The clearing was tame and quiet as usual. Zeda was stomping around like always, pounding the grass flat with her heavy hooves. Not one to compose herself as elegant in any way shape or form. She snorted and flicked her mane out of her face. Her hair was getting too long, it was getting bothersome. She must get that human to cut it. That was a too longer walk for her to be bothered with at the moment. All she wanted to do in these cold months was basically lay down and hibernate and eat. Although all the tasty plants where dead. Man she hated winter. Then again what did she not find to complain about? this was Zeda after all, she was known for being hormonal to say the least.

It'd been far too long since his last visit and yet here he was for some unknown reason, back at the very place he first started. He had come back for the occassional visit, just so his mother hadn't started to worry and gone mad, thinking her pride and joy had vanished into deaths hands through time. The last time though, hed made a vow not to return unless his beloved mate was by his side so he could show off the very beauty he had earned love from outside of their tiny traditional herd.
With a soft reminiscent sigh Amane walked on kicking tuffs of grass with the tip of his hooves and watching it flatten, then spring back up after his foot had left the very spot. Was he biding his time? He wasn't sure what he would say to them. After a few minuets of walking through the clearing with his head lowered and eyes, eyeballing the small amusement along the flooring he decided to direct his attention to what was ahead and face it head on. After all, facing general life was a speciallity; couldnt quit now.
To his surprise, there was a mare stomping her way around and looking a little distressed in herself. He wondered what was up, curling a brow to the strangers actions... Keeping a small distance away. He stood his ground and came to a steady halt looking the dark coated mare up and down with the odd vibrant colours gleaming in midst the day light.
"Is everything ok, miss?"

Zeda's eyes darted towards where the voice was coming from. Turning her head to look at the blood coloured stallion who had just happened to wonder into her part of the valley. A small smirk coming onto her lips as she started to approach him her head held high, her voice confident if not a little smug. "It is funny how many strangers say that, even though they have no reason to give a damn. A simple hello is much more appropriate for the first meeting is it not?" She said looking up to him, her eyes just viable through her messy hair. Blowing upwards to blow it from her face. She was never polite to strangers simply because she saw no reason to be, its not like he had earned her respect yet. As you may see Zeda is a mare that very few get along with.

Well, wasn't this a surprise. He'd been nice enough to see if the mare was alright and this is the thanks he gets, but he guessed her logic was right. "Urm very well then. Hello" He simply stated in a numb tone, watching as the multi-coloured bangs slipped out of her eyes with the help of her breath. She looked a very unusual mare and her characteristic showed by the small but most confident greeting.
He stepped back, liking his own space as this stranger had just pushed right into it and with it being the clearing his presense was already forming awkwardly just because of 'his own situation.' Something else was bothering him like, why did she seem so familiar somehow? That itch just kept coming back. Ears perking forward, he lowered his head towards her in study. Looking straight into her withdrawn gaze. "Have we met before?" Was the only thing he could think of to ask.

Zeda looked at the male a little closer in case she just did not recognise him, however she was sure that this male had never been a sight to her eyes before today. She gave a shake of her head. "You have not been paying attention, did I not just say this was a first meeting?" She asked tilting her head with another small smirk on her face. "My name is Zeda. Now are you going to tell me yours? She asked trotting a little further away other things catching her eye, like the bare tree's and the crispy grass. She did not have much of a attention span, especially for people and this male seemed to be struggling to hold her interest. However she looked back to see if he was going to give her a answer.

"Hmm, well aren't you one of a kind." He muttered, eyes following her to the side as she trotted off, obviously finding an interest in something elsewhere. Whilst she was busy he looked around and after being in the clear with the herd being no where in sight decided to stick around. 'I have nothing better to be doing right now.. I swear, I know her from somewhere.' Following after her and wondering what she was doing he came to another stand beside her, peeking around to see what she was interested in. "What are you doing? And my name is Amane." he nodded, proudly. "Zeda, huh; i'll keep that in mind.."

"Yes, that seems to people the general opinion on me, however first meetings do not tell you much do they?" She stated as he wondered over to stand next to her. Funny thing was, she was not that bad just a little cruel towards strangers, she had seemed to learn not to let people in her life in case they wanted out later, so she would not make any connection with a person until she was sure they where not just going to bugger off later. "Amane fair enough can not say I have heard that one before... you do that, I do not really like to repeat myself." She mentioned with a sinister chuckle before she looked out over the meadow. "Haha. This place is so dead in the winter, not even the little critters are out. It makes me giggle. How people can abandon their home for something as trivial as the weather. One day they will come back and kalona will have taken over this place."

