It was another day, just the same as all the others. Lunar watched the members of her herd go about their business. Thinking about the truth behind their actions, and the stories they told. She took one more look, before she wandered her way out from the teepee. No one really ever noticed when she was around anyways. She padded the ground softly moving her way slowly. She followed the path for a while, and then took a turn down another.

Everything seemed like it blended in together these days. She didn't have anyone to really talk to, and she didn't have much to do. She didn't have a stallion in her life, or any of her own friends really. Not that she was unfriendly. But that most others found her quietness to be rather uneasy.

She finally followed the path right into the forest.

"Oh my... what a lovely thing you are!" the light mare exclaimed, her head bowed as she examined a furry-looking caterpillar crawling across the ground. It was quite colorful, perhaps the most colorful worm she had ever seen, and she couldn't help but admire it as it inched along the moss-covered ground. It looked very fuzzy and soft... if only she could hold it! Of course, that was quite the complicated task when she did not possess hands. Still...

She leaned closer, her eyes cris-crossing as the caterpillar became bigger in her view. She nudged it gently with her nose, expecting to feel the soft, down-like fuzz...

"Ahhh!" she exclaimed, jerking back. A sharp sting came from the tip of her muzzle, bringing water to her eyes. Had the caterpillar done that? It had to be... but how could such a beautiful thing deliver such pain? It was not natural, in her eyes! What a strange, deceptive creature.

She turned away, bending down to rub her burning nose on the dewy grass beside a tree stump. Though she was slighlty upset that such an innocent creature had caused her pain, she soon sobered with the remembrance of her father's teachings. Not all is as it seems... he had said. She only had a hard time applying this to the beauty of nature, for how could the beauty of nature be anything else but beautiful?

Sobering as the burn in her nose faded, she raised back up, her ears perking forward as she heard a small noise. It sounded like... hoof steps? Perhaps another horse? She smiled and headed in their direction, eager for a chance to meet someone new.

Lunar didn't often come to the forest. For she was small, and Kalona were big. And so she ventured to mix things up today, and take to the forest. There were still some mounds of snow... The recent rain melted most of it. Not thing she actually minded. They sometimes go so much snow that it went past her belly! Talk about making things hard. So the ground was a little damp and squishy.

As she walked her ears twitched, it sounded like another horse was coming right for her. Though not in a rush, just talking... With a purpose. If they were running then she would have feared more for her own safety. And off to the side, it didn't must for Lunar's silver eyes to notice an almost glowing white figure making it's way toward her.

Liella squinted her eyes as a small, dark shape came into view. It was moving slowly, just as she was, and though it didn't seem to be threatening, her mind switched back to her father's tales of great wildcats that came from the woods... This seemed to be too small to be another Soquili, so could it be a cat? She sidled alongside a tree, waiting to assess the situation further--and then the shape broke the shadows, the creature coming plainly into view. Ah! It WAS a soquili... but it was so small? She had never seen a horse this small, though she had heard of them, once or twice. Her curiosity was instantly peaked, and she trotted out from behind the tree, a bright smile on her face.

"Hello there!" she exclaimed, her voice light and fair. She stopped in front of the little Soquili, obliviously blocking her way.

Lunar pulled her head back when she heard the voice, and then saw the glowing figure. It was another horse. She was a little disappointed, but none the less, this mare seemed to take an interest in her right away. And not only that, she was blocking her way. Looking up at the larger soquili, Lunar gave a smile.

"Hello there." The other mare seemed to be much more excited then she on this meeting. "Can I help you with someone?" Maybe she had something for Lunar to do. That might be nice for a change.
