HEY! HEY GUYS! HEY YOU GUYS! GUESS WHAT!
I'm spending next year studying abroad in Germany cool
HOW COOL IS THAT???
I'm going to Leuphana University in Luneburg Germany. Its a "vibrant university town in a medieval setting just 30 min from Hamburg"
I'm leaving September 1st and will be there until mid-May.
I dont speak German >.> But I'm taking Elementary German 1 now, and hopefully will be able to take Elementary German 2 during the summer. Then I'm taking 4 years worth of German while I'm in Germany biggrin
I'm super excited <3
THIS! Is going to be my super awesome Germany thread! Like I had a super awesome Australia thread biggrin Except with hopefully less bitching XD

Kewl! Make sure to visit Trier at Weihnachten fur die Weihnachtenmarkt. Seriously, the Trier Christmas Market is a must-see. If you ever can, go. And be on the look out from anyone from chesterton Community College, because that's my school. But I doubt you'll see anyone who knows me. My year went last year and I doubt anyone in the year below would know me. Other than as that weird guy in Year 11 with the long hair

Australia is a lovely country, just as lovely as the US heart "?? I was so calm and accepting.
HATTIE!!!!! I already told Kejo I would visit him in England. I got a $1000 discount for being a returning student so I'm going to spend $500 each semester in going to far-ish away European countries. Like England. So you should live next door to Kejo and then I can visit you too. Thanks. Oh and I'm going to some famous Christmas market, in Celle, they have a field trip there in December smile

ahmg, that's awesome! i studied abroad in austria my sophomore year of college, it was like.. the best year of my life (so far?). YOU WILL HAVE VIEL SPASS.
also my grandparents live in hamburg. there's this really sweet toy train museum there, that you should totally go to. they're making mini-models of all different parts of the world, with trains that go all around and s**t. idk, it's epic.
i'm hoping to teach english in either germany or austria next year, perhaps we'll be there at the same time?!?!

I want to go to Austria!! I should add that to my list. Is it called Österreich? My map is in German and I dont know the countries yet xd

ANYWAYS GUYS!!! I have my first issue!! My parents want to know if I'll be coming home for Christmas. So I kind of have to decide. I'm guessing I have a couple months to make the decision, but I should start thinking about it now maybe? On one side, Christmas break gives me time to travel, since I have class 5 days a week during the semester. That means only short weekend trips most of the time I'm there. So I shouldnt go home. On the other hand I've never been away from home on christmas before and my dad would be all kinds of depressed if I wasnt home. Plus do I really want to spend Christmas alone in a foreign country? Most people only stay for 1 semester so I wont have my friends from the program, and who knows if I'll have German friends by then, seeing how I dont really speak German XD BUT! I do have other European friends from Australia... maybe they would let me visit for Christmas? What do you guys think??

I personally think it would be really awkward to spend your Christmas with somebody elses family... Unless your friends are celebrating it alone... Then OK, spend your Christmas with them! blaugh
