For the past few months near the town of Azela, the bug pokemon have been very...edgy. Sometimes flying into the town at random and attacking random people. So far, no one knows why this is happening until the gym leader Bugsy journey into the nearby forests to find that a war had broken out between the beedrill and the combee. And it looks like all the other bug pokemon have been caught in between
It appears that the town is looking for extra trainers to help calm the people down.

Johto was always a nice place to visit in Blade's opinion. As he traveled about, he had heard a few things regarding Azela's bug problem. There was something about a war between beedrill and combee, which sounded fairly bizarre in the thief's mind. What they could be warring about was anyone's guess.
As he was nearby anyway, he came into the town to grab a few things he needed for travel. It was then that he heard more things about the situation at hand, and while it sounded as if the people there could use some help, he wasn't entirely certain if he should get involved. It really wouldn't take a whole lot for him to take on a bunch of bug types. But there was a fairly decent chance he'd ignite the forest while he was at it.
Either way it would probably be wise to not let his Eevee out for awhile. The poor thing still had quite a phobia of fire; something he hadn't been able to break the pokemon of yet. Because of it, there had been several... difficulties with dealing with it.

"one day, I'm going to get myself a flying type..." poke mumbled while jumping off the bus at the front of Azela town. It wasn't that taking the bus was a bad thing, it was taking a bus after taking a boat ride after taking a plane trip. Once she was off, she let Aloura out of her pokeball to give the pokemon some fresh air.
"much better" the pokemon complimented while shaking out her fur.
"Now...to find these bug pokemon" poke took a quick glance around to see if she could spot any pokemon in the area, but she saw someone else instead. "Ah! blade your hear too?" she asked before pausing...and then started to snicker.

It wasn't long after he had entered Azela that he heard a familiar voice from behind. Glancing over his shoulder he soon saw Poke standing not far behind. He waved to her, then looked around to see if there were any other faces he knew. As far as he could see there weren't any.
"Yeah. Decided to see what was going on around here and pick up some supplies," he replied before raising an eyebrow, "What's so funny?"
Soon after asking this, he went ahead and released one of his pokemon to let it stretch its legs. The Houndour stretched for a moment or two, then looked over at the other pokemon that was nearby. Cerberus took a few sniffs in Aloura's direction before looking around to get a better feel of his surroundings.

Aloura took one look at the houdour and then stiffened, backing away and seeking shelter behind poke. She knew houndours could be quite aggressive when they wanted to. Thankfully it hadn't evolved yet.
Meanwhile poke was still snickering, and then stoped. "Well, considering that your pokemon team is full of fire types, I'd say you could proably take down the whole area!" she laughed at this "stilll, try to hold back a little, so I can take a few down myself, right Aloura? ...Aloura?" she looked behind at her pokemon as she hid.

Cerberus, seeing the other Pokemon hide behind its trainer, let out a snort of disapproval. At the same time, it boosted his ego a bit, knowing that he might be a little intimidating to others. Though, he soon just shook his head before sitting down by his own trainer's feet.
"Heh, that's true. Which is kinda why I'm a little uncertain if I should really get involved. I get enough trouble from authorities without having to add 'burnt down half the forest' to the list," he said with a hint of bitterness.
It probably wouldn't take a whole lot for him and his team to wreck havok on the area after all. And most likely, the local gym leader here would not be all too pleased with those results.
"If I don't go, if you want I can lend you one of my pokemon however."

"ahh...well I didn't mean it that[ way..." poke watched blade with a bit of concern. "I doubt you could burn down a hole forest...and besides bug pokemon aren't defenseless..."
as she was saying this, she heard a shout, and looked behind her. In the distance she could see a few beedrill were flying overhead towards the town, with some of the locals scattering.
"heh heh, it looks like the pokemon have decided to come to us!" poke called out "ready aloura?"
"I...think so...." the eevee looked at the sky as the beedril came ever so closer, their spears looking very threatening to the pokemon

"If a dropped lit cigarette can cause a huge forest fire, just imagine what a group of fire pokemon can do," he replied with a shrug. Blade knew the bug pokemon weren't defenseless, but they weren't the only ones put in danger if the area goes ablaze. Then, hearing the shout as well, he turned and saw several beedrill coming in their general direction.
"Looks like we're getting pulled into this either way," he muttered before looking down at Cerberus. Though the dog wasn't as experienced as most of the others he had with him currently, he figured he would be enough for the time being.
"Alright Cerberus, hit the closest one with an ember!"
"Bout time some I got to see some action," growled the pokemon while jumping to his feet and staring at the incoming bug types. Then, as he was ordered, he opened his mouth and spewed out a fireball to send at one of the beedrill.

