Once again, the sun began its steady decent into the west. Past the rubble of the outer city, in a lightly forested swamp, lay at least one creature that had enjoyed her night to its fullest. Her lithe, feminine form lay curled up under two trees, whose branches were so tangled and trunks so close that they may as well have been one. As the last few snores tapered off and she began to come round to her senses, a flood of musky delight filled her nostrils; she could still smell the strong scent of her company from the previous night. What a fun-filled evening it had been, too; hunting, play, and, of course, a perfect ending before they rested. Their passion had spanned across two days thus far. Yes. During the moon's reign two nights ago, she had found the perfect toy. Or, at least, the best she had come across so far. This other raptor was charming, always seeming to know how to say just the right things. Of course, there was also the general attractiveness of him; what a body! And his mutations only enhanced that air of mystery and longing, and served to draw her to him. And best of all, as far as she could tell, he wanted the same things she did out of their "relationship." No, she wouldn't tire of this one any time soon. Not a chance.

What of her feelings for this male, Jono? He was company, and nothing much more. True, she was grateful to him, and felt lucky to have stumbled across such a catch while looking for a spot to settle down and eat that saltare fawn. But as far as love, he meant nothing. It was far from personal; as a matter of fact, Zwi happened to enjoy this type of relationship. Flings, as she called them, kept one's life on the side of freedom. And freedom, for certain, was one of Zwi's favorite things.

The violet female felt her feathers ruffle as a chill went down her spine. She flexed her claws, ankles, and finally stretched her neck. Her eyes refused to open themselves to the mid-afternoon light. It didn't really matter. Leaning her head against some tender, scratched-up bark, she cooed softly, "You still around, stud?"

(( I'll get his pic in a minute.. ))

Indeed, the mutant raptor was still present. He had not urge to leave and wouldn't feel right walking out on Zwi, even if he was completely aware of what type of relationship this was. Just like Zwi it was what he wanted. Jono didn't like getting close after a few bad incidents in his life. Sure, he was willing to make a friend, but anything other than that and he was likely to back off. So this, this was perfect and the kind of attention he'd been hoping for.

He opened one of his four eyes to look over at the patchwork raptor. A crooked smile formed on his face that soon turned into a grin. "Of course. I see no reason to leave..."

He was near her side, so he moved his long tail over to brush against her. "Why would I want to after last night... Or the night before..."

Zwi lauged softly as she felt his tail against her downy hide. This was exactly what she wanted; to feel, at every moment, attractive and wanted. She needed this, and perhaps in that way she was vain. Or maybe it came from growing up in the type of family that her mother gave her? Neglecting her children in favor of her harem of males? This wasn't exactly the type of rolemodel that most raptors had in her upbringing, she figured. Bah. She preferred not to dwell on the reasoning behind the way she behaved. Only what she wanted.

"Oh, I don't know. Maybe you could've gotten bored?" That, however, had never really happened to one of her temporary mates... Not that she knew of, anyway. She'd woken up alone before, and heard more than one sorry apology that she'd had to cast to the side. And then, there were the few that stayed long enough to explain themselves, usually with some hard-to-believe story. They probably thought that she cared somehow, or that they were hurting her by leaving. Ha. In fact, the most honest excuse she had ever been given was some griffin's need to get back to his lifemate. What was his name again...? Oh well.

"Mmm... You were wonderful, weren't you?" Finally allowing her to see, her eylids peeled back halfway. Her neck stretched out, and she grabbed the tip of Jono's scaly tail in a gentle and playful n**. It was nice not to have a mouthfull of fur for showing this kind of affection, that was for sure.

The mutant let out a pleased, low, growl as the female paid attention to his tail. My, my, she really knew his good spots. Not surprising after two whole nights of fun however. The two now knew each other in ways that many kimera could never get close to knowing... Unless they had the same sort of interactions that he and Zwi did of course.

He chuckled and let one more of his eyes opened to better focus on the other. "Bored? Really? Most fun I've had in a while. You have quite the talent when it comes to this sort of thing. Know how to keep me interested, that's for sure."

He smirked for a moment before snaking his head around so he could give the other's neck a lick with his black tongue.

"I try," she said slyly, a chill going down her spine as his tongue stroked her neck. Getting past the chill, she finally felt awake. She wasn't the only one that knew all the right buttons to push. Stretching slightly, she shook of her own volition, slowly rising above the other raptor. Yep. Handsome from every angle, just how she liked them.

"And I never show someone every trick at once. Keeps 'em coming back, you know?" ... Did he? She didn't really think about it before, but perhaps Jono didn't realize that he wasn't her first by a long shot. Zwi couldn't recall mentioning it. After all, that kind of talk ruins the mood faster than you can say 'protection.' Histories aside, he was one of the most intriguing lovers she'd ever had. It only made her wonder what other femmes he'd been with in the past. Far from jealous, she was more curious than anything. It didn't matter. Today, it was them, and tomorrow, one or both of them could be with someone else for all she knew. That just was how things went.

"You up for some.... Hm, suppose it'd be lunch, Jono?" she asked, using his real name for once instead of some steamy nickname.
