Compared to the Murmuring Pines camp, this place was a dream; it had all of the necessary amenities he was used to such as a bed, a bath, overall somewhere he could get away from everyone and be with himself, something summer camps inherently lacked as a whole. Best of all, you didn't have to walk a long, arduous trail just to get some food: the cafeteria was in doors and it was fairly close to the dorms, just a staircase jaunt away.
After putting all of his things away, Daniel felt drained and tired. The cafeteria was his next location and, even though it was empty, he planted himself on one of the chairs. There were breakfast foods available; cereals in pull off containers, chilled pitchers of milk, apples, oranges, bananas, all sorts of things that made up a "complete" breakfast, so the advertisement goes. Daniel had picked up an apple, as well as a glass of milk and orange juice, finishing it off with a bowl of oatmeal. The food was free, so he might as well indulge, and he was fairly used to big meals anyway as banquets would sometimes be held back home.
Back home... Yes. Murmuring Pines was an awkward escape, but this was a far more ideal get away. Even if things had privately been looking up before he had left for Majesco Academy, there was no denying that home wasn't so great and a good long time away would be just what the doctor ordered.
"Mm... Classes still don't start for a while..." he thought aloud, uncaring as there was no one to be found within the vast room. It was difficult to tell what they were supposed to occupy their time with, but there was supposed to be some sort of assembly in the coming days, assigning partners and letting each student know what their classes were. Or had he misunderstood... There were so few students here just yet, it was almost as if the Academy was abandoned. Alternatively, though he hadn't been quite a social butterfly at camp, he recalled it being absolutely packed at times.
Majesco was like a ghost town compared to Murmuring Pines and it was somewhat worrying.
Don't bother yourself. It's a school, of course things will pick up... There might have been a lot of camps across the states, but this is the only Academy they've made somewhat public in the US... Yes, things would work out, one way or another.
