As the title says, I'm working on building a fairy deck, and hopefully a good one. I want to stay clear from a counter-fairy deck, but I do wish to build mine around The Sanctuary In The Sky and Valhalla.
I already have a slight 'prototype' deck set up, but comments and advice would be greatly appreciated. whee
Monsters: (20)
Guardian Angel Joan Athena Splendid Venus Archlord Kristya Majestic Mech - Goryu
Marshmallon Nova Summoner Gellenduo (x2) Hecatrice (x2) Zeradias, Herald of Heaven (x2) Honest (x3) Harvest Angel of Wisdom (x2) Radiant Jeral Freya, Spirit of Victory
Spells: (11)
Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen (x2) The Sanctuary In The Sky (x2) Magical Mallet Double Summon Cestus of Dagla (x2) Lightning Vortex Mystical Space Typhoon Pot of Avarice
Traps: (9)
Scrap-Iron Scarecrow Magic Cylinder Sakuretsu Armor Trap Jammer Magic Drain Bottomless Trap Hole Beckoning Light Torrential Tribute Judgement of Anubis

first off, Marshmallon is limited to one. secondly, since you're running LIGHT Fairy-types, a triple-pack of Honests is a must (they're now much easier to get with the new Twilight Packs) and if u can, try and find Archlord Kristya, now only is it a powerhouse, but it stops Special Summons and can be reused repeatedly, plus can fetch back Honest for more Fairy shenanigans. also, i'd recommend giving Beckoning Light a shot, it can help you get all the LIGHT monsters you need when you need it. lastly, try the old staples (MST, Heavy Storm, Torrential Tribute, Solemn Judgment, etc.), these should stabilize the deck into a working-class jewel. hope this helps =P

Ah. I rarely check the lists, as they change too often. xD
Kristya and Heavy Storm would only hinder the deck, as I'm trying to run a lot of special summons with Valhalla, and Storm would destroy Valhalla and Sanctuary.
I am interested in some Honests, and I think I have a Beckoning Light somewhere. Thanks for the tips. =3

you're quite welcome, but have you actually read Archlord Kristya? once you have, you'll start drooling =P

Anyone know any other good non-tribute fairy monsters for the deck?
Also, do you think I should run 2 'Shining Angel's, or maybe just put in one?

just one Shining Angel should do just fine. also (since i forgot about it until now) try giving Cyber Dragon a try too. it's LIGHT and can be very helpful if u find yourself without Valhalla

Well, one of the 'Agent' cards has an effect that proves useful in a friends fairy deck, though I'm not so sure it's as useful here. It's attack power is equal to the difference in life points as long as it's user's life points are higher. I think it's a level three.

Crummy Pandora Well, one of the 'Agent' cards has an effect that proves useful in a friends fairy deck, though I'm not so sure it's as useful here. It's attack power is equal to the difference in life points as long as it's user's life points are higher. I think it's a level three. It's "Agent of Force - Mars", I believe. I'd be willing to run it, but only if I see need after proxy-testing the deck. If I seem to have a good amount of life points, then I'll try it.
@ Randall - That's what I thought. And Cyber Dragon? I'd be interested, except I'd like to keep this a Fairy deck as much as possible. xD

Okay, I have a prototype deck up. Thoughts/opinions?
I think my Monster/Spell&Trap ratio is too even, though. I'd rather have more monsters (if any good non-tribute fairies could be recommended), but I'm bad at picking and choosing which Spells and Traps I need. sweatdrop
Also, how should I proxy? xD I was going to print off the cards, but how do I get the most printed off per sheet of paper?

try taking out one of your Zeradius, it's not a wise idea to run more field searcher monsters than their specific field (excluding the ones that don't destroy themselves). Running 3 when you have only two Sanctuary's in the deck is just asking for a dead draw.
You don't have many targets for shining angel, so why bother when the ones you do have you don't want in attack mode, or are better if you draw them?
Replace scrap-iron scare crow with mirror force. add a second bottomless. take out sakuretsu armor and magic cylinder and add Two Dimensional Prison. replace the trap Jammer, magic drain and Judgement of anubis with 3 dark bribe. Magical Mallet is a minus one, replace it withg a second double summon. Add a Majestic Mech Goyru for a beat down piercer.
That should put you at an even 40, and make the deck flow a bit better, as well as counter your opponant more often.
Plus, having three costless counter traps in the deck, makes your Harvest Angel of Wisdom more useful.

Um, wow.
Let's see. Zeridias is in there x3, because if I have Sanctuary on the field, then it's a normal-summon 2100atk fairy. I don't have a mirror force, though I wish I did. Could look into another bottomless. Dimensional Prison looks nice. I'd like my Anubis in there, but isn't the effect of the opponent drawing a card a bad thing, except for a milling deck? Magical Mallet helps me replace dead draws. Don't really want over five tributes (even with Valhalla), unless you think it would work well.

Trust me, never have more searchers than you have field spells. also, dark bribe is a great card. it has no cost to activate, and negates BOTH spells and traps. So what if your opponant draws one card, chances are, you just negated a game breaker like mirror force or heavy storm with it. Magical mallet can also give you dead draws too. but i can see where your coming from with it. if thats the case, take out a Joan so you have room for that extra double summon. Goryu is a 2900 atk fairy Piercer that can be summoned with one tribute. after it gets sent to the grave by it's own effect (it's not destroyed like ohka for some reason), you can use athena to special summon it next turn.

Personal experience?
Fair enough. Hm, I could take out a Joan for Goryu? I don't mind Goryu, but the Athena thing you mentioned still makes it a two tribute card. confused
[Edit:] Also, the edits you wanted make it a 42 card deck, not 40, seeing as it is a 40 and you added two without switching them out. xD (in the original suggestion, at least)
