Maion closed his eyes, enjoying the last of the sun licking his pelt. It was warming and made a change from the cold of the evening -but that was when he did his duty. Just like the oceans where controlled by the Moon he too was effected by it, his world revolved around the Moon.

Slowly he spread his wings and opened his eyes, he was standing on the egde of the cliff at the highest point of the mountain -a place that only the Angeni could reach.

It was time.

With a graceful run he leaped from the edge, his wings catching the wind causing the updraft to push him back up as he slowly began to glide over the Ocean. It seemed quiet at the moment. Peace filled his heart.

Abloec was stood on the beach where he had woken to find himself nearly a year ago, though he still knew nothing about how he had gotten so far from home. He knew in his heart though that he was very far from them distance wise. Sighing, having become happy in this place, though he really disliked the cold of the winter. It was a good place and he had made friends and even fallen in love, but not knowing was always eating away at the back of his mind.

Stepping back as the tide started to come in, feeling cold enough without the extra chill from the water. Sighing as he turns away walking up the beach away from the water. Looking up as the sky lightens with the sunrise, smiling a little, letting the sight cheer him, though it would be a while before its light and warmpth shon on him.

Maions eyes scanned the Ocean, it seemed calm and still tonight -just the way he liked it, there had been far too much 'excitment' recently that it was starting to wear him out. There was only so much damage he could take from jellyfish, skinwalkers and kalonas before his body needed rest. Hopefully tonight would be such a time.

The breeze was beginning to pick up blowing his hair in a wave like motion, he looked over his shoulder to see the paw of Elijah gripping on to his hair for dear life, "Are you ok?" He spoke, his words getting a little lost due to the wind. A wriggle, a tug of hair, and then suddenly his little foxes head appeared with a worried look peeled over her face before a little squeaky voice spoke, "Yes... but I don't like the wind, can we go to the land for a little while?" Her eyes pleaded with him, and as always he couldn't resist her charm. He had saved her years before from a skinwalker who had destroyed the rest of her family, it was part of the reason for his hatred towards them. They killed for sport rather than need, they where a wave of destruction that needed to be wiped out -one by one he aimed to do that. Nodding to his little familar he flapped his mighty wings once more and leaned to his left so that he started to glide towards the beach.

It took him a while to notice the figure standing on the beach but as he approached he placed a gentle smile upon his lips, he didn't want to scare the stranger -it wasn't as if the stallion was attacking an innocent or causing trouble, he was simply standing on the beach.

Landing with a soft 'thump' of hooves he turned to look at the stallion, something seemed 'off' about him and the caring nature of Maion leapt forward. "Are you ok stranger?" Pulling his wings close to his sides once more he approached slowly -again not wanting to scare him.

Abloec looked at the soquili that had just dropped out the sky and blinks a few times, he had seen winged soquili before but not ones with many wings. Looking a little confused, shaking his head to clear it. Some questions were rude, others were just impertanant, and he had no desire to be either. He knew there were other types of soquili, though he had met few of them. Heck he didn't even know what kind his father had been, but that was for another time.

Shifting to a more comfortable stance, looking at the winged stallion. Reminded of the night sky with the black and white of him. But he hadn't done anything worse than surprise him so there was no reason not to smile, so he did. He had an easy going smile and a friendly face, despite his horns, though the red shades covering his eyes often made him look odd compared to the others, but he didn't mind. Taking a couple of steps sideways as the tide continued to creep up the beach.

Looking back to the winged stallion and considers his question, thinking he had better answer soon. Afterall he had been stairing at home for he had no idea how long, and that could raise interesting questions. He could just imagine how his mate Leotie would laugh over that. "I'm fine, I was just, thinking too much... Have you ever noticed how thinking rarely leads to smiles? Remembering... Now lots of smiles there... But thinking, not so much... Sorry." His expression sheepish, having a tendancy to ramble occasionally.

Remembering, that was something that Maion did often. Sitting alone in his cave during the day or before he left for his duty was the worst times, all he could do was remember. His mothers memories where not sad though, she had taught him to understand the world, to be as the other breeds expected -a true Angeni- yet he missed her, and although he would never admit it he would often find himself crying. Elijah (his fox familar) would never say anything but instead just nestle herself close to him. Without her he would have gone mad a long time ago. The sad part of his mothers memory was that one day she simply didn't return, Maion was only a foal and had never flown from the cave alone and when he had tried to go looking for his mothers trail he hadn't made it from from the cave -oh no- instead he had plumetted into the Ocean and nearly drowned. If it hadn't been for a school of fish who helped to push him back to the shore he would most likely now be dead. He could still remember the long harsh walk back up the mountain as he dared not fly -it had been years until he left the cave again, living on the plants that grew around his home.

