The night was just beginning and Remy was out looking for a new place to hit up. In general, he hadn't been in the district for long, but he had no qualms about exploring the area and seeing what it had to offer. It didn't take him a great amount of time to find the casino around here either. With a light smirk, he went on and entered, taking note of the other cats around. No familiar faces as he suspected, but it mattered little.

After getting a decent feel of his surroundings, he walked on in further before finding a lone table for the time being. Oh he didn't plan on keeping to himself for long. He just needed to see what sort of characters were around first. and perhaps have a drink or two before getting down to business.

From the looks of things, there were already a few in the area playing various games. That was rather prospective to see.

As another cat approached him, his eyes trailed up to meet with hers. For a moment his quirked his brow. Considering where they were, he hadn't expected to meet anyone who was capable of speaking French. That aside, she was quite a looker too. Then, glancing down at the glance she had set down, he soon grinned and nodded lightly.

"Why o'course mon cheri. De name's Remy LeBeau, t'ough most call me Gambit. 'N thanks for de drink," he said as he took the glass and drank from it.

"So what sorta game will it be, chere?"

Gambit couldn't help but agree with Denali's statement. Many of the people here only knew English if they knew a language other than Japanese. It was rather nice to have a touch of familiarity around here, or at least a little piece like home.

"A pleasure t'meet ya as well Denali," nodded Remy before his eyes lit up with interest, "Do I know it? O'course I do chere! Tis one o'my favorites in fact."

With a smirk of sorts, he extended his hand to the other side of the table as if asking her to go ahead and take a seat so that they may begin their game.

"Ready?"

With a sly grin, he nodded again and awaited the cards to be dealt. After taking a quick peek at what his hand was, he looked up towards Denali as she asked him something. Casually, he gave a shrug, though added a few things with it.

"I'm a man dat enjoys his games o'chance," he smiled, "I 'appened t'be in de area 'n 'eard o' dis place so I thought I'd come check it out. Dere ain't many places like dis around 'n all."

Quirking a brow, he stared at her inquisitively before shooting a question of his own.

"N what about you chere? How'd ye come 'bout dis place?"

At his turn, he thought about what to do for a moment or so before placing a few down to draw a few as well. Gambit looked up towards the other cat briefly as she told her story. He would have said something along the lines of an apology to hear for her loss, but she didn't seem all too disturbed by that bit now that she had seemingly found her place.

"Well one thing's for sure, Japan doesn't lack in de 'lights' department... at least in Tokyo," he grinned before placing down a bet as well, "But tis still quite different from de states yes. 'N I gotta say tis a rather nice thing you managed t'find such a place."

"Different ain't so bad anyways, right chere?"

He grinned at her amiably briefly before looking back at his hand. It wasn't the greatest hand but for now he'd let it slide. It wouldn't be good to anger the owner of the place after all. Especially not with the very first game they're playing. Remy left the bets at what they were at and went ahead to reveal his hand; three Jacks and two fives.

For a moment, Gambit stared at the hand she laid out which had beat his own but not by a whole lot. Chuckling at the results, he scooped up his cards to return them to the dealer before looking back at his new acquaintance. Over all he didn't spend much time thinking about his reply to her questions.

"A few more games in de least," he smiled, "N sure, why not?"

Soon after he spoke up, he looked at his new hand, keeping a fairly neutral expression about his face. It had been a little while since he last was able to enjoy a good game and drink, so tonight was definitely quite nice. On top of that, he was able to meet a new face who also had a touch of home within her.
