Same here, sort of.

My feeling is more of "Wow, other bands here are way better then my band."

We work hard, but sometimes I feel like we aren't very good, and at other times I do. I also tend to feel like we are A) Not improving or getting worse or B) getting worse. Seeing as we have pretty much the same score all year at festivals, and then if you look at exact points, we went down a bit.

Only a select few work hard and focus in my band,
I feel like the onyl section in my band that actually has pride is my section, the clarinets, the low brass and the drumline and the color guard..
The rest are just....UGH
I have reasons:
Clarinets: of the 38 of us there is always 36 of us at a given practice (even if we have drivers ed or most of us are in track/wrestling/student gov we still make sacrifices while the hi brass ditch to go to the mall or go home and while the flutes barely show up) We always bring our supplies (LIke I carry an unopened box of reeds with me incase someone breaks theres, its attached to my dot book so its easy to acess) MOst of our section learns the music and memorizes it very quickly and well.
DRUMLINE: have the most pride.
spending hours doing ssectionals in the band room and on the field before and on non practicces days.
The pit shows up 2 hours before practice and rehearses until we have to go for the run and stretch. The drumline goes on outings, they do a SERVICE PROJECTS TWICE A YEAR, They always keep going, regardless of how tired or sick they are. theyre our driving force.
LOW BRASS: The most tight nit section in the band. always working hard, lthough they may not practice often they have trust and discipline and always delivers.
GUARD: works even harder than the line. always working their asses off , running extra laps doing extra work and doing all the band fundraisers and 2 services projects a year. They do so many things I have no words to escribe it.


But, one bad apple spoils the bunch
Flutes: dont know how to shut up. they cant hold themselves still for 10 seconds. their SL is stupid and doesnt know how to shut up and he is such wannabe FOB and texts on the fieldd, god I was ready to strangle his neck =_=
HIgh brass: doesnt even give a crap the horns never pay attention and are always texting they lso ont respect their section leader. its become so bad that shes quiting this year because they disobey her so much.
