Kuuro Kitten
All was silent in the house. No one seemed to be stirring much, or rather were they all doing other things that were more important? Whatever the case, the crackle of static emitted from the television in the living room. For a moment a flicker of something popped into view but then it was gone for a brief moment as well. The sound of someone trying to talk could also be heard through the crackling of static. "Hel-lo?" It sounded like a familiar voice but anyone could be mistaken. Again the television flickered with static but soon the vision of the kidnapped kuppy came into view. "Seth? Eli? Hunter? Is anyone there?"

She sounded as if she were in distress, in a rush to speak but whatever the case she continued on, hands pressed against the screen in fashion of actually being trapped in the tv and not another dimension. "I don't... I'm sorry! I messed up- they- are after me- I don't know who they- but I got away-" Her words were broken up flickering in and out with the static and the picture. "Can't keep running- find me, please! I don't know what-"

Soon the picture went blank but the noise continued, static, crackling and then she screamed. All went blank moments later. Only a small glint of something shinny remained on the floor. The engagement ring she'd been given by Seth.

After dropping Hunter off at Ruri's place, the cheetah Hyte drove straight back to the apartment- going quite a bit faster than usual. Traffic laws seemed a bit of a petty thing given the situation at hand.

As he approached his apartment door, he paused briefly with his paw on the handle at what he heard inside. Is that... Noe's voice? The shock quickly wore off, and he hurried to unlocked the door, making it inside just in time to hear the scream. The tv turning off caught his attention and he hurried over to inspect the box. "Noe?" he asked desperately, wondering if he had been hallucinating. Then, something shiny on the floor below caught his attention. The cheetah Hyte stooped down to pick it up, and paled considerably when he saw that it was Noe's ring. Slowly turning back around, he finally noticed that he wasn't alone in the room. "... What's going on? What did I just miss?"

Eli pointed at the TV, blinking. "I think--transworld communication hijack?" The words tumbled out and the kuppy wasn't sure they made sense together, but he couldn't believe what he had just seen--and he saw odd things all the time. "Whatever's happened--it sounds like we need to get there quickly." His mind was still trying to wrap around the logistics of what how Noe's message had even been possible, given what he knew about world travel. Then again... "Someone's definitely after her. It sounds like she was able to break away from them, though... It just popped on."

Haevan also found himself staring after the now dead message. It had made him cringe namely due to Noe's desperation added to Seth imminently following after. The situation was bad; worse then Eli had explained in all reality. While the Kuppy had summed the majority of it up...this gave the situation a whole new light. "Aye, but.. eet gives new meanin' ta figure out how ta get.." he gestured to the tv. "there. Ta that other world. 'n soon."

Haevan been resting against a wall in the living room, eyes only now un-gluing from the tv and casting the despairing Cheetah Hyte a worried look. He'd promised to help in the search for Noe; he'd go one way or another. From the looks of it, they'd be leaving now, which was fine. His gear was packed, and had been since he'd learned of Noe's disappearance to another realm.

Kamiko's little ears twitched as she played back Noe's broken message in her head. While the shock of seeing her like that was great, her superhero mind quickly snapped her out of it. She kept running the message back through her head again and again. But her thoughts also returned to her kuppy boyfriend, this was his sister after all. She walked over and put a hand on Eli's shoulder.

"Eli-kun, can Shimy-sama maybe trace the call of sorts? We could bring her hear and let her try if the distortion caused by the magic used to make it still exist," once again her mind began to churn. She had also offered her support in bringing Noe back home, both the superhero in her and the fellow Hytech in her made it her desire.

She looked back to Haeven, the fellow canine. She could tell he was definitely ready to go. She knew he had also offered to help. Her eyes last fell on Seth, the female kuppy's future mate. Her big heart broke a bit for him, knowing the woman he loved was trapped and having no real ability to get to her. But then again, that's why superheros like her and Eli existed; to help in these situations.

So Noe had managed to get away? That was generally a good thing, but... the scream just now had said otherwise. They definitely needed to hurry. "Guys, grab whatever you think you might need. Hunter can open a portal to wherever Noe's been taken, and we're meeting back at the spot where she disappeared just as soon as we all get there." The cheetah Hyte hurried off to his room to grab his pack. Like Haevan, he had been prepared for such an event long ahead of time. As he came back out into the living room, he said, "I'll drive."

Haevan in turn nodded to his fellow canine, the Shiba Inu Hyte. He'd gotten to know her more by chance due to the recent happenings. She was here more for Eli's support but just as with the Kuppy he liked her. Hopefully.. it would make this outing do-able. Hunter was a challenge all unto his own.

