It had certainly been a while since Gekigami wandered out of the little forest retreat he called home. He was hoping to meet some other Fa'e, but so far his efforts were in vain. Perhaps they were all still in their little forest retreats or wherever they considered home. He was just desperate for some kinship; any kind, really.
For several weeks he hid in bushes and at the tops of trees, gathering information about where he could potentially meet others. Many Kitsus spoke of this "HQ", and as he saw many gathered there as well. So far, though, he hadn't seen any with those familiar wing-ears and branches.
Today he was feeling rather adventurous. Perhaps the others were shy, or were waiting to see another first before coming out. So, the tiger-stripped Kitsu slowly made his way toward the HQ. His senses were at its peak, watching out for any Fa'e, or rather, just any Kitsu in general.

How long had it been since Meritamon had left her comfy cave in the Mystic Grove? A long time, a voice in her soul told her. She padded out of her 'comfort' zone and sighed contently when the sun's warming rays covered her body. She awoke her muscles, scrunching up tight like an accordion, and then elongating her body. The tingling sensation sent a shiver through her body.
Better get down to business, she told herself. The human that guarded the property her grove was on, had told her socialization was a good thing, and to go explore every now and again. Perhaps the strange human was right. There were no others like her, in the grove. And she wanted to ask others questions of their species. Meritamon had a passion for fire, she could create and control the element. To a degree. But she wanted to know if others shared this talent.
Sighing she made her way through the woods. No particular direction in mind, she found herself approaching a building. This must be the building all the others talked about. She lifted her nose, and sniffed at the air. Strange scents filtered through her nostrils, but a faint familiarity crept in as well. On the other side of the clearing stood another similar to herself. Twigs and all. She cantered her head to the side, and slowly padded towards the other, her tails swaying softly and leisurely behind her.

His nostrils flared from the familiar scent. As he turned his head to face the dark, yet seemingly aflame femme, his tails wagged playfully behind him.
In terms of appearance, they were polar opposites. He was light with dark patterns while she was dark with bright patterns. Not only that, but she seemed like she was born from a raging fire. If it weren't for her amethyst-colored eyes, one would think the autumn leaves were set aflame from the dry weather.
Gekigami made his way somewhat hurriedly toward the female. His steps were light and almost prance-like in a way. Certainly, he was excited to finally meet one of his own.
"Hello there!" He yelled, "It is so good to finally meet another Fa'e!" The expression on his face was that of a bright and cheery smile. Hopefully she'll take kindly to him despite his overly energetic appearance.

Meritamon was more of a leisure being, she herself didnt prance. She wasnt above socializing with those that did however. She was slightly startled by his eagerness and energy.
Blinking a few times, she took in the male before her. Her ears flicked softly as she watched him. Finally she nodded her head in greeting. "Hello there" she replied. Her voice was soft and light. She seemed to rumble, deep in her chest, like a wildfire. It was only noticeable when you were well within her bubble zone, but keen ears might pick up a deep 'purr'.
"I agree. I wasnt sure what to expect of our species. Do you know what the norm is for us? As normal as one species can be..." She gave a soft laugh.

The female seemed more reserved than he was. Rather than prancing around she greeted him calmly as if she'd known him the entire time. Or as if she had frequently seen others like himself. Even personality wise she seemed rather opposite of him.
He gave a brief shook of head in response to her question, "No, I do not know. You are the first of our kind I have seen. I lived alone for a long time now. Could I dare venture a guess that you are in the same situation as I?"
As he settled down his tails curled around his small frame. But every now and then they would give just a small twitch-like flicker.

Her wing-ears flicked softly, as she watched him. He was more...eccentric then she. He had more energy. She could have energy when she needed it, but she didnt bristle with it like he seemed to.
Meritamon remained standing, her tails lightly touching the grass, her feet together in a regal manner. Her gold ankh necklace glittered in the sun. She nodded subtly to his question. "Yes, i have a Grove through the woods, near my human, and as of yet i've never seen another like me. Well, in species. There are a few other Egyptians around, of different species. I figured it was time to find out about my species." She said with a light nod of her head
"Have you heard anything about us? Abilities, talents, strength's?"

She spoke of many alien subjects. Humans? Egyptians? What are those? Are they other names for other species?
He had only just recently came out of his home. She was the first Fa'e he ever met, and about the only other thing he knew was they were called "Fa'e" and the others similar to them were generally referred to by "Kitsu" or "Kitsusagi".
"What are 'humans' and 'Egyptians'? Are they similar to us? In any case, I have not heard anything about abilities, talents or strengths concerning our species. Did you have something specific in mind?"

