Touda ran a hand through his hair, pacing the streets in agitation. He needed to find a way to get to Anise. He needed to save her and Church and his band were hardly better than useless. They didn't have time for gathering intel. They needed to act!
Fingering the flower pendant he wore around his neck for protection, the red-head stomped his foot on the ground in disgust. "This is ridiculous. Someone has to be able to help me..."
Almost as if on cue, he glanced up and saw the door to a shop he could have sworn was not there before. Frowning slightly, he went on in.

"Welcome to Lucky Charm," Kashmira said, not looking up from the piece of jewelry she was painting one the counter. She had actually put newspaper down this time, since Winstead had come home only to give her that look again before cleaning up the paint streaks on the glass. "Where everything has a touch of magic to it."
She frowned, picking up the shield necklace and eyeing it thoughtfully. To be honest she had no idea why she was making such a strange thing, or what, exactly, that creature on the shield was, but it was rather cute!

Touda glanced around the shop, his eyes widening slightly in recognition. "You're the one that made this, right?" He asked, holding up the flower pendant on it's string. "This is where Antony got the charms?" Some of Touda's urgency faded as he kept noticing fascinating things all around the shop.

"Antony," Kash said, making a face as she looked up. Then she grinned. "Well at least he gave it to someone like he said he was going to. So how's it worked so far?" she asked, leaning back in her chair and letting her pendant dry.
He was a cute little kid, wasn't he? "So how do you know Antony, anyway? You don't look like the type to get along with that guy."

"It's worked okay for me..." Touda began. He had no idea wether it was working for Anise or not. "I.. Antony is cool. He could see me, y'know?" The red blushed faintly, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm some kind of ghost or something." He shrugged. He didn't really know exactly what he was.
"Look... can you make big magic?" The anxiety in his voice was unmistakeable.

She frowned, worried now. "No, actually, I'm still learning how to use my luck powers, much less anything bigger," she admitted. "But my boss can. What's wrong, kiddo? Did something happen?"

Touda swallowed, bit his lip and then squared his shoulders. Crossing his arms (were those really claws or just gloves?) he gave a sigh. "Yeah, something happened and I need a..." What was it he would need exactly? "A door. Or a portal. They used a mirror but it broke..." Realizing he wasn't making a lot of sense, he decided to start over.
"My sister was taken. And I have to get her back. But she's in a place I can't get to, and I need a way to get there." There. That should make more sense.

She hesitated. "And you think you've got a chance of saving her when they've got portal magic on them?" she asked, coming out from under the counter. "What you need is someone a lot more powerful than you to go with you or for you. Trust me, I went through the exact same thing."
She frowned, thinking. "You know, I wouldn't pick Winstead to go on a trip like that, but I heard once that Antony's dad, Mister Shade? He took Chris on a trip to another planet."

He took the suggestion thoughtfully, frowning. "I guess..." Vivid eyes narrowed a little. "I don't like the thought of endangering anyone else, though. I was hoping on just getting in and sneaking her out. Or something." Planning and patience were definitely not two of his virtues.
"Antony's dad could make a portal?" He repeated, eyeing the wish dragon. "Do you think he'd do it for me?"

"You could ask him!" she said. "I mean, seriously, he seems like a goofball to me, but he might be able to help. And I'm betting he's a LOT older than he seems," she added, her mind clicking now that she thought about it. "I was told once that dragons were still babies even until they were like, fifty. And he's kind of a dragon, isn't he? I mean, he's got the tail..."

Touda frowned, trying to remember Shade. He'd only met the man once, in the park, and he hadn't been paying too much attention to what he'd looked like. The mononoke had been far too interested in Antony, who could actually see him. Then again, now that he had a human form Shade would be able to see him too.
"I guess it can't hurt." He shot Kash a rakish grin, giving her a glimpse of the boy who lived behind all the current worry. "Can you tell me where they live, though? I don't know."

"Hmmm," she said, angling herself over the counter and pulling out her rakish looking purse. "I know Antony gave me his information at one time or another, but the question is whether I burnt it or not," she said, showing yet again how much she disliked the guy. She hadn't noticed the similarities between Winstead, her boss, and Antony at all.
That was probably for the best for everyone.
"Found it!" she said, pulling out a slip of paper and handing it over. "I only have this because he works for my dad," she explained. "This is in case he's ever late so I can hunt him down and fire him! Except he's... like never, ever, EVER late."

Touda was suprised into a chuckle. He liked this girl, she was spunky. Maybe after Anise was safe he could come back and she could show him more of the small magics she made.
"Thanks. I'm Touda, by the way." Politeness was never something that he cared for or paid particular attention to, but since he wanted her name he figured he ought to give her his first. His eyes scanned the slip of paper, it was lucky he recognized the street name.

"Kashmira, but everyone calls me Kash. Except my Dad, pretty much," she said as she looked around. Then she stopped, cocking her head slightly as she looked at him. "You might be who this is supposed to go to!" she said abruptly, picking up the now dry pendant and slipping it onto the chain she had bought for it.
"You can give it back when you're done," she told him as she offered the necklace. "It's not been finished. Right now all it has is my magic. More offense than defense, you know?"

Taking the necklace, Touda slipped it over his head so that it clicked gently against his flower pendant. "Thanks." He gave another of those little grins. "It's good to meet you, Kash. I'll come back again sometime."
He didn't wait for a response but was out the door and making tracks for Antony and Shade's house. Touda didn't know what he'd do if Antony answered the door, the blue boy wouldn't like it if he knew Touda was throwing himself into what could be a dangerous situation. Not even his admiration for Antony would stop him, however.
Slightly out of breath he made it to the front door and knocked forcefully. He was here for a purpose, no wimpy fearful little knocks for him. He'd break the damn door down if he had to.
