[I'll get the map back up and descriptions up later, but the guild is really dying here... in order to get things going, I am re-making the places where my characters were. I don't remember where yours were, so make some new ones!]

[ Also, please note, this is a few days after the initial incident. We are assuming everyone has bunked down to safe positions, and are coninuing on after that. ] [ If your characters are in an akward place to move from, move them anyhow. We'll start fresh with a new night, leaving behind the chaos of yesteryear. ]
Maren lay on the couch, eyes shut, television flashing images of fear, politicians and mythology to her unresponsive form. The possibility of some mythologies existing had opened up the world for the rest of them, and now a veritable religious war was going on, fuling the fear-driven political one.
Not to say she wasn't paying attention, no. As she lay, Maren soaked in information, ordering and sorting what her children were reading, learning, understanding. Newspapers, news reports, documents both public and private from around the world. Knowing had always been half the battle, but in this battle of suits and words, knowing was the battle.

Blood, blood, blood. Currency of the life, currency of the soul. A currency she was in short supply of now, since her bottlery was lost with The Babylon. Currency that kept she and her family alive, the centre of their existance. The neighborhoods were serving them well, but it was only a temporary solution. It kept them supplied, steadily, but for how much longer?
Options, options, there were always options. It all hinged on not getting caught, on blending into the world. They had always done that before, but now, now they were known. Now it was harder, to hide, to stay unseen. Their blending would have to be deeper, stronger, complete. A new passport, driver's lisence, credit cards, all had been re-made for her new name, her new self. Carly Richards, a young brunette stay-at-home soccer mom, at least for now.
Blood. Victims. Death. That would never work. Blood. Medical, banks? Blood banks? They would never supply, at least not soon enough. The city was sure on starving the Vampries out, making villans of the immortals before they had to settle. This would have to be taken care of quickly, efficiently, and soon.
Blood banks. The source of all legal blood in the country. That would be the key, but how would she get into one, how would she catch hold of it?
... How would she make her own?
Maren was a business woman at heart, after all. A little enterpenureship had always been worth the investment. This idea, this curling little flame of thought in her mind seemed to banish all else at its birth; what if she made her own bank? Her own source of blood? How did the other banks get their supply? Money, of course. She had money. Even with the relevation of her being a Vampire, she had access to her Swiss accounts, the eternity claus on them had never worn off. Gaining money had never been a hard feat for her, with every new identity they had manufactured new funds, taken money from her victims. She had the entire neighborhood's income at her disposal. Now, what to do with it...

Yami had quietly maneuvered through the house to the couch where his wife was resting. The television was on, but her eyes were closed. She appeared to be deep in thought. "Perplexed on what we do next?" The man lowered himself and pressed his lips against Maren's forehead. His eye darted over the television and for a moment, Yami's face cringed in disgust before his gaze returned to his wife. A sigh glided out of his mouth. "How troublesome."

"There's not a lot we can do," she murmured to him, eyes still closed. "But, I have an idea. I will need your help, I need a human to run the organization. A human we can trust, someone to take legal control of the operation. Until everything clears, we have to make it look like a human operation." Her eyes opened, colored contacts making them appear brown, her hair cut, straightened, brown as well. Nondescript and unassuming, her new disguise would blend in with the best of them. "We need blood, we all need blood. I want to open a blood bank."
A thought occured to her as she glanced up over her shoulder, "Where is Senia? Perhaps... perhaps she could front it. Maybe an Angel supporting it all would make everything a little... better."

Vala walked calmly into the living room, bowl of fruit loops and milk balanced in one hand, orange juice in the other, and her chinese homework tucked carefully under her arm. Stepping back with first one leg then the other, she settled cross-legged into a large reclining chair, careful to set first the bowl, then her homework, then the juice on the coffee table. "CanIchangethechannel?" she asked, the phrase becoming a single word for the speed that she said it. Vala carefully set her workbook in her lap and opened to the page, letting her pencil fall in the spine as she reached for her bowl of fruit loops.
"Only if you watch something in Mandarin," Maren told her, "It's time for studying right now."

"A blood bank would be a good idea. Its quite odd how these current events changed your... attitude towards your eating habits." He watched his daughter work on her studies with a warm-hearted smile. We could also have Solice or Leo help out in ownership. I'll call for both of them to discuss this with you. Oh! I've decided to take Karie out to train. Our daughter's knight needs to be strong afterall. Perhaps Vala could come too?" The demon smiled kindly as he seeked permission from his wife to take their daughter away from her studies.
'Leo, Solice, please head over to the K'Meric House. Maren has some matters she would like to discuss with you.'
Karie soon came from her and Vala's room dressed in jeans, a black hoodie whose sleeves were ripped off, and underneath, a long sleeve violet shirt. She snuck up behind Vala and after wrapping her arms around her friend, her lips gently pressed against the girl's cheek. "Working hard?"

