maybe.
"How have you been?" he asked excitedly, tugging on her hand insistently. He wanted to move to someplace quieter, but he didn't want to move at the same time.

Oh..he was kissing her. That was a little odd, almost too touchy, but she smiled despite herself at his comments.
"You're stupid," she laughed, reaching up to touch his hair affectionately. How could she be affectionate? It was a weird feeling, and she didn't feel all too comfortable with it..but it was kinda' nice.
He'd grown, too. Damn. The kitten wasn't so much a kitten anymore.
"I--am okay.." Pushing herself to stand, she let him take her hand and lead her away from the humans, who were glancing at them strangely now. When he didn't move, she tugged him into the alley that wasn't too far off from where they had previously been sitting. "You just wandered? That's it? You're lucky you didn't get killed with how clumsy you are," she'd never spoken up about it, even if she did call him a runt.

The affection didn't go unnoticed. Smiling widely, Remy nuzzled into her hand excitedly, his little tail wiggling happily as he squeezed her hand. "Just okay?" he asked curiously, cocking his head and following after her. "Why just okay?"
Keeping hold of her hand as they went into the alley, Remy smiled softly and gently swung their conjoined hands, thumb lightly stroking the back of her hand. "Yeah..." Oh the stories he had to tell, dear lord. "I almost died a couple times," he laughed, lifting his free hand to rub at the back of his neck sheepishly.
"But enough about me, tell me about you," he insisted, plopping down to sit on the ground, tugging on her hand insistently. "Something new must've happened, how many times did you breathe, what did you eat everyday I was gone? I want to know everything," Remy rambled, smiling brightly.
Was he being too obvious? Oh well.

He was a little creepy..and he'd always been kind of obvious. But she couldn't get over how much he'd matured in the month or so that he'd been gone, it was weird. Going from a runt to what he is now.
Sighing, she shook her head and brought her hands up defensively, "Breathing is a bit much. I'm just okay because I ran into my family," which would normally be a good thing, but... "My mother is already pregnant with her second litter..." It's like they'd just up and forgotten her, replacing their missing daughter with more children...she just didn't understand why they hadn't looked for her harder, even if her mother claimed that they never stopped searching for her.
She had yet to meet her father, but she'd run into her uncle and a few siblings so far. Not to terribly bad. Morph was the only one she felt really comfortable around, however.
"But it's fine, I'm glad you're okay..tell me how you almost died, hm?" Subject change. She was obviously calmer, not as aggressive...more willing to work on relationships rather than push them away.

"I'm just kidding, I don't need to know how many times you breathed," he murmured, smiling sheepishly. He was just excited okay? He didn't mean to be creepy...
Fidgeting with his pants, he listened quietly before looking up at her. "Well that's good right? The you found her?" He didn't know much - Kai didn't tell him anything when it came to herself - but he did know she missed her family and all that. So why wasn't she happy..? "And aren't you excited for new brothers and sisters?" he asked, smiling and reaching over to touch her hand questioningly.
Shrugging, he smiled and began fidgeting with his shoe. "Had trouble finding food, almost got hit by a couple cars, almost got in a fight with a bear..." he laughed, scratching the back of his neck with a sheepish laugh. "I eat meat now," he snorted. His vegetarianism didn't last long. Kind of sucked when he was fending for himself to just live off of berries and nuts...

"Ah--I guess," she shrugged a bit, "I dont know a lot of my family, so.." She barely knew her mom, and didn't really know if that was even her real mom or not. Kittens were stolen all the time, how would she know? It had been years.
"A bear..? Where the hell did you go?" Off into the forest to find himself or something? Geez. But at least he ate meat now, that was helpful when it came to street life...tons of rabbits, squirrels, rats, mice...what have you.
"Well, at least you survived," Kai gave a soft, uneasy laugh, "Why were you looking for me? You seemed pretty distressed," of course, she could tell he was attached--but not to the point that he might be. She didn't figure anyone could, as weird as it sounded, but Kaikara was...well, Kaikara. The b***h, the feral cat, the aggressive one. How a cute little runt like Remy could get attached to her, she had no idea. She didn't even have the instinct to go look for him when he disappeared, figuring he had found others who were kinder to him.

"You should get to know them," he hummed, leaning back against the wall, his tail wiggling happily. "Have a family picnic or something," he hummed, smiling softly at her. Maybe family would be good for her, maybe they'd be good to her, make her happy for once...
"Just...wandered," he said simply. "Explored the city, outskirts...all that. I donno. I just walked." Picking at his shoe, he shrugged again before looking up at her with a laugh. "I can't come find you just 'cuz?" he asked, shrugging.
Was that creepy too? Maybe.
"I just missed you, is all," he mumbled quietly, shifting on his butt and curling his knees up to his chest. Kaikara was his only friend, really. Wasn't it natural to miss your friend? Even though he was pretty sure Kai hadn't missed him, but that was okay. He didn't really expect her to or anything...

Oh. She hadn't meant to offend him--guess she needed to work on how she talked to people next, now that she'd found her family.
"Maybe," she said, replying about her family of course. Giving a small smile when he curled up like he did, obviously upset or..something..she reached up and ruffled his hair playfully.
"I missed you, too, I just figured you'd moved on. Dont get pouty, runt," even if he wasn't so much of a runt anymore... "I'm glad you're safe. Sounds like you had one hell of a time on your own."

Moved on? "You're my friend," he huffed, reaching up to fix his hair. "Of course I wouldn't just move on..."
Kai had missed him.
Kaikara had missed him.
Smiling giddily, Remy stayed still but continued to fidget with his shoe as he bit his lip. "I'm not pouty," he huffed, continuing to smile. Looking up at her, he leaned back to rest his head on the wall with a hum. "So..." Reaching over to touch her knee, he wiggled and looked up. "Anything new, other than finding your family?"

Now it was just getting painfully evident. The light touches, the soft voice, his expressions...so easy to read, and it was amusing, but kinda' sad at the same time.
Humming quietly in contemplation, she smirked and brought a hand up to take hold of his own, figuring she could cave...and wondered how long it would take for him to figure out that she had silently agreed to whatever his thoughts were on the two of them.
If she was wrong, well...here was an open invitation.
"No, nothing new...wandering to find a few other family members. Might go back to see my new brothers and sisters, depending on how I feel. And I'm supposed to go meet my uncle at some point since his mate is pregnant and he wants me to meet their kittens, as well." All family--all multiplying. So many babies and so much going on, she was a little freaked out to be part of the family now...
"Makes the motherly part of me wants kittens," she laughed, a little darkly, but whatever. "If I had a bigger motherly side to me I probably already would, but I dont." Evident enough that she liked guys, there?

Watching her take his hand, Remy swallowed and shifted again, his tail starting to wiggle happily. He really didn't mean anything by hs touches, his looks, the way he spoke...well okay, maybe he did, but. He didn't mean to be obvious. Hesitantly twining their fingers, Remy smiled and rested his elbow on one of his knees, propping his chin in his free hand as he examined her fingers curiously.
"You have a big family, huh?" he laughed. "That's good. I'm glad you found them, Kai." About time she had someone to make her happy, and the number one person to usually do that was family right?
At the mention of kittens, he laughed and shook his head, sitting up straighter. "You don't want to be a mom..?" Could lesbians be moms? Did they have motherly sides? Well they were still girls so..."I bet you could like, adopt some kittens or something..." he mused, running the pad of his thumb along the back of her hand.
