Byhel knew he had a lot to be thankful for in his life. His mother didn't hate him, in fact, she loved him more than she had ever loved Cryta, his runaway brother, who had left without a single word...not even ‘good-bye’. Did Cryta think he meant nothing? Hadn’t Byhel loved him enough? Looked after him, day after day? Didn’t that silly little runt realize that their mother spent days looking for him after he ran off? Even now, after so long, she’d glance around as if expecting him to be there. After Byhel had grown up to be a demonic, the cloud that had rendered her frantically biased all his childhood, had vanished.
“Now, what was it worth Cryta? You ran away from nothing.”
The blue demon huffed irritably, smacking a paw against the lake surface. It splashed and then rippled under his touch, sending shockwaves across the surface until once more all was calm.
"Calm. Everything is far too calm."

The Princess had a wandering spirit, and a light set of paws. Together this meant she pretty much went wherever she wanted, whenever she wanted. And since she'd gotten this knew urge to wander, she did just that. Granted, it had taken her a bit of talking to get around Lisia's constant worrying... But Lis knew as well as Fleur herself did that sometimes all she could do was let her sibling get into trouble.
And Fleur would be lying if she said she wasn't looking for a bit of trouble. Though most of those thoughts melted away as she stepped up to the lake's edge to drink and was hit by a small wave. She jerked up and sneezed softly, shaking her head to dislodge the crystal drops still beading her cheeks.
Bi-colored eyes flickered over the now smooth water to the male on the opposite bank, widening faintly. A blue-coated male stood on the far bank, blue coated with great wings of wine and deep-night.
"Oh..." She smiled faintly and nodded her head in greeting. "Good day, My Lord. Forgive me on intruding upon your solitude."
She glanced around and gave a faint frown. "I trust I have not encroached upon a Pride's Land, though if that is the case, I apologize and insist it was not to my knowledge... I'm a wanderer by nature, and from a foreign land to make matters worse, I'm afraid I do not know my way around too well as of yet."
Wow, that was as polite as she'd been in a long time... But then, she knew better then to shoot her mouth off to any strange male, much less one like this.

He wasn't alone.
Byhel raised his head, his gaze bordering on menacing and crossing into fierce. He supposed he really didn't mean to come off as such, but he wasn't in the mood to socialize much less with some random lioness that decided to whispered from the mist and interrupt his solitude.
"It's nothing." The demonic shrugged his shoulders,"Don't bother yourself with such formalities."
It was a nice change though, he would admit.
"And you're in no one's land. If it is then I've been walking in enemy territory my whole life and the leaders of this pride must be a bunch of lumps."
Byhel managed a smirk at his own words as he situated himself into a more comfortable position, looking more like a gargoyle on the edge of a skyscraper than an actual lion.
"So, lioness, what are you implying with all this talk on ignorance? A tour? I'm not much of a tourguide. You should seek company elsewhere."

If he thought that glare was going to chase her off, he had another thing coming. A line of fur right down her spine stood up as she laid her ears back in silent warning, eyes narrowing faintly.
Oh, he started out nice enough. Didn't like her manners, hmm? Then she wouldn't use them. Lumps? Somehow she doubted any pride within this place could be called that... They might not kill you on sight, but she doubted they'd let you stroll through their pride for years upon end without saying something. They had kits to raise after all, and this male wasn't exactly a comforting presence.
The ignorance crack is what irked her.
"I was by no means seeking such a thing." She replied as sweetly as possible, wine and silver eyes mocking. "Anyone can see that a guide of any sort is the last thing you would be... And if you were, I can't imagine it would take long for them to fire you."
A snort. "I don't recall seeking company in the first place."
