Since the holidays are just round the corner, I was wondering what all of you celebrate? I myself celebrate Christmas.
How about family traditions? In my family, every christmas eve we're allowed to open ONE presant each, then we go to the church pagent (which I'm always in). Then the next morning we always open our stockings first, then I attack my presants. <3

Christmas, though right now, I'm not too fond of it, and I'm not really looking forward to it..

But then I just found out that all of the random traditional items in Christmas wan't.... Christian related when it started! gonk
Like the tree is all..
"WTF?! Pegan stuff!!"
Then the figurenes are all
"Hoshit! Roman/greek stuff!!"
ToT and the CANDY CANES!!!!
They don't mean "Jesus!! <3" its just... CANDY
Its like the Christians should be celebrating more of a birthday not some scrumptious, snowtime, happy, jolly day crying

Hanukkah. xd And I wouldn't be surprised if I was the only one in this guild who does.
Usually, my family just stays home and celebrates, and we make latkes and matzo ball soup...*mouth waters* Yummy. heart
My dad's parents are Christian, so we used to go up and "celebrate" Christmas with them. We haven't done that for a while, and I'm definitely not minding. My grandparents' house is boring. neutral

We also usually stay home to celebrate, though sometimes we are invited to Hannukah parties. Hey, don't knock it, we get eight days to party. mad But my damned school isn't giving us off until January, lest someone should think that we're celebrating christmas. *gasp* Heaven forbid! I hate my school... stare Anyway, Hannukah is awesome. Latkes(potato pancakes) and sufganiot (jelly donuts) for all!