Quickly ducking into his room, he secured his pack onto his back and entered the living room nodding to Seth. " 'ah'll go start the car?" The wolf passed by his long time friend and headed out to the car. Better to get things going then wait. Let them do as they will as long as they had some idea of what the hell they were doing. Portals? Nothing he had experience with. Other worlds? Sure, as long as it brought Noe back safe and sound he'd help. Leaning back in the seat he stared out the window waiting.

"I'll call Shimy while we're driving," Eli told Kamiko, placing his hand on top of hers briefly. He tried to think if there was anything he really needed--not really, not besides the brooch he wore everywhere anyway. Everything was moving so fast--but that was a good thing, wasn't it? The sooner they got to where they were going, the sooner they could find Noe. He shivered slightly as he could feel Kamiko's sympathy for Seth, echoed even more by the physical contact.

More than anything, he realized, he was going to need to get stronger--this was going to be a difficult mission for the empathic kuppy when so many hearts were on the verge of breaking around him. Elti would be able to help him a little, but...this was something he needed to do, for his sake and everyone else's.

Kamiko picked up a backpack she always had seemed to carry around lately. Something metal clinked in it but otherwise it was a pretty nondescript backpack. "I'm always ready for whatever is necessary. Lets go!"

Through her touch with Eli, something changed. Like a light clicking on. She was going into superhero mode basically. She was completely calm, strangely calm but calm none the less. She stood strong and proud as she walked to the door to join Haeven in the car. She simply made a quick call to her mother informing her of her soon to be disappearance.

She did wonder though, how she would get along with the raccoon hyte. They had never had a good relationship, most of it being yelling matches. But she put it in her mind that he was helping, that he had just as much friendly feelings towards Noe that they all did, and all of this was going to keep her line around him. Not that she expected the same from him but she would at least be as civil as Inu possible.

Haevan had just got off his own phone, his own father would have panicked if he up and vanished without a word or some sort of heads up. Not that he blamed him. Shifting in his seat he turned to face her a small smile of his face. At least she seemed calm, Eli..some were in between and Seth simply was a nervous wreck granted he was trying to stay strong.

They all were really. Even as he fiddled with his seat belt uncertainty lingered. That of course was buried as not to interfere there was things to be done. Even as his fingers drummed lightly on his knee the wolf made a mental note of things. "So.. how is this gunna 'ah work." He waited to speak until everyone was in ear shot. "Runnin' in like headless chicken's 'n blind fightin' ain't gunna get us far. Might make us feel 'ah bit better.." Haevan shrugged as if the rest was pointless to say.

Since everyone seemed pretty much already prepared, the four had made it out the door of the apartment a lot sooner than the cheetah had anticipated. So far, so good. While the four of them got settled in the car, Seth's ears perked at the wolf Hyte's inquiry. "I'm not entirely sure," he admitted, shifting the car into drive and taking off. truth be told, he had been rather tempted to do just that. Of course, as Haevan had pointed out, that would have been utterly reckless and foolish, and in the long run wouldn't help things out much. "We don't really have any idea of what kind of world we'll be going to after all. Perhaps just try to keep low and look for a scent trail at the same time?" This really wasn't Seth's area of expertise, but he wasn't about to let that stop him from trying anyway. At least with Haevan and Kamiko coming along they had a much better chance of finding her.

Eli was half listening to the conversation in the car and half talking to Shimy on the phone--or, rather, Txori, as Shimy was busy doing her own version of tracking. He also half spoke to his companions in the car, leading to a very disjointed conversation. "You said Hunter's going to be opening the portal? Ah--I think--there are power flares Txori can trace, they think they know where we're going..." He fell silent as he listened to the voice on the other end, a pensive look on his face. "It's a neutral world, and based on what Shimy and Txori are telling me we should arrive in a fairly neutral location--but that makes me wonder if we'll have to do a second world hop." Why would Noe have been taken into a neutral setting if she'd been kidnapped? This just wasn't making much sense... "The Ti'ama of that world is sleeping so they don't have a lot of help they can offer us in that regard. Shimy says she might be able to get in touch with someone on the surface of that world--but also that we shouldn't depend on it, I guess her contact's kind of a shifty character?" He paused again, and then added a quick, "Thank you, Txori, I'll use Elti to keep in touch" before clicking the flip phone shut. "At least it sounds like we won't be dropping into someplace where we'll immediately have to fight."