Amane smirked when the mare stated she didn't like to repeat herself and in honesty, it was refreshing meeting someone stubborn. He walked forwards tilting his head at a bare tree, not a single leaf decorated its branches like they did when spring finally kicked in. "It will always be their home and they can come back, after winter is over. Sometimes their homes don't provide the neccessaties to live. I'd rather live than freeze or starve." He smiled at her in reason then slowly ducked his head down whilst she nosed around and began nibbling at the grass - Better to nibble now in case there wasn't time to later.
"So, do you live here?" He asked after swallowing his current mouthful.

Zeda nodded at his question. "Well not in the open meadow but not too far away in the three's around here, I have my own little den. Quiet to itself. A nice little place actually." She stated flicking her mane one more time before she two lowered her head to get something to eat. Raising it back up to look at the male. "I guess that means its my turn for a question, where do you live?" She asked giving him a small glance from the side of her eyes, her voice like that of a interrogator in a police confession. She started to wonder in circles around the male. Her head bobbing from side to side.

Amane watched as the now 'detective' situated mare moved around him with characteristics of a shark, like he was a suspicious criminal telling a lie. He grinned, liking the sudden change to the mare. "Very well..." He looked side to side, pretending to be shifty. "I live 'near'... Veeeery near but its not a permanent home, just one I return to time to time." He held his head high, and snorted softly so the left over grass 'crumbs' floated lifelessly to the ground. What was she up to? Especially after suddenly showing an interest. He wanted to play along with it, to keep some entertainment.

Zeda has a game in mind, something that might give her some entertainment for the day, she chuckled in a sinister way her head down but her eyes looking up at him through strands. "Lets play a game, 20 questions, anything can be asked, we take it in turns. At the end I will decide if you are worth my time. I will even show you where the hot springs are if you really surprise me! however it takes a lot to get my attention so you better not be boring, enough people have wasted my time, so dull. Question one? Do you live with family?" She asked tilting her head to one side, continuing with her circular movement. She liked this game, however it had been a long time since she had played, a foal in fact! Any way that can satisfy her need to make people feel uncomfortable.

"The hot springs ey? Well, that seems like a fitting prize." If Amane had not seen more evil looking creatures before, he might have darted off at the look Zeda flashed him through those dark multi coloured strands. It was unusually sinister for a regular. With a nod and a newly placed grin, he laughed lightly. "Well, that isn't a very creative question. Starting off small are we?" He teased giving the question a bit of thought. "No, actually I'm a traveler. Now, my turn." Without moving his gaze, he asked his question. "Are you a wanderer yourself?"

"I wonder about many things, however not all that wonder are lost. At the moment I wonder why you thought I was familiar? who do I remind you off? Is it my blood covered figure, my striped hair? my crimson eyes? think hard and through because the answer could affect out game... " She smirked, she has a creeping suspicion he was mistaking her for her mother, maybe her father, more likely. Oh well, neither of them where welcome here and neither was anyone who had anything to do with them. One a cruel child abandoner and one a emotional shell of what he used to be. If he knew her sister he better run... or some blood might be added to her hooves. Ooooh she hated that wicked b***h! She was curious, no one had ever said that to her before. Infact the aim of the game was to find out what he meant, why she was familiar, it would be boring if he was just stupid... had no reason to do so at all.

Amane lifted his head, sucked in the clean air through his nostrils and closed his eyes to dig deep into the back of his mind at her question. What was familiar? It had been plaguing his mind this whole time too. What was it? She had named a lot of good reasons to find her familiar through her features and his mind slowly checked through them all again. One by one. Blood, no, no regular in his time had carried blood like the stains she carried and he could tell her past must not of been a kind one. The stripes however, he could only really recall one. His beloved, October. He reopened his eyes, the blue's taking to her figure, curious and judging him in return. Why did she want to know so badly. Perhaps his interest was right?
"I can only think of one. Her name is October, my mate. She has markings that resemble some sort of panda. Red, and the stripes are the most familiar." He settled on with a sure nod. "Does the name sound familiar?"

"Ahh... yes I know that name, my mother mentioned something about a sister, more so the red panda you are referring too comes from my grandmother, however I can never say we have met, our family has a habit of abandoning our children and not giving a damn about there relations." She stated looking the other way, she knew she had a big family however she also knew that said family did not give a damn about her and never bothered to seek her out. She had always been alone... she had always just been here. Wait then the reality hit her. "Ahh uncle, somewhere deep down a pity for you for coming into a house filled with such bastards. Just now it takes more than a title to be family to me. Now its your turn Uncle." She said the word more like a insult than anything else, it meant so little to her, she did not really care he was mated to her mothers sister, she had never even met the mare, so why should she, said mare had never made a effort for her... and she could have done with one a long time ago. However she was used to getting let down by her relatives.
