Maponus – The Father


Like the meaning of his name, 'Divine Son,' Maponus finds strength from being a believer of the herds ways. He is both spiritually and physically strong, dedicated to his beliefs and is a protector of those who are close to him. Maponus possesses an almost unending stamina that can rival that of a much younger horse. It is the combination of strength and stamina that allows him to complete tasks that would otherwise seem impossible. While he may sometimes seem to be a horse of few words he is very intelligent and would talk your ear off if you ask him about his herd, their beliefs or anything else he deems important.

Shylah – The Mother


Shylah's name means 'loyal to god, strong' and the little chocolate mare certainly lives up to this title. She fiercely believes in the traditions and way of life her herd is steeped in, Shylah simply cannot fathom a way of life other then one spent following the will of the Spirits as told by the herd Elders. While some might think this would make her a shy and timid mare it is not so - Sjylah has an inner strength of will that would put most stallions to shame, but it is paired with a soft voice and kind nature a combination that makes her a force to be reckoned with, though her competitors may not know it until they find themselves bobbing their heads in agreement to her plans.

Name: Savir
Meaning: Patient

Personality: Savir appears kind and wise beyond his years. He is, even as a foal, willing to sit down and aid in teaching and or simply observe and learn himself. However, due to his extreme interest in the position he is interested in, and his deep love for the ways of the herd, he has serious mistrust for any and all horses outside of the herd, particularly those who are not willing to learn. Those who have just joined and believe in their ways he is willing to learn to trust, and treats them with simple kindness at first, before slowly adjusting to fully accept them to treating them with the same patience and understanding he gives herd members. However those who break rules, or reject the ideas and beliefs the herd is founded on, are met with a diffrent stallion then he shows others. He is slightly cold to them, and his words often come off with a bit of a rude edge to them. He doesn't see himself as superior, but he does see the herd as being superior to the nonbelievers and horses who cannot see the wondrous life they could live if they simply admitted their wrongness and joined the herd. He NEVER resorts to trying to hurt another, however, no matter how much he might dislike them.

Extras: The mistrust and coldness is something he'll develop as he grows and learns more about how the world is outside of the herd and that there do exist horses who are not part of the herd and do not believe in the same things they do. Of course this would all end up being through RPs with his family and herd members at first, and as he grows into a yearling he would venture out and meet those who see the world differently. Most likely a horse that is the complete opposite of the herd's beliefs, which would trigger the slightly personality change, causing him to be less then kind to those outside of the herd. And he wouldn't teach his not so nice ways to others, and would try to hide them as much as possible when in the presence of older and younger herd members, seeing it as something to be kept to ones self.

Name: Katima
Meaning: Powerful Daughter

Personality: Katima is strong and independent. She has a slightly stubborn head at times, causing her to find trouble. However she belives it is the will of the spirits that she finds this trouble and in turn is able to take care of it before it tries to effect the rest of the herd. When in the middle of trouble she often speaks softly, often useing cunning to get out of problems, as she hates violence of any kind, beliving that it is only the place of the spirits to harm a being and to do so when not nessisary is an insult to the spirits that will be met with the worst punishment. However if something arises where she must strike out, she asks the spirits for strength and will strike out in order to keep peace. She prefers to guard the elders and senior members of the herd, respecting them the most and seeing the young and foals as being the responsibility of their parents and Moon Guided. She accepts new members of the herd with almost no hesitation, happy they have wanted to join and willing to offer any service she can to get them fully intigrated into the herd. The rule breakers within the herd are not so lucky, and while she will protect them, knowing it is her purpose, she is not terribly concerned should one get hurt. This little part of her is a part she is most ashamed and see Extra for something concerning this. Those who are not part of the herd she feels nothing but pity and hopes the spirits take pity on them.

Extras: Beliving that the fact she isn't upset if a rule breaker is harmed is something horribly shameful and will upset the spirits, she will at some point in her life confide in a Spirit Walker or a Grove Keeper about this part of her in the hopes that it will be clensed from her and to learn what she must do to make it up to the spirits.

Name:Nalani
Meaning:the heavens
Personality: Having been raised in the ways of their people, Nalani is completely devoted to them. She may be shy and timid, but when duty calls or someone threatens their faith, she will always be there. Be it for her family, her herd, her job, or her beliefs. This little filly has a kind heart and a will to learn. Nalani sees death as a part of life and honors every day as a gift. She has also studied in the ways of healing so that she might fill in for the healer in their absence.

Extras: She is devoted to her beliefs and her family and places them before herself.

Name:Ortzi
Meaning: Basque name meaning "sky."
Personality: Ortzi is not the strongest, nor the bravest of his siblings, but he does as well as he can. He was not made for violence, and so instead of following his other brother as a Lunar Guardian, he went the way of the Moon Guided. Teaching those who are new to their ways brings him pleasure and a sense of accomplishment. Ortzi especially enjoys teaching the foals of the herd. Though he will eventually grow up, he will always, in some ways, remain a foal at heart. Playing with the youngsters of their herd and teaching them brings him great joy
