Sienna lay lounging in the sun, no worries or real cares of any kind at the moment....this was a first for her, and one she longed to enjoy for as long as possible. With the sun soaking into her every pore, chasing away the last of the lingering darkness that might of remained after Jezebeth's 'birth' (or creation, however one wished to look on it), and her children nearby...truly life was good.
A deep purr awoke her to reality, though, as her oldest son appeared and lay down beside her, his ghostly body making her shiver a little in the heat of the day. "Cosmo...really, when are you or your sister going to get yourselves a mate? I'd like some grandbabies one day...!" She swatted at him gently with one paw, the tip passing through his body as he made himself insubstantial before resolidifying long enough to give her a cold, and slobbery, ghostly lick on the cheek.
You know all good things come in time, Mom. Besides, not sure how many want to date a ghost, who aren't a bit weirded out by my ability to disappear at will. Have to admit there are some annoying lions out there that make me grateful I can!" Cosmo chuckled, before rolling onto his back and calling out, "Lilac! I know your there...."
Lilac grunted a little, more annoyed by her brother's antics than anything, and padded over to give her mother a more respectful nuzzle. "I'm glad to see your doing so much better, Mother...." She took in her mother's shiny coat, and happy demeanor, though there were still minor signs she was recovering from her ordeal of before. Still, the darkness and doubts were gone, and that made her feel slightly better. "I still can't find Rosa, Mama...I've looked everywhere I can think of, and about the only thing that makes me feel better is to know least she's not lying dead someplace. I just wish I knew why she was avoiding us, why she left..." Lilac rarely talked about her sister, though it was a thought that was usually on her mind since Rosa's initial disappearance.
Sapphire watched all this through half lidded eyes, half asleep, as she lay in the sun between her mother's paws. At the mention of Rosa's name, she became a little more awake, intrigued by the mention of her missing older sister. "Mama...why did Rosa leave? Was she mad?" she asked innocently, her head raised and half-cocked to the side.
Sienna nuzzled her youngest daughter, and was quiet for a moment as she scanned the horizon as if looking for something...anything. Sighing, knowing and answer had to be given, she looked down at Sapphire with a sad sort of half-smile. "I don't know. I was so caught up in myself at the time, that I have no idea why she disappeared. Maybe she's mad at me...she has every right to be, I guess, and I this is the only time that I wish I HAD died, so that I might be able to find her. Ask her forgiveness..." Sienna's voice trailed off with another sigh of longing as she gazed once more upon the horizon, wondering what she could ever do to repair what had happened.
In an effort to lighten the mood, Cosmo proceeded to pounce on his litter mate, much to Sapphire's delight, in an effort to distract his mother from such distracting regrets. He was sure Rosa would return, and so in truth her disappearance didn't bother him as much. After all, there was alot places to explore, and adventures to do, when one could not be killed.
Scenting something, he paused and sniffed the air before continuing his attempts to chew lightly on Lilac's paw, announcing with a muffled voice "I think someone's coming..."

"You did what?" Aquos muffled as the fish he had caught dropped to the ground though he remained slack jawed at his sister. He had bumped into her as he returned to his mate and cubs.
Zinvera seemed to be thrilled with herself, gabbing away to her brother at what she had managed to do. "Gathered the family! It will be fun bro! You've been denying us for so long! You weren't gonna do it so I did it for you!" The female grinned widely.
The male studdered. "But Sienna-"
"'Isn't ready' I know you've been singing that cord for a long time now bro but you have been boosting on how she has improved so it is time!" Zinvera boosted in, shutting her brother up.
"Besides I wanna meet my cousins Uncle Aquos!" Hailia chimed in with a pout.
Being out numbered was no place he wanted to be in. Aquos shook his head slightly and sighed. "Alright alright. I know when I'm beat..This way." Aquos picked his fish back up before leading his sister and niece to where his mate and children were. One big old happy family, that what they were...This day was gonna be funnn.

