my avies nearly always tell a story. As i create them, they evolve into a character of sorts usually. I like for people to view them and feel like they have met someone new. So for most of my Avies, the write up is just as important to me as the avi itself. On rare occasions (like today) I will make an avi that is an interpretation of a song, or a peice of art but that is rare.
Color theme is important to me too, but as an artist, i enjoy usuing various shades of the same hue. Neurotic obsessive matching makes me crazy. And i never let matching dictate the direction one of my creations should go. Matching is merely ONE element in art. I feel that balance,flow and continuity are as important if not MORE important than matching.
