тнє ρσ¢кєт ѕιzє∂ ηιηנα ѕαуѕ: According to theosophical doctrine, spirit guides are persons who have lived many former lifetimes, paid their karmic debts, and advanced beyond a need to reincarnate. Many devotees believe that spirit guides are chosen on "the other side" by human beings who are about to incarnate and wish assistance. -Wikipedia I've met mine approx. two/three years ago. His name is Jason and one of my friends guides brought him to me when I was in my room around 2am. Ever since he has been by my side. After a few days I realized that my guide was actually around my whole life, in the form of my childhood imaginary friend. Though obviously at the time i didn't realize that it was a guide. I think that they are amazing to have and converse with. I've also met two of my animal spirit guides, A wolf named Stella and a deer whose name i have yet to discover. -> Have you met yours? -> Do you believe in them?

I've met mine just recently actually, his name is Michael, hes the only spirit guide i've met tho i know i have others. So yes i believe in them. Michael is about 17 at least when i see him and can be pretty annoying (which i've heard is common). I only see him occasionally most of the time i can just sense him and i often see him in dreams which after i knew he was my guide made more sense then him just being the silent figure in most of my premonitions not that i ever noticed his presence as being odd before.

I used to believe I was interacting with a spirit guide. Perhaps I was, but I now believe each interaction to have been communication with my subconscious with specific persona placement for specific purposes. For me, it was easier to contact him by typing. I'd open up notepad and start typing to another person using words like "You." I would meditate and let impressions come to me, then I would search for words until the impression from them matched the initial impression. In this way, I gained an invaluable friend and even mentor. As I mentioned vaguely, I now believe this mentor of infinite wisdom and patience to truly be myself, so I now struggle to bring this subconscious persona to light (Jung pun intended) instead of having a second-person interaction.
Aerliniel - The simplest exercise I have read is to meditate and visualize yourself to be somewhere very special to you. The author of this particular book chose the beach of time. Anyways, you sit patiently and invite your spirit guide to come to you. It may or may not come, and the trickiest part of all, it may not appear in any way you expect at all. Most people expect a humanoid figure to approach them, meanwhile, you could give up having some annoying song stuck in your head; that annoying song could actually be a message.

I believe in spirit guides but I have not met mine. Mostly because I lack the discipline to train myself to make contact with the spirit world.

Mine's a git. scream I mean it too he really makes me work for my readings. I don't even know his name I just call him The Git.
EDIT- First of my Classes of the year and our teacher helped us find out our spirit guides. Mine didn't come forwards to me but my teacher says I've got a monk as a guide. I feel a little bad for calling him git now.

Jason is between 17-20, he is quite hansom. I can always feel his presence, touching my shoulder, kissing my cheek, his hands on my cheek, ect. I don't really find him annoying more helpful if anything.

Michael often rests his hand on my shoulder or neck when im having a bad time depressed or angry even. Hes also very handsome and i didnt have to concentrate one day i was really depressed and he showed up he was there when i had the premonition dream of my great grandfathers death and often tries to calm me down when i'm upset. He always stands behind me and off to the right and knowing i don't like being touched he doesn't often touch me just when im extremely upset and then he just places his hand on my neck until im calm.
Like Dazzlers i have to pester and work for anything and he doesn't like answering questions and then when he does its like hes speaking in riddles and i have to puzzle over the answers he does give me. It took me weeks to get his name out of him and that took a couple arguments and a meditation session. And he wont answer anything unless i mentally project it at him none of that speaking out loud easy stuff. Sometimes i wonder if hes helping me or making life more difficult.

ive never personally met mine, but i feel him. i only tsomewhat think its a him because i just feel a slightly masculine energy when he is around but i could be wrong.
i like mine, he seems nice from what i can tell and keeps me safe and lets me know when i should do something.
as for animal spirit guides i like to believe that one of my old pet rats has become something close to that. i still feel him around my room and he follows me when i go on errends from time to time. it may be because ive got his bottom jaw in a jar in my room but either way im happy he has stuck around to spend time with me. it creeps me out a bit sometimes because i could swear i feel him walking across my feet from time to time and i hate having my feet messed with

I find it interesting that almost every one else says their spirit guide is or feels male. Mine feels female. I wonder if they are all different genders or if they take a gender that is comforting to you. that would make sense because then mine would feel feminine because men make me uncomfortable.

From what i've heard from other people spirit guides have gender but then they are also what you are most comfortable with and relate to best. Its a common belief that children's imaginary friends are their spirit guide. I believe we choose our guides personally before we come here which seems to be the best explanation to me

I'm not entierely sold on spirit guides. I do believe in guardian angels but I think that angels aren't relatives who made it to heaven but celestrial beings who have been around since the world was made. My roommate argues that they are technichally spirit guides but I don't really know.

Spirit Guides have lived human lives Angels have not. They're different species basically.
