Ever wanted a smoke grenade, but don't want to go through all the hassle and expense of buying one? Well, here you are! How to make your very own smoke grenade! I'll definitely be trying this at the first chance I get. This and thermite. NOTE: the video is on Funnyjunk. I couldn't find it on Youtube.

Yeah, yeah, I know. It should read "you're". The error annoys me as well, but it was the only one I could find on google images and I didn't feel like trying to fix it or make my own at the time.

Anyone know where I could get fuse IRL? Fireworks are illegal in AZ, so a fireworks stand is out.

Fresnel Anyone know where I could get fuse IRL? Fireworks are illegal in AZ, so a fireworks stand is out. I'm sure it is pretty simple to make. My best guess is toilet paper rolled up into something that resembles a fuse or a candle wick then rolled in super fine gunpowder. I'll have to research this, as I have a similar problem finding fuse not attached to fireworks already. Anyone else having a hard time finding tree stump remover? confused Edit: Just googled "how to make fuse" and found a bunch of different methods. Current favorite is the 'tape fuse' that involves rolling tape sticky side out into a fuse and then rolling it in powder. Definately test it out first for burn times.

Can you buy firework fuse from firework stands, or would I just have to rip fuses out of the ones I buy?

If I were going to make it myself, I'd just build a cheap Visco fuse machine. Some simple gears, cheap chunks of scrap wood or something, a funnel, eight spools of thread and some black powder. Visco fuse. But I'm really looking to buy, not make. @Requiem: I think you can buy fuse at those stands. That way you can lengthen the stock fuse on a firework.

really Fres? have u forgotten THESE already? the rest of you i can understand... another easier way is take 2-3 ply toilet paper, and "peel" it down to 1 ply, tear in half length wise, wet the sheet(s) and coat in fine Black Powder or Gun powder, roll this between ur hands to form a tight simple cord, let dry / dry it urself with a descant (preferably do this) and be careful because it's generally the most fragile kind of home made fuse EDIT: HA! i knew u were going to bring up the visco machines sooner or later xp as for buying, u can get cheap visco fuse here if u live in USA.

Online is a last resort. I'll keep the site bookmarked, but I'm looking for a physical store. Anyone know if any stores stock this stuff? Home Depot, Hobby Lobby, etc?

Since you're buying saltpeter anyway just use that with some twine. Saltpeter if I recall is used in making fuses. For safe measure if you have no idea how fast it will burn make a 1 or 2 foot fuse.

For safe measure if you have no idea how fast it will burn make a 1 or 2 foot fuse. I considered that, until I found what those fuses were used for: matchlocks. Y'know, the six-inch piece of string that had to smoulder for two hours?

Shrantics Pretentious Ego Man of the Demoneye Anyone else having a hard time finding tree stump remover? S'called thermite. xp Missed that question... you might also try stores that promote home-grown canning. There's food-grade saltpeter for curing meats. It's been largely replaced with "pink salt", but there are purists. Last resort: voodoo shop.