Meri blinked at him, and cantered her head to the side slightly. He didnt know what humans were? Egyptians didnt surprise her, few were often aware of other cultures.
She shook her head from her silent reprieve and swayed her tails softly.
"Humans, are the two legged hairless things. Every kitsusagi has a 'human'." She lifted a delicate paw, and pointed to a 'human', which turned out to be Shady, bustling out of HQ and darting into the woods. "There is my human. And, Egyptians, are a type of person, they live in the desert. They worship many gods, and have many beliefs. Egypt is a large place, with many wonders. So i'm told. I was taken from there before i could remember." she gave a light shrug.
It didnt matter, she'd go back one day.
She turned her attention back to him. "I can control and create fire, manipulate it to sorts. i was curious if it was a species thing, or me specific." she said lightly.

He had only seen these "humans" from afar. They would occasionally wander around here replacing food supplies and whatnot. But he had never seen these "Gods" or anything they worshiped. No statues or any other signs of it. It seemed interesting, though, for surely even those among their species of Kitsus worshiped Gods.
"Oh really?" Fire seemed a convenient power. One could use it to keep warm or heat up foods. His was somewhat similar. "I can control electricity, but I can only manipulate what I create. Small amounts of electricity doesn't harm me, though. More so tickles than anything," he grinned lightly.
Honestly, if given the chance he would probably demonstrated it for her. Anything to impress a lady.

Meritamon tilted her head to the side "Electricity?" her tails swayed softly behind her "That sounds interesting. Do you mind showing me? I can show you fire if you'd like" She nodded and gave a soft smile, her amethyst eyes already dancing at the thought of fire.
"I'd like to meet as many of our type as i can, and discover what they can do. What we're all capable of" She was very curious about their type, enough so to drag her from her comfortable abode.

He nodded with slight excitement at the thought of showing off his powers. The focus shifted from her to the patch of ground immediately in front of him. He stared at it as if trying to burn a hole through the ground with a mere stare, little sparks started to dance in front of his forehead, making bits of his forehead fur stand up.
The electricity started to build up little by little until suddenly, creating a zapping noise, shooting at the spot he was previously staring at. The electricity didn't do much since it shot at essentially what was dirt, but was probably a neat display for the femme next to him.
"I would very much be interested in seeing your fire ability." He nodded with a small grin on his maw.
Gekigami came out of his little retreat mainly out of loneliness. He wanted to make friends and to share adventures with others.

Merri tilted her head to the side softly, watching Gekigami focus on the dirt. Her nose twitched as she sensed the change in the air around him.
She moved away from the spot, just as the electricity shot at the dirt. A soft smile spread across her maw "That was very neat." She shook her body lightly "Made me all tingly" she said with an airy giggle, that sounded almost like a deep purr lied beneath her laugh, creating an exotic combination.
Merti took a few steps back, she held her paw out, pads up and closed her eyes. The red markings on her fur, began to throb and pulse, her tails began to crackle with sparks, and eventually caught on fire. Her ankh necklace, and the ankh's on her body glowed a white color. Her brows furrowed in concentration, and in a sudden movement, all the fire over her body traveled up towards her head, then down her extended paw, bursting into a ball on her paw. She opened her eyes, which glowed with a soft flame, dying down after a few seconds.
The ball on her paw crackled and puffed out. She set her paw down and gave a soft smile. Her body was covered in a light ash, and the leaves on her twig wings were burnt. They'd grow back later. Sure she'd layed on the theatrics a bit, but nobody's ever wanted to see her fire. "Its a beautiful thing, but it also destroys" she said softly, glancing back at her burnt twigs and singed fur tips. She shook her body lightly, and bits of ash went everywhere, she sidestepped to avoid it landing on her again.

Gekigami could only watch in amazement at Merri's passionate power. It started so quickly and ended just as quickly; leaving nothing but destruction in its way. In comparison to his lightning power, it seemed way more spectacular.
Another spectacular thing about her power was how beautifully her fur-color changed from fiery red to a burning red-orange color like that of a sun. It was all so amazing to him. Had he known others had such amazing abilities, he would have came out of his cave sooner.
He was so distracted he barely blinked throughout the whole process. Staring at it was similar to staring at the sun. A beautiful sight, but a very painful one afterward. His vision blurred slightly accompanied by little green-blue circles in his line of sight. Since he was so distracted, the ashes latched onto his gray-white fur, creating ashy bits of fur.
When he came to, he didn't fully realize his external appearance otherwise surely he would've shook off the ash as well. "That was simply amazing!" was all he could manage to say.

Merri was starting to feel a bit more, open, and playful. Now that she was feeling more comfortable around Gekigami. She smiled softly and bowed her head softly "Thank you." she said lightly. When he didnt realize he was covered in ash, she lightly reached out a paw and brushed some off his cheek. "I'm afraid i covered you in ash." she said with an airy giggle.
She tilted her head to the side "Would you like to go for a walk with me?" she asked softly "I feel like searching for flowers" Merri had a secret thing for flowers. Well, not so secret now.

When the female brushed the ash off his fur, his face turned a little pink. He failed to notice the bits of ash covering his fur. "Thank you. I was a little distracted there," he chuckled lightly, trying to make light conversation in order to distract her.
"A walk sounds splendid. Are you searching for a particular kind of flowers?"