Eienna had already been hanging out in Johto, having found a temporary job in the area collecting herbs for potions. She ducked and hid as the Beedrills swarmed past overhead. She'd been working in too remote of an area to have heard much about the conflict, and it sparked her interest. She began to follow them at a cautious distance, trying to mentally list out her Pokemon. It wasn't working very well; it'd take her a minute.

The beedrill weren't impressed with the sudden attack, especially since it seemed to damage one of their comrades. At once the pokemon began to swarm around cerberus and blade, releasing pin missle attacks.
"crap, lets try and get their attention Aloura" poke said to her pokemon. "use a growl"
"I'll try..." Aloura looked up at the beedrill and, jumping forward, squeaked out her attack. At first they didn't seem to hear untill two of them looked her way and started firing pin missiles at her, which caused her to scamper back to poke's side

Having aggro'd the swarm, Blade gritted his teeth while watching the beedrill come at them. The whole lot of them would be a little too much for Cerberus to handle alone, especially since he really only knew ember as far as fire attacks went.
"Watch out!" he warned as he ran to the side to avoid the bulk of the pin missile attack. A few needles struck him here and there still, but it could have been much worse.
Cerberus wasn't quite as fortunate for getting out of the way. Growling as several of the pins sank into his body, he stared down the bees and awaited his next order. Briefly, he glanced over at Aloura as the eevee seemed to like to huddle near its trainer.
"Wimp..." he muttered under his breath.
The thief was a little hesitant on using his own abilities to combat the beedrill as there were several others around. Some of the responses he received after such a display were not always that pleasant to experience so he tended to try and keep from using his own fire in public. That didn't stop him from releasing a second pokemon to back them up. Soon enough an Arcanine stood before him and it didn't take Garm long to realize what was going on around here.

Agh, the one day Coty isn't with me. She thought of the two experimental Pikachus, but they weren't strong enough. They didn't know her well yet, either, and only God knew what would happen if they got needled. That left....well, there was her Growlithe, but he was still quite young. Charlie was useless in this situation. Not the Meowth, either. Her collection had grown so quickly that she was left unsure of what she even had. She couldn't send Aithne; the Eevee was not nearly ready. What to do? Eienna mentally smacked herself for not bringing stronger individuals, but this was supposed to be her break! All right, she'd have to bring out the Growlithe. It was the only option she could come up with. "Florin! I choose you!" He popped out of the ball and they took off after the swarm, Eienna briefing him on the situation. After a moment, the sight of Blade's Arcanine sent them skidding to a halt.

Being beedrill, they tended to keep attacking untill whatever threat they perceive is gone. When Garm was released, they perceived the arcanine to be a rather larger threat then the houndour so all attention was directed to the pokemon. They began to zoom in on the pokemon with their twineedle attacks.
Meanwhile, a few of the beedrill had decided to try and tackle something much smaller than the arcanine. Two of them were still watching poke and aloura.
"Hey!" she called out when she heard the houdour. "I'm not a wimp..." Again she stepped out towards the beedrill, then looked at poke worriedly. "Umm...what should I do?"
"lets stick with a sand attack for now, so we can prevent them from attacking us" poke told her pokemon. Aloura nodded then, turning around she began to kick up the dirt with her back legs. The beedrill weren't impressed, of course, and launched some more pin missile attacks, this time successful in hitting her
"Aloura!" poke ran to the eevees side. "you okay?"
Meanwhile, two more pokemon had noticed Eienna had appeared on the scene, and decided to go take her out by shooting her and her pokemon with pin missile attacks. It seemed to be their favorite attack to use today....

Cerberus was somewhat grateful that he was no longer the target of the attack, but at the same time he felt a bit disgruntled. Sure Garm was... considerably larger than him but it didn't make him any less threatening than the Arcanine! Then, hearing Aloura respond, he meerly snorted, not really believing the Eevee.
"Garm, give them a taste of your flamethrower!" ordered Blade as he hopped back. The beedrill were being pretty relentless, but they couldn't back down at this point. Off in the distance, he saw some other movement, noticing it was Einna and a growlith headed in their direction.
As a number of pin missiles struck him, Garm gave a low growl. Each one didn't hurt him a whole lot individually but the constant stream of needles stung some.
"Alright, come and get some!" he shouted before using flamethrower.

"OW!!" Eienna stifled a bad word as the needles hit her. She hated Beedrills anyway, and this was ridiculous. "Florin! Ember, NOW! Watch the trees!" Wait, that's it! Smoke! She glanced around hurriedly to see if there was a fallen tree a safe distance from the others. Smoke calms bees down. It should work on these guys, too. There! But it's too far away... She couldn't remember Blade's name so she made do. "Hey! Can you reach that deadfall? Make it smoke!" She hoped Florin was OK, but she had to cover her eyes as they launched a second volley. She didn't know he was headed towards the Arcanine, and getting a little singed....
