Personality: Unfailingly polite, Dyran delivers insults, praise, and other pronouncements in a calm and even voice, which tends to make people actually listen to what he's saying rather than relying on tone of voice to convey his meaning. While holding himself aloof and apart from the household (minus Elena), Dyran does care deeply about Jerava and the rest of his adopted siblings.
Elena is, other than Jerava herself, the person Dyran is closest too. Elena's tutor, watcher, and 'older brother', Dyran is largely responsible for the refinement of Elena's personality and conduct. Whether this is a good thing or not is still debatable.