Haevan couldn't help wondering if in part this was all..a bit hair brained. Alright, granted they'd have two canine's, one being a super hero, the other being himself, a raccoon trained on survival techniques, an empathic kuppy and Seth who hadn't a single magick bone in his body. Not that Haevan did, but the wolf had lived among werewolves from the time of his prototype days. He'd ran with them, and hunted with them. He could hold his own despite his small size.

"Eet might be wise," Haevan's ears layed back. "'n perhaps 'ah team fer communication. Sendin' every'un inta the wild is askin' for trouble." He remarked in a serious almost unlike himself manner. "'Ah dun't wanna see anyone get hurt, 'r else there will be some thrashin' on the opposite side." Haevan concluded arms crossing tightly over his chest.

At Eli's conclusion of what his grandmother had to say the wolf gave the kuppy a puzzled look. "Well, that 'n eets self is good. But..ye 'r right Eli." he frowned. "We're missin' sumthin'." The wolf watched the scenery go by mulling over what to do. When they caught up with Hunter they'd need to organize themselves. Everyone running off to go frolic in unknown terrtory was asking to be killed. Maybe if there was some way to make a line of communication and track for Noe..that would be best.

"Well if what you said is true then we are dealing with bounty hunters despite it being a neutral world. They are rather smart and extremely dangerous, but rarely deal in magic. Thugs, toughs, and typical shifty characters run the worst bounty hunting operations," Kamiko spoke from the back of the car where she sat with Haeven. One thing Kamiko hadn't really told anyone she was doing while on that long trip away was learning about crime syndicates. Gangs, mobs, the underground market; all those things Kamiko had studied and even personally investigated to give her a better sense of the her enemy. In her mind, a superhero needed to know her enemy before they ran all willy nilly into a fight.

"A large group might set off major suspicions, not to mention if we all get seperated during a fight we will be at a major disadvantage. We need to make teams of some sort. One for communicating back to our world and one for infiltrating the ranks. Smaller 2 or 3 man teams stand a better chance of finding out information on the inside than our large group of five," she mulled over the situation but it wasn't entirely her place to say who should go and who should hide out. She could easily hold her own in any physical fight; Hunter could as well given his traning with Noe; Haeven should be able to also if his account with werewolves was true. It was Seth and Eli she worried about.

Seth hardly seemed the phyiscal fighting type and his worry for Noe could compromise the team if he went. Eli was still suffering from his empathy and she worried it could cause him some serious damage. She looked to her fellow canine for his insight on her suggestions. It was strange, as the Shiba Inu sat with him and discussed strategy it was as if they were bonding in a way. Immediately falling into a rhythm that she hadn't felt before but seemed natural and safe.

The cheetah Hyte stayed quite as he drove, not particularly liking the direction that the conversation seemed to be going in. While it all made sense logistically, it also seemed to be slowly indicating that it might be best if he wasn't directly involved in the searching process. One way or another I will search for Noe, he thought to himself, ear flicking once lightly. He decided against voicing this opinion for the time being however and instead focused on simply getting them there.

Once again Seth made rather good time in getting to the warehouse, although he took better care in his driving this time than before considering all of the others that were in the car with him. "Hunter should be arriving shortly, if he's not here already," he remarked as he shut the car off and took the key out of the ignition. "Let's head inside."

Haevan even felt the sense of ease with the female. Like his an Eli's first meeting there was a natural ryhem and reason as if she'd always been some one he'd assosicated with. Perhaps his mind questioned it was due to there genetic make up? She was also a good person all around, and easy to get along with. They were both canines, pack animals by nature. Regardless of the reason, it made for smoother opperation. Whatever it was, he took it in stride. Accept the small victories for what they were.

"Aye. Havin' 'ah large group means more attention drawn." He nodded to Kamiko's assestment, with a small sigh. "'ah knnow everyone wants ta look fer her..but lives 'r at stake. 'specially if ye turn out ta be right Kamiko." The idea seemed to make more sense. Even 'neutral' worlds had there disadvantages, there scum. Call it what you wanted, it didn't matter so long as they got to her.

Once the care had stopped the Wolf climbed out of the car and leaned on the hood of it. His golden gaze swept the area looking for any sign of Hunter. It had been a good chunk of time since he'd last spoken to the Raccoon. Although the last time had been on friendly terms..they'd played video games together. Sighing he crossed his arms over his chest shifting his weight to one side.

For now the Wolf put his emotions aside. Focus on the task at hand, not the one ahead and you might live to see another day. He tilted his head sniffing the air out of habit. Some things never change. "Seth.. 'r ye alright? Eli? Kamiko?" He asked in turn.