"My preferred eating habits havn't changed, but I've got to put my own desires on hold for survival." Maren answered back, "Once we are in a safer position, I'll be back to my usual ways. Vala, you'll be glad to know, will not." "What?! But mum!" Vala whimpered, almost spilling her cereal. "No buts, Vala. You'll be living among Humans from now on, you can't eat them anymore." "What about you?" Vala argued, "Why do you get to eat however you please?" "Because I am not playing a part in this society, I'm a wanted murderer, they know what I've done. If they ever find me I'll be dead in minutes. They don't know what you've done, you've got a clean slate. You get to fit in and forget what you used to think." An annoyed, wolfish growl left her throat as she returned to her cereal, clearly not satisfied with the answer. It was so unfair! Why did she have to act all prim and proper while her mother got to do whatever she wanted? Why did she have to make that stupid video, why did they have to stay inside all the time, why did they have to burn down The Babylon, her home? It wasn't fair, it just wasn't fair. At the option of going out Vala was out of the chair and beside her father in an instant, bowl of cereal forgotten on the table. "I'm going." She said, a statement rather than a question.
Maren frowned, eyes focused on her daughter. "And you've done your homework?" "I've done calculus, history, English, French, Spanish, Russian, and Norse, modir." She answered back, "The only thing I havn't finished is Chinese, and I can do that tomorrow."
Their argument was broken by Karie's hug, allowing Vala an escape from Maren's decision. "Yes, but I'm coming with you to magic training now, right Daddy?" She asked, imploring her father rather than her mother.

Yami frowned at the arguement of feasting on humans. He frowned even more at his daughter's behavior. With a sigh, he slammed his fist into his forehead. "Ugh... You shouldn't put your daddy into these situations, but on account that your mother has been saying I need to spend more time with you... Fine.. You can come and watch our training." The devil leaned over and kissed his wife on the lips. "This will give you time to set things up. If you need us, we'll be at the palace. See ya later, love." With that, the three exited the house and headed off to the underground passage.

Sol knocked on the door. His usual black coat over his shoulders. Matte black shirt and equally foreboding pants adorning his body like any other time. He didn't take the time to wait for an answer, he just entered a few seconds after the knock. "What is it?" He asked sounding a little perturbed.

Leo had been hauling a** to the K'Meric house after the message. In the distance, Solice could be seen entering so when the man finally arrived at the door, he too entered. The only other person in the house besides the two was Maren, whose change in appearance Leo was still getting used to. "Ma'am, we were told you needed our help. What do you need?" Leo hurled over and begun catching his breath. That run took it right out of him.

Still bothered by their argument Maren sat up on the couch as she heard the knocking, well aware of who it was as she made her way to the kitchen. "It's not an emergency, but it's something I need help getting started. I can't actually be involved in any way, you see, no immortal can. I need humans to start this up."
She sat herself down at the kitchen table, "The idea is simple enough, I want to open a Blood Bank, one that caters to Vampires. We'll pay twice what the regular banks pay to volunteers and charge non-famillial Vampires for the blood in return. I need you to scout out a location, on top of the old Babylon would be ideal, but something that has at least four stories, is close to a major district and to police headquarters to keep human retaliation down would be our next best option. I also need someone to sign the paperwork and run the front, this entire operation has to be done by humans until such a time as the other races become legal. I will fund the operation and direct it, then assume control once everything has settled. Will you help me?"

Sol wanted to frown but allowed a slight down tug of his lips be the only emotional reference to displeasure. "I don't do business." He replied dryly. "Scouting locations is easy enough..." He closed his eyes as he breathed inwards, then exhaled. "

"Alright, then Leo will run it on a day-to-day basis. Let me assure you that this is still my venture, and I will be making all the major decisions, and directing all flow. I cannot be in the building or on the premisis in any way until Vampires are made legal, and even then, it will have to be in secret." "Also see if a near-by building has a top-floor flat for rent. I prefer to keep close to my business ventures. Do you know anyone that might be willing to work as a blood taker or a clerk? I also need to get the security for the site set up."

Solice pocketed his hands in his jacket pockets, before thinking of a few faces with names attached to them. "I have a few contacts who may fit the bill..." He said opening his eyes. "That all?"