It took a moment for Cosmo's comment to sink in, and she came back to reality, and the sound of her youngest daughter's laughter at her older sibling's antics. Distracted from her troubled heart, she let the moment sink into her...she was home after all. Her family, at least most of it, was together and the day was beautiful. What could she ask for more?
She stood up and gave a huge stretch, a part of her wanting to run....not run away, but to run for the sheer joy of the action, to feel the muscles move beneath her coat and the wind in her fur as she drove herself to her fastest speed. It'd been so long since she'd enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, and it just felt so...so...good. She curled her claws a couple times in the dirt, giving a huge yawn before settling back down to give Sapphire her bath.
"Who's coming, Cosmo? Who? Is it Daddy?!" Sapphire bounded around her ghostly siblings as they wrestled before being corraled by her mother. She giggled as her mother's raspy tongue tiggled her body, but she didn't wiggle as much as her brother's did. "Is Daddy coming? I hope he's bringing home zebra...I like stripey meat!"
"He'll be here soon, sweetie," is all her mother would reply.

"You always want stripey meat...." Topaz mewed as he awoke from his slumber. The male nudged his sister with his foot as he stretched out and rolled over to look out to the approaching lions. Topaz squinted slightly. "Who that with him?" He asked to no one really. He knew just as everyone else that they'd soon find out.

It took some time but Aquos and his two companions finally made it to the where his mate lay. Aquos dropped the fish(which Topaz gladly pounced on) , heading over to Sienna to nuzzle her with a loud purr. "Sienna..Umm..You remember my sister Zinerva...And this is her daughter Hailia..." Aquos nervously told Sienna while his sister and niece began to aww over the ubs.

"Not fish, again! Mama, I'm going to smell all fishy now..." Sapphire made a face at the fish, but stopped complaining after a stern look from her mother silenced her. She made no move toward the fish, instead looking at the new comers her father had brought with him, proudly proclaiming, "I'm Sapphire!"
Sienna sighed a little mentally, feeling a bit embarrased by her daughter's reaction to the fish in front of Aquos's family, but she gave them all a smile. "Hello Zinerva...Hailia...Welcome! What brings you two to our neck of the pride lands?" She was wary of what might be happening, especially with her mate looking like he wanted to simply bolt, but forced herself to relax, and nosed Sapphire forward to greet her extended family.

Zinerva giggled at the youngest female and nuzzled her. "And I'm your aunt Zinerva sweetie...Brother, shame on you for keeping us away from these darlings for so long." She said before she gave a stern look to her brother.
Topaz blinked for a moment while we gnawed on the fish's tail before speaking. "Sooo..That makes..." He looked to Hailia, "you our cousin right? Nice to meet you!" He grinned to her.
Hailia nodded. "That right! Oh! I can't wait for everybody to meet you cuties!"
"Everybody?" Topaz canted his head.
"Yes dear! Everybody! Your father's family! They are coming to see you. Least the ones that wanted to come." Zinerva chuckled as Topaz's eyes went wide from excitement.
"Ya...That's why they are here love." Aquos weakly smiled to Sienna.

Sapphire giggled as her aunt nuzzled her and she turned back to her mother and asked, "Can we keep her? I like her!"
Sienna chuckled at her daughters reaction to Zinerva, but it was Halia's statement that made her dark fur pale and her smile falter. The idea of meeting everyone scared the hell out of her, and she looked helplessly to her mate in reassurance but found little there. She knew the day would come, but she also was extremely self-conscious feeling she'd be judged for leaving Aquos as she had, and all she wanted to do was find some deep dark hole to curl up in away from the world. Closing her eyes, she took a deep breath, held it and said (despite her mind about screaming at her), "I'd love to meet them." It came out sounding more like she was resigned to her fate than excited, her body shaking slightly as she fought to control her desire to run. Opening her eyes, she tried a smile and repeated herself. "This is wonderful!"
Sapphire squealed as she ran about Zinvera's legs, sending sparkles everywhere, not noticing how tense and scared her mother was. She was going to meet more cousins! Whatever they really were, she had no clue, but if they were like Halia and her new aunt, bring them on!