Yes he agreed with the stranger, thinking often bore few smiles unless you thought of the right thing. The question was -what could this stallion possibly be thinking about at this time of night that would make him forget about the cold? Curious -but it was not Maions place to ask, if the stranger wanted to share then he would.

"I understand." He continued to smile before speaking once more, "My name is Maion, I am the Angeni of the Ocean." Slowly he bowed his head before looking towards the stranger once more, "may I enquire about your name?"

Abloec looks at the stallion, shaking off the chill and his frowns, not usually the gloomy type. Glad of the small blanket on his back it helped a little with keeping the chill at bay, but not allot. Smilng at the dark stallion. "My name is Abloec, and I'm not the anything of anything I'm afraid, but its nice to meet you." His usual friendly smile back as he greets Maion. "Sorry for rambling before, I was just thinking over the last year, trying to make sense of some things. But even now some things are still a mystery." Shrugging a little, still smiling, trying not to let what he had been thinking about bother him.

"It is nice to meet you Abloec." The whole 'nothing of nothing' sentence make Maion feel slightly bad, but he was proud of his breed -his Mother had always taught him to be proud and show those around him the qualities of an Angeni. Yet despite everything no matter what Abloec felt right now he was something to someone, or would be one day. It was not usually within Maion's nature to pry but something about Abloecs aura told him that he needed someone to talk to -perhaps a fresh perspective on the situation would help him? "We all ramble from time to time."

He paused for a moment, stepping closer to the stallion before looking out on the Ocean for a second before looking to Abloec, "do you need help figuring anything out?" He hoped that maybe in some small way he could help Abloec. "Perhaps a second mind may be able to figure out your problem?" Turning his head he looked towards the stallion and offered a small warming smile.

Abloec sighs a little but keeps a slight smile on his face, as the weather was starting to show signs of warming up he was begining to loose his winter grumpyness. "True, I suppose we do, but its an oddly useless reaction to things." Shaking his head and laughing a little, thinking of some of the more embarasing rambles that he had gone off on. Looking back out to sea again thinking over what he had said, maybe Maion was right. "Perhaps, because I've had no luck trying to work out what happend."

Moving closer to him, away from the cold water. Not sure where to start, but it might help to work out if he was really far from his family like he thought he was. "Have you traveld far on your many wings?" Looking at the lovely white wings the stallion had, though hiw he managed with 4 was bamboozleing to him. Leotie his mate and his father had only had one set of wings. But it didn't matter really, wings were wings, he doubted the number or type made allot of difference apart from in apearence.

Maion could tell that this stallion was riddled with questions -questions that he had no way to know the answers to. He remembered that feeling well -the hoplessness that lurks in the shadows while you try and find something happier to fill the gap- for him it had been the reason why his mother had left him. To this day he only knew the facts, not the true reason, not the emotion behind her act. The fact was that she left to attend to a basket she had found, and then that basket turned out to be a pure SW who she called Kimi. She was convinced that she could make her see the light and be good -but the true nature of Kimi always surfaced with her hunger, a hunger that only seemed to be satisfied by blood and flesh. He didn't wish to pry, despite his curiousity but it seemed this stallion needed help. "What do you remember? If anything?"

As the subject changed Maion found himself glancing at his wings. He loved his wings and just like his mother had taught him he was proud of his breed and tried to keep up her lessons in his every day life. He nodded softly, not wishing to brag. "I have seen my share of the world." He wasn't entirely sure how he could help this stallion, and didn't want to make the situation worst or uncomfortable.

Sighing thinking he might as well start at the begining, that way nothing is misunderstood."Ok but lets move up off the beach because it could be a long story, and its cold enough without the tide coming in and making us all wet." Heading up the beach and over the bluff with Maion, away from the water and out of the cold wind, feeling much more comfortable by the time he stops.

Smiling sadly at Maion he puts things in order in his mind. "Where I come from is a desert land, scortching hot... as far as my family herd traveled I never remember seeing anything other than sand and the odd oasis... One day about a year ago everything changed, I woke up and instead of golden sand and harsh sunlight I was here, with green grass and shady trees... I don't know how I got here, I woke up on the beach, half in the water... The last thing I remember before that was going to fetch some water for my pregnant mother." His smile fading, feeling the twinge of loss for his family. "Thats pretty much it, after I got here I just got on with finding my feet." Looking at the darker stallion, not sure if what he had said would help clarify things, but then with any luck any questions that rose would be asked.
