Well I recently got a new Ovation acoustic-electric guitar, and I need some badass songs to play. What great acoustic songs are there? I have been playing stuff like Black Hole Sun, Wish You Were Here, Cemetary Gates, and others, what else is there?

James Tanner If you can fingerpick, I can tell you loads. I can fingerpick somewhat, and in the future I plan to learn how to actually do it well. Can you post some beginner fingerpicking songs? TrebleClef Tears in Heaven and Dust in the Wind. Both beautiful songs. How could I forget about these? With these I also remember some other good songs, thanks.

Landslide by Fleetwood Mac is a good fingerpicking song to lear, becuase it has a fairly standard pattern, and should be fairly easy if you play it slwer than the actual record. Also Blackbird by the Beatles could be good. wink

If you want something a little deeper, then I suggest "Hurt" by NIN, or "Outside" by Staind. Both sound quite powerfull on a acoustic. mrgreen
