Radoslava chewed without enthusiasm at a mouthful of dry grass. Nothing tasted good in winter. She missed the long days of summer with the fruit and the clover flowers. Now... there was nothing. She could swear she'd been losing weight as it was.
Maybe she ought to go find that village of humans and sneak some of their food. She never had a hard time getting snacks from the children who loved putting braids into her long mane. Doing that sort of thing was too close to begging though, and she was too prideful a creature to want to beg for anything. She grumpily reflected on this fact, and chewed another mouthful of grass.

Princess Pocket Lint wandered out from her little cave. Her eyes scanning the area for any immediate danger. Her ears flicked back in obvious fear for what might be out there. Quickly, she made her way out of the clearing near the opening of her small cave to the forest edge. The weather was noticeably colder, and she had notice there to be less of a selection when it came to things to eat. It was fortunate she didn't find herself being picky during these months of the year.
As she wandered out, she passed by another usdia mare. It didn't register in her mind, until she saw the mare through her peripherals. The mare stopped, tensing up visible. Her head turned slightly towards the direction of the mare, watching her for a brief moment.

Radoslava noticed another usdia mare passing by. She hadn't realized that there was another usdia in the area. They weren't exactly rare... but neither were they so common that she expected to see one near every patch of grass. She had been intending on ignoring the other mare, but suddenly she squinted and refocused.
"What is wrong with you?" she gasped upon seeing the stitches that covered the mare. It was horrifying! It looked as if she had been sewn together like the human's clothing or dolls!

Princess Pocket Lint stared at the mare in confusion. She looked at herself, at least looking down to her hooves, the stretched about to examine her own body. From what she assessed, nothing was wrong with her. "W-w-what's wrong with me?" She asked nervously. Her eyes darted around, looking for any danger that would spring up and possibly attack her.

"You mean... you normally look like that?" Skepticism was evident in both Radoslava's bearing and tone. She gave the other mare another look over. Maybe she did just have somewhat awkward markings. She could see that now. "Poor thing," she mused while continuing to admire the other mare's oddity.
She noticed that there was a skittish look to the other mare too. It did nothing to make her look less odd. Conscious of her own appearance, Radoslava drew herself up a little straighter.

"Y-yes...?" The mare answered hesitantly. "I looked like this since I was b-born." She said a bit nervously, and in a quiet tone of voice. She nervously swirled one of her hooves on the grass. "If you m-mean the ss-st-stitching, it c-comes from my dad." The mare quirked a brow. "..w-why?" She didn't understand what the mare was saying about her.
The stitched colored mare simply looked at the quite pretty usdia mare in front of her. It definitely different from her own unique looks.

"It's odd." Radoslava flatly delivered her words. She wasn't in the habit of softening her sentiments and wasn't now. The mare was simply odd looking! She had to know it. It had to be impossible to not know. She stepped closer and looked harder at the markings. Odd indeed.
"Do you have an equally odd name to go with your odd looks?" This she said with a smile. If she was going to see this mare around, she had to know what to call her other than 'odd mare.' Blinking back to look at her face, she continued. "My name is Radoslava. I'd prefer if you didn't use a nickname for that."

Princess Pocket Lint simply looked at the mare, feeling a bit self-conscious now. Her eyes dropped down to look at the ground. "I g-guess it's odd..." She said softly. "I c-can't really h-help the way I look." She said simply, her eyes still focused on the ground beneath her.
The mare picked her head up for a brief moment. Her blue-gray eyes staring at the mare for a moment, before focusing her attention elsewhere. "P-princess Pocket Lint." She said softly, wondering if the mare was going to ridicule her for her name also. "R-radoslava?" She asked. It was interesting. Nothing she had heard of before.

"... Pocket Lint?" Radoslava's question mirrored the other mare's. Princess Pocket Lint. An odd name for an odd mare. "It suits you very well, I think," she said with a note of amusement. "But yes, Radoslava. It's a pretty unusual name for around here, isn't it? But I'm not exactly a usual usdia." She meant that about herself in a positive way, of course.
Suddenly she scoffed, though in a more friendly manner. "You know, I don't bite. I'm not the world's smallest skinwalker or anything. You don't have to be so nervous."

Pocket Lint nodded her head slowly. The mare tilted her head to the side a bit. "O-oh.. Thank you.." She said quietly. The mare had no idea what her name meant, mostly because she didn't know what a 'Pocket' or 'Lint' was. "W-where are you from?" She asked, wondering if that's what the mare was trying to say. She was starting to get confused by the manner that the other mare spoke.
Her ears flicked back. "I'm s-sorry.. It's j-just how I am." She said a bit deflated. She had been like this since birth. The only difference was that she was less panicky now than she had been as a foal. She cringed thinking back to those previous experiences.
